I found him through my insurance, and he had great reviews. So I had a consultation with him, and found him to be knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and very attentive to my questions and concerns. He was a pro and walked me through the process, step by step-- which helped ease my anxiety, a lot!! His office staff are AMAZING too!! Super friendly, kind, attentive, and total pros!! When I left their office many years ago, my balance was zero. Me and my Insurance Company have paid all there is to pay to the Advanced Digestive Center of Southern California. We have paid every bill and co-pay on time and in full. I have called their billing department to clear things up but the billing representative gave me incorrect information and started listing days, times and procedures that I had never been a part of. I told her she was terribly mistaken that her information was incorrect. I also told her my balance was Zero. She said ok, someone would call me back, but they never did. After reading their YELP reviews, I noticed their billing department has great difficulty with billing their clients correctly. I can see from their Yelp reviews that many, many people have the exact same complaint that I do: billing for no reason, billing incorrectly, etc. Also their employees are terribly rude to customers and could care less about everything, especially YOU. I think it is terrible this company does this same thing to other folks. Like I said, I do not owe this company any money.

I reported to referring physician, at his urging attempted yet again to provide the "missing" data and reschedule the appointment. Again, met with unhelpful and arrogant staff who could not clarify what alleged forms had yet to be completed prior to appointment or they would cancel without further notice. Requested to speak with office manager. Office manager did finally figure out which "forms" they cancelled the appointment over, instead of a humble apologetic attitude, I was met with an arrogant disregard for my experience with them. Despite the fact that I was working very hard to get to the bottom Of which forms they required, and had already been inconvenienced and any diagnosis prolonged at the expense of my health, this office manager continued to reprimand and arrogantly repeat that if I did not Complete the forms they would cancel the appointment again without any further notice! It was so unpleasant I can only imagine what moving forward with this physician's office would have entailed and chose to see a different physician. Cannot comment on the competence of the physician. Good gastro's are plentiful in the LA area I strongly do not recommend this office.

Regardless I remember getting my first colonoscopy at a health south facility. Remember them, I do, from the moment of laying down and having to plead with them to give me anesthesia as they were not sure of the insurance I had would pay for it, thankfully they must have caved, as I don't remember the procedure. Which was the only thing I can be thankful that happened that fateful day. No, when I came to Dr. George came by, didn't stop and dropped off a color photo of a tumor in my colon. I remember asking "what do I do?" He responded on his way to his next procedure "you go to a general surgeon". This was my last interaction/only interaction with Dr. George. Then the nurse informed me that I would likely be wearing a "colostomy bag" going forward. This is 100% how it happened and I was so angry. I was 30 years old and coincidentally this happened on my daughter's 1st birthday. The lack of bedside manner by this POS was mind blowing. I did get my Colon resection by a stud Colon rectal surgeon and wonderful chemo care from a great Oncologist. I'm 54 now and have had dozens of clear colonoscopies and never ever have had this type of treatment. I have had other procedures as well and some that required hospital stays, anesthesia, you name it I've been very fortunate for the care that I've been given. But I'll never forget how pompous and uncaring George was, and I really would encourage you to go to Dr. Daneshagar, who is a lovely man with a local practice.

I had a colonoscopy for the first time and was nervous about the procedure. Dr. Daneshgar and his team went above and beyond to reassure me that I was in good hands, and I was! His staff was so incredibly kind and caring towards me that it helped calmed my nerves during the procedure. I absolutely love his staff- seriously the nicest people ever! After the colonoscopy I was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis. I was on medication and recovering from home. Every single day (including weekends) Dr. Daneshgar called or texted me asking how I was feeling. Do you know any other doctor who would do that?! He truly cares about his patients and I am so grateful that he is my doctor. BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE! Since my condition was so severe, I was admitted in the hospital. Dr. Daneshagar called the hospital ahead of time and had already secured me a bed and made all the arrangements. All I had to do was check in. Now, I've never been admitted in a hospital before and dealing with a new disease is hard enough and having my doctor with me every step of the way made this entire situation easier and made me feel like I was in good hands. I was in the hospital for 5 days undergoing more aggressive treatment and infusions. Every day Dr. Daneshagar would visit me in the hospital to see how I was doing. Just ONE example of the excellent care was when I was sitting in a hospital bed at an unnamed hospital in Burbank for days and Dr. A. asked why I was still there. Contrary to the many drs. treating me who seemed to know little about Warfarin, he told me that there is no issue with removing my g-tube even though I was on Warfarin and then he PROMPTLY removed it and I went home later that day. He's a young, intelligent doctor that has good bedside manners and talks to you in a non-condescending way. He's very good at explaining things and working with you to understand your ailment. Wildly unprofessional to the extent that I am wondering if her negligence is due to bias, religious…read moreor otherwise. I work in health care, and do not generally experience this kind of thing. I was told to see her and schedule a medical procedure involving surgery. I was not provided other options. I scheduled to meet her. She was extremely brief and direct, but kindly. I liked her in the brief time I met her. I scheduled the procedure many months in advance and never spoke with her again. The week prior I did her prep protocol. I am aware that people can feel ill prior but I was so violently ill for 3 days with her prep care medicine that I was up all night sick and unable to function. It impacted my family as I was incredibly ill. Faint, hot/ cold, throwing up, sick in a car. The only times I have ever been that sick are when 1) I was in the ER with my appendicitis and 2) directly after a six hour surgery due to anesthesia. Also once in Paris after having shellfish but that passed in 5-6 hours, this went on for days. I let the office know multiple times and asked if she could please talk with me. I spoke with reception and an assistant, no nurse and no doctor. They reduced the medicine and I started to feel better. I spoke with a family member who is a hospitalist out of state and he was really concerned. I asked about other options and was told there are some, not as solid, but less likely to make me sick and suggested I speak with the doctor. I called the office to discuss but was shut down. Given the effect of the medication, I was also hesitant to go under without talking with her. I canceled the surgery as I really believe in patient care and that the cure should not be worse than the issue. She then sent me a letter I was fired as a patient, certified mail, due to a break down of communication. In other words, there was no communication but me, very sick, asking for a phone call. How could she take the time to arrange that but not call me back when I was incredibly ill from her prep? I believe I am fairly low risk, so having that conversation would have been much appreciated as well. Yet, impressively, she chose to fire me as a patient due to what, why, I wanted to speak with the doctor who prescribed me medication that made me sick? As if I was trying to run back to her after I canceled my surgery? All I wanted was a phone call at the beginning. I do know how busy doctors are and that trivial matters can weigh them down, but I was incredibly sick. The ability to be humble and kind is what makes this world a good place, and had she taken a moment to discuss options I probably would have just moved forward. I still do not have any questions answered. I dislike leaving bad reviews in the health care space, but there is a lot of arrogance and sometimes it is important - she found it necessary to treat me abusively and so there it is. I am not a lab rat and certainly not going to allow someone to perform surgery on me that is so callous they won't take a minute out of their day to speak with me and assuage the issue they created. Patients do need to advocate for their care, we are human and not everything is suited to everyone.
