Finally tried the breakfast burrito and it was good! Got a little bit of everything in each bite. Came with potatoes, rice, beans, cheese, eggs, and choose of meat.

Chips and salsa, champurrado, tortilla soup and chili relleno.

You go into restaurant, pay at counter and choose your table with number. And then they bring your food. I arrived at restaurant right before dinner crowd. I think my eyes were bigger than my stomach, lol. For such a chilly day I had to try the tortilla soup with a champurrado! Soooo good But I did not have room for my chili relleno but will eat it tomorrow. I should not have eaten so many yummy chips and salsa.

Great local sit down Mexican restaurant that offers breakfast on weekends with inside and outside seating. Old fashioned wooden bar and authentic Mexican decor., decent prices for amount of food offered.

Excellent food! I had carne asada taco and carnitas I always try street style with onion and cilantro so I can measure the flavor. I prefer the carnitas crispy without being dried out and not too oily. You get a basket of chips salsa and frijoles while you wait for your food and we wiped it out! The beans were creamy and full of flavor. Chips held up to the dip! My husband also got tacos and chile Rellano and loves it. We tried 3 of their salsas and all were great. Service was also excellent very nice and food was served quickly and hot. Plenty of seating for large families and clean.

Food- still yummy. Will return. Service- not fast. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, keep looking. Ambience- the place is filling up! Never really believed it'd get so busy but it has. And Pedro has another building opening up as a bar next door. Delicious eats, soon to have a bar. And they've taken credit cards for a bit now.

The owners son Rodrigo has great customer service. The burrito I ordered was probably the best burrito I've had in the last few weeks. I always try to swing by here whenever traveling between Vallejo and Sac. You won't be disappointed with the Super Burrito Carnitas and the house made extra spicy salsa that the owner makes.

    Taco Tuesday!

Food was fresh and reasonably priced. I got the Taco Tuesday which included drink and full plate my husband got the Tamale special. The service was friendly and timely. The restaurant was culturally special.

So I was happy to find yet another Sacramento Valley gem away from usual touristy hot spots. I came for a special event with delicious sips, and samples of their menu. The versatile and styled ambience is perfect for a casual date, after work hangout spot, or an elevated wine tasting. Nothing pretentious here though, just lots of heart shown in the thoughtful decor, local art displays, and versatile seating - you can choose to saddle up to the bar, sit at a small table or high top with a group, or lounge in a conversation area of moveable velvet chairs for casual laughs with friends. The drinks are fun and imaginative. I sampled both the cowboy margarita that came with a cute hat decoration, and an Aperol spritz. Many of the guests raved about the mocktail options, such as their rendition of the Shirley Temple. For their size, they have a generous and well curated retail selection of wines, plus a cooler with craft beers and other beverages you can enjoy there or take home. For food they have a solid options of savory items that punch above typical bar food, such as the Croque Monsieur - that I helped myself to seconds of! - escargot, and bone marrow. The owner operator was an amazing host and her team did an awesome job quickly serving our group, who all seemed to descend on the place at once! This a 21+ spot, so you have an excuse to leave the kids at home! Can't wait to return!

My husband and I were dressed up, and it was fairly obvious that we were not college students. After breaking the ice and mentioning that it was my first visit to the Davis location, while my spouse had been there a few times before, the employees became more relaxed and accommodating. I appreciated their friendly service and the generous portion of the Kava Cloud Breaker. The Davis location offers plenty of flavors to choose from, which made for a great experience. Overall, I enjoyed my visit and would definitely stop by again if I'm in the area.

The Cloudbreaker immediately met my taste buds with bitterness and then left my tongue completely numb for several minutes. Perhaps those sensations would have paid off if they were followed by a calming or THC-like effect, but I didn't experience any change in mental state. The comfortable atmosphere saves this establishment from 1 star. Dim lights, leather couches, chill music, and colorful tiki wall art make for a decent study spot or date night. However, if you're hanging out at a business, you gotta support it, and to support it, you gotta buy something -- I can't see myself buying anything kava-related with any ounce of enjoyment. Surely there must be some variation of a kava drink that tastes delightful. I don't want to spend any more money finding out though.

That said, our experience was noticeably impacted by the host. From the moment we walked in, interactions felt more focused on what we couldn't do rather than helping us feel comfortable or welcomed. I was initially told my dog wasn't allowed, which was later clarified when I explained he is a service animal, but subsequent interactions continued to feel corrective rather than hospitable. It stood out because every other staff member we interacted with was warm, social, and inviting, which made the contrast pretty stark. One practical note for future guests: if you order wine, plan to finish it there. They do not offer cork-and-carry, so splitting a bottle only really works if you're prepared to drink a good amount on-site. I'm rooting for this place and hope this feedback is helpful. With a small adjustment in front-of-house approach, this could easily be a fantastic addition to the local bar scene.
