We've been here twice and the view is wonderful! This last time we were there, it was such a nice day to sit outside and enjoy and hard cider and some oysters. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We had a Baja cod sandwich, an avocado blt and 3 fish and chips. Everything was good. I would not order the fish and chips again just because I don't like my fish battered. Just person preference. Stopped into the Pearl on a Wednesday night during the summer while our wives were next door at Ceradli for a girl's night. We were seated immediately at a high top. While outdoor seating is available on the rooftop, there was a longer wait for that area and we opted to stay inside. During our visit, we enjoyed a plate of the nachos, and all tried the Fish & Chips. The nacho plate was really good. We appreciated the very shareable size of the plate and the abundance of jalapenos. The Fish & Chips were typical, nothing I'd travel for, but there was nothing wrong with them either. They were just OK. The fans inside did not keep up with the body temperature of all of the patrons and it's quite opened to the outside, so don't pop in expecting to cool off. It was only slightly less humid than it was outside. The service was great, we were checked in on regularly and were never without a drink. All in all, if I'm in the area again and hungry, I'd pop in for a plate and a few drinks, but I wouldn't travel out of my way to visit. read more

I've come to the Pearl a few times before. I'm a local and decided to bring a few of my college friends who were visiting. We all LOVED it! The shrimp tacos are incredibly good - they fill them with these bang-bang-like shrimp and they're to die for. I really appreciate how the tacos come with a side -- I believe you could choose regular fries, homemade chips, or cole slaw. I've noticed that most restaurants don't provide any sides with their tacos. At most, some rice or beans. But it's very awesome that a side is included with the tacos. $19 for some very yummy seafood tacos and a side is a great price on the Cape. We had some blueberry mojitos which were great, as well as some really yummy clam chowder. We sat on the back enclosed patio area. A little buggy, but nothing they can really do about it because screens are in place. Overall such a fine time :) and my college friends got merch on the way out!!! read more

I had such a good experience at the Pearl! I very rarely give out five stars, but honestly, I have nothing to nitpick from this experience. We were seated on the patio, with plenty of space between us and others, so we felt safe in COVID times. Everyone wore their masks, over their noses and mouths, and we felt very taken care of. We all got drinks and they were all satisfying, from local beer to frosé to cider and more. My BF and I got oysters, which were super fresh and delicious. They were also well shucked, no shell pieces to be found. My mom got the oyster sashimi, which had thin pieces of ginger and maybe ponzu sauce? I can't remember now, but whatever it was, it was frickin' bomb. Maybe the bite of the night. My dad got a stuffed quahog, which was HUGE, rich, and filling. For my meal, I got the baked scallops, and they were just fantastic. The casserole dish was brimming with scallops, perfectly cooked, baked with leeks, mushrooms, fennel seeds, bacon, and bechamel sauce, topped with crushed crackers. I subbed the potatoes out for more veggies, which were roasted and not overdone. The dish was SO SO rich, as you can tell from the bacon and bechamel, but it all came together really nicely. The leeks and mushrooms lended a bunch of umami flavor and the crackers were so crispy on top, giving additional texture to the dish. I could have easily split this with someone, BUT.... I ate it all myself. Everything here sounded fantastic, and I'd definitely return to eat my way through the menu. read more

