Short trip back to my hometown and was only staying long enough for one weekend Brunch and decided to check out Pecado since it's fairly new. We arrived around 11am on a Sunday with no reservations and was sat immediately. I absolutely loved the decor and the dim lighting, what a vibe not to mention the Reggaeton playing at the perfect volume to enjoy but still have a conversation. We both ordered the Jalisco Flower, I hesitated ordering this because of the grapefruit but wow you couldn't taste it at all and I'm really glad i got this over your typical mimosa. I was very intrigued by all of the selections on the brunch menu as they were all unique. We couldn't decide so we opt for picking two entrees and sharing . We went with the chorizo hash and the churro waffle with a side of yuca fritas. Absolutely speechless on how amazingly delicious both were. I'm back with another review! This time for brunch! Again, we were super impressed. The food was delicious. Both my fiancé and I absolutely loved the tres leches French toast. It melted in your mouth and had just the right amount of sweetness. The eggs Benedict with chorizo and avocado was so flavorful. The chipotle hollandaise sauce was a great touch. My fiancée enjoyed his breakfast burrito. It was packed with so many great ingredients and had a delicious ranchero sauce on top. We had a reservation for the day after Christmas and as always the service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive. Now the problem, how can we decide between dining in for brunch or dinner ?! LOL we will have to alternate :) we love Pecado ! We will be back. read more

Came in for our first time and sat at the bar with Mel and Josh. Both of them were absolutely amazing!!! We not only had great service but laughed so much as well. Both Mel and Josh were so knowledgeable about the menu and drinks that our experience was on point. We had spicy margs and passion fruit margs which were both incredible. I think this spot is a great addition to main street Bayshore. The food was great, drinks were great, pricing is exactly what you'd expect. All of the staff was really friendly. The decor and atmosphere was very enjoyable. From the music to the lighting. I do think the bartender could have been a bit more alert / observant on drink refills. I'd say that if my drink didn't sit empty most of the time, I would have had the want to order 2-3 more drinks -- The longer I sit and wait, the less I want to drink. However, this is a very minor thing. If you love verde, coastal, and all of the spots main street has to offer, this spot is right up there with the best of them. I think the menu is a bit more complex then verde and coastal, more to offer is nice. Also met the owner, he was friendly and very observant to each and every customer. Wow has this place gone downhill. I'm only giving any stars at all because the food and drinks are pretty good. But the service? The service has slowly gone downhill for us probably over the last 2 months or so, and it culminated with a visit to the restaurant for Cinco de Mayo. Before this last time, we were noticing that it was taking probably 20 minutes for the drinks to come out, and one time we actually got our food before the drinks. And once we got chips with no salsa, and despite asking again for it, it never came. It was frustrating, but never enough that we would stop going. Then Cinco de Mayo rolls around. We managed to get a reservation for 8:15, which is really late for us for dinner, but we decided to make it work. We got there at 8:15 on the nose, but had to wait a short time to be seated. We understood considering it was a busy night. We waited probably about 10 minutes for the waitress to come greet us, and she informed us that the bar is backed up and it may be a while for our drinks. We understood, and ordered some guacamole. Another 10 minutes go by, still nothing has come to the table, and we start to realize that it may be a good idea to order more because apparently the bar was not the only thing backed up. So we do, and then we waited. And waited. And waited. A total of 35 minutes go by, and we finally received our guacamole, but still no drinks. I go to open my napkin so we can start eating, and I am greeted with hardened guacamole on it. That was it. We will never come back to this place. It's a shame. We really liked it. But they either need more help, or better staff. I don't know. read more

Was excited to have a new Mexican restaurant in Bay Shore. Pecado did not disappoint. The atmosphere is modern yet cozy. We had a reservation and were seated promptly by the hostess. I had the Fall margarita made with cinnamon & apple cider. It was great. Our food was delicious. The chile relleno was filled with mushrooms & lots of cheese. It was so flavorful. The tamale & mole chicken enchiladas were good as well. Tres Leches was delicious & not too sweet. Our server, Danielle, was excellent and answered any questions we had. Of the many choices along Main St in Bay Shore Pecado is the best! Best atmosphere, best food and most of all service and welcoming from Chris and Vince at the bar. The tequila selection lacks nothing. I was treated like a local and went with what was recommended. The street corn was the best, and save room for dessert, the tres leche is over the top. Was looking forward to trying this restaurant for the longest time. Beautiful aesthetics with a great looking ambiance. All that beauty couldn't hide the horrific service. The server was as lazy as possibly imaginable. She got a two entree wrong and didn't apologize. She never came to see how our food was after it was brought to the table. The food runner dropped the plates and kept it moving. Water glasses were never refilled. The salmon was partially raw on the inside. The skirt steak was like chewing fake rubber meat that had no taste, other than of salt. Everything was clearly over salted too make up for the tasteless food. The only positive was the fresh guacamole. There were only two tables plus ours in the restaurant, so it wasn't busy. To top it all off, the irony of this all is..... no one was even trying to fake it since he was either the owner or manager sitting at the back table with his lap top the entire time we were there. That tells me this is just coming practice the staff exhibits Save your time and money and avoid this location like the pandemic, bc for 140 dollars for this experience we could of had two 3 for me from Chilis and had way better service, quality of food and saved a ton of money. read more

This was one of the best meals and experiences I have had in a long time and probably ever on long island. The food start to finish was incredible. We started with the nachos with barbacoa and octopus then had the roast pork and steak tacos and finished with the churros and pumpkin flan. Everything was so well balanced and flavorful. I could eat my whole meal all over again. Our waitress jasmine so very knowledgeable and brought so much fun energy to our dinner while Josh was able to come from behind the bar to talk to me about the different tequilas they offer (which is much more then most places) and able to recommend me something i havent tried before and was incredibly knowledgeable on all the tequilas and their backgrounds. Id like to bring everyone i ever met here just so i have excuses to come back and eat everything else on the menu. This is definitely my new favorite place and i will recommend it to everyone i come across.
