Been a couple years but it's gonna be back to basics this trip. Last time was a disappointment but this is still the only Chinese takeout within short distance of my resort. So as you have likely seen elsewhere, they no longer have dine-in or table service. All the booths, chairs and tables basically remain a junk pile now. It's clean inside but rundown too. Ceiling tiles need replacing, walls need repainting. A couple of empty fish tanks on the tabletops. Same young lady running the counter; older couple nowhere to be seen. I'm guessing this is their daughter as I've stated previously. She's fairly pleasant and runs around like crazy keeping up w/ the phone, DoorDash, and walk ins too. One odd note...as she was finishing a small rush, she came out of kitchen with a plate of food. She plopped it on one of the disused tables in back best kitchen...then she started eating her OWN dinner while listening to Chinese programming on her phone. Basics, as I wrote above, constitute fried dumplings, egg roll, two kinds of soup (hot and sour; wonton), plus PFR as I prefer...lots of scallions and bean sprouts. Still pretty decent chow overall. We had an excellent experience at this restaurant today. It is pick-up only and no dine in. I had the orange chicken combination dinner and all elements (soup and egg roll) that were included were tasty, hot, and awesome. The chicken fried rice was enormous and basically two meals. The pork fried rice (GF) (quart) that we ordered was also quite tasty and good/safe for gluten-free patrons. The half gallon (GF) PFR is only $15. Enough for a family. It was not soy free though. It's currently take out only so we ordered to take back to our hotel. They had 7 items ready in about 20 minutes. The portions were huge! We ordered the moo goo gai pan, pepper steak, orange flavored chicken, general tso, chicken and broccoli, Singapore noodles, hot and sour soup, and boneless spare ribs. We all loved the Singapore noodles. It has a lot of spice and was really flavorful. The general Tso and orange chicken were the least favorite. Their breaded chicken just wasn't a hit with us. They gave enormous portions for their Singapore noodles, seafood chow mein, and sweet and sour chicken over rice. One dish alone is enough to feed at least 2 people. DO NOT ORDER THEIR FRIED RICE. The rice is likely cooked a while ago and left at room temperature for a long time which caused bacteria like bacilus cereus to multiply. Here is a rough timeline of what happened when I ate the yang chow fried rice: 4-10 hrs later: woke up to extreme nausea and vomiting 10-24 hrs later: diarrhea, nausea, fatigue and dehydration. I got a fever during this time and experienced chills. Whatever rehydration drinks I had immediately left my body as diarrhea and this caused a whole host of problems. 16-24 hrs later: acute headaches, muscle cramping. The menu is traditional Americanized Chinese food. You name it, they've got it. I ordered their iced oolong tea which was phenomenal. I ordered a combination platter for my meal: sweet and sour pork with fried rice, an egg roll and wonton soup. While we waited the restaurant got busier in busier. The phone rang off the hook the entire time. I was feeling much better about this place. The wonton soup was great. The egg roll was too. The sweet and sour pork was pretty good as well (the breading could have been a little lighter) and I enjoyed the fried rice. You get huge portions of food there so come hungry. We had a very funny server who kept checking up on us (almost constantly). If we weren't eating he'd ask us why, "don't you like?" We assured him we did and that everything was fine. We tried this place because it was the only Chinese place that would answer the phone. I wasn't impressed with the food - General Tso Chicken, asked for extra spicy and couldn't even taste the spice. The combinations meals are a bit over priced - you can't substitute any of the soups or egg rolls. Be prepared the combination dinner platters are more rice than the actual entree that you order. The people operating the phone are rude and inconsiderate! I ordered today two orders of Chinese food for delivery, the restaurant is 8 minutes away from my location. I placed the order at 6:00pm and it is now 7:50 pm and my food is not here yet. I have hungry children who have been waiting to eat for now almost two hours. I called at 7:00pm one hour after my order was placed and they told me that the driver should be arriving soon. I then called again at 7:30pm and the person who picked up the phone gave me an attitude and said that the food should get here any minute and hung up on me. What bothers me the most is that they could have just called me to tell me they were running late and I would have picked up instead of having my kids starving. This is one of my favorite Chinese Restaurant close to where I work. It is located by Central Florida Parkway and Orange Wood, where there is a Publix and other shopping stores. They have to go and delivery service. I always come here for lunch, right is good and the quality of the food is amazing, portion is just right for lunch. Amazing staff and the owner is very nice. He is there to serve and talk to you to see how is the food. My favorite dish is Shrimp with vegetables; curry chicken; pepper steak. Lunch comes with egg roll or soup. Their hot and sour soup is one of the best I ever had. Today my daughter likes the cook corn soup and owner is very nice to substitute the soup with no charge. Highly disappointed. The sesame chicken isn't what I thought it would be. I would rather go to Pei Wei and order theirs. When ordering from GrubHub it says special wontons and I thought they were cream cheese which are my favorite. Instead they have some weird meat in the middle and in scared to eat it. Luckily it was only $13 but I guess you get what you pay for. Every bite makes me want to puke, but I'm so hungry and at work, I really can't do much but write this review. I would only come back here if say your starving and your gas tank is empty and this is the only good place on the planet that's near you, and you only have $10 order from here. I just find it awkward when the chicken is brown and not red sauce when it comes to sesame chicken. I mean it's overly packed with sesame seeds, that's cool...