Genuinely love this place and come all the time with my family and friends. It's a must stop especially when we have people out on the cape for the first time. Best rum punch out there. However, the service does not do well under stress and we had a really terrible experience with that yesterday. There was an understandable limit to the amount of people allowed in due to OysterFest and the hostess downstairs was being as accommodating as she could with patrons as they got inside. We were told we could go up on the roof deck and when we did, the waitress working up there yelled at us that our weight was out of compliance with what the deck could hold (lmao) and that it was not acceptable that we came up there "without permission." The tables were empty up there (so no risk of the deck collapsing from our weight) and that is the epitome of what I mean when I say the service does not always deal well with stress. She could have just told us politely to please hang by the bar instead. I have had a few less offensive situations similar to this there but truly this one was enough. This was my second time eating at the Pearl. My fiance and I went here our very first year at the Cape and eight years later we decided maybe it was time to try it again... Atmosphere: It was surprisingly busy for the time of day we went. We went around 5pm and the place was already packed! I am glad that they are getting good business despite COVID-19, as the restaurant industry has certainly taken a hit with this. The restaurant really has a beautiful view because it is right by the shore. They were offering outdoor dining but we ended up inside because a table opened up there first and it was very hot outside. Our table ended up being a two-top on an enclosed patio. Tables seemed to be spaced out per regulations. Staff were all wearing masks as well. I didn't feel "unsafe" at any point in time. The decor was your standard "cape cod fisherman's warf" type. It is definitely a family-type restaurant as there were large parties of people and comfortably noisy. It's a fun place to dine in the Cape. Service: The restaurant doesn't allow you to make reservations so we did have a slight wait, but not bad at all. Once we were seated our waiter, Michael, came right over to get out drink orders. He was very friendly and professional. He brought our drinks promptly, took our order right afterwards. He answered any questions I had about the menu and gave his honest recommendations. The wait for our food was totally reasonable. He checked in with us and was on top of keeping our water glasses full. Getting our bill and checking out was all right on point as well. Staff seemed to be compliant with the current COVID-19 recommendations, at least as far as I could tell! Food: I got the cod with lemon beurre blanc sauce (per our waiter's recommendation) and it came with rice and a veggie medley. The cod was very good! It was perfectly moist and flaky. I appreciated that they provide the sauce separately so you can control the amount that you put on. The sauce was creamy and buttery with a hint of lemon. I would've liked a little more lemon, but that's just a personal preference. The veggies were super tasty - a mix of green beans, carrots, summer squash, and zucchini. I could've eaten a whole plate of those. The rice was the only criticism I would have about the dish. It was very bland and starchy. There were herbs in it but it just wasn't flavorful. Perhaps I just had a bad batch? I mixed the lemon sauce in the rice and that seemed to remedy the situation for the most part. My fiance got the shrimp and scallop scampi. He said the scampi sauce was the star of the show. The amount of shrimp and scallops was fair, about 5 each and they definitively didn't cheat you on the amount of pasta. The pasta was cooked appropriately. He said it would've been nice if they had brought some bread and butter to accompany the dish but overall he was satisfied. Cost: Prices for all the dishes are pretty standard across the board. My fish dinner was $25 and his scampi was $26. I just had water to drink, but my fiance got beers which ran in that $6-7 range, which is about what we were paying at other restaurants. If you get a burger or sandwich type meal your cost is more around $15, so again, reasonable costs. As mentioned above, it's a fun place to eat and you beat the location right on the harbor. I love this place. They have an accommodating covid section outside where you can still hear the live band perfectly, if there happens to be one playing. The seafood here is AMAZING and soo fresh! The tuna tartar could not have felt more fresh, or tasted better. Same goes for the oysters, which are local. Calamari was delish and crispy. Drinks were good. Really cute atmosphere by the water and marina, and has great bands play. Fun, casual, & relaxed dress code (you can just rolll off the beach and come). Would recommend for after a day at the beach. I went to eat here but the live music was so very loud that I decided to order takeout instead and eat at the picnic tables at Mayo Beach (where you could still hear the music clear as a bell). The food was ready on time, but they didn't have any takeout utensils. So much for eating with a view. So I went back to my place and when I got there discovered they hadn't closed the lid properly on my food and the sauce had spilled all over the bag, soaking through and causing a huge mess. It the lobster meat was from "short lobsters" which have shrunken claw meat which just isn't very good. The fries were hot and the slaw was good. This is a pretty big restaurant with lots of space indoor and and a big deck on top. The views are of the harbor and a marsh. Very pleasant. Service was fine. The low reviews did not match our experiences at all! We came on a Saturday right as they opened for lunch and had a beautiful view of the harbor. We had eaten a large breakfast, so it was cocktails and a snack at the bar. Based on other reviews, we ordered the Solstice and a basket of HEAVEN truffle fries. We LOVED it! The bartender was fantastic, kind and made us feel super welcome. When an elderly gentleman with a walker came in, he was immediately on the other side of the bar to helped him get seated. My family ate here twice during our recent trip to the outer cape. We really enjoyed the Pearl. The 1st trip we ate on the 2nd floor patio overlooking Wellfleet harbor. What better place to eat Wellfleet oysters? The raw bar items were fresh and tasty. We also had nachos to share which were surprisingly good. I also had their lobster roll which was delicious. The 2nd time we went during happy hour and they had a great live band playing. We again enjoyed raw oysters and clams, very fresh. Unbelievable experience at Pearl Restaurant in Welfeet. Very big space with multiple areas for the public to enjoy drinks and food with a nice view of the water. Service was also great. My waiter's name was Jack and he handled my table along with a full section of tables very well. He was polite and attentive, making it a great experience. I am a fan of this place! The food blew me out of the water. We started with the lobster artichoke dip and the calamari, both of which are must-haves. For dinner I had a Cobb Salad with salmon, and the salmon was cooked to perfection. I also got to try the lobster roll (pictured below) which was, again, very good. I gave the pickle an 8/10. However, we had some problems, namely with the wait time. After waiting for our table, we had our meals planned out and ordered right away. However, it still took quite a while for our apps and entrees to be delivered to us. Normally, this would not bother me. However, our waitress failed to come over to reassure us or anything. We only saw her when she took our orders and delivered our food. I understand with COVID it can be hard to get staffing so things take longer, but I typically get kind moments from the wait staff when this occurs. But, again, the food is amazing. Just maybe catch them at a time where there is less of a demand, or more staff. read more
