Everything is always delicious at Fonditas. From the carne asada burrito to the buche tacos. One of our regular orders is the tostada's and a pineapple water. Everyone is always friendly and the food is always delicious. One thing to note is that at lunch, it is typically busy with Fort Campbell soldiers since it is one of the closest and fastest restaurants around. They have ample seating until it gets busy. The food turned out to be some of the best and exceeded my expectations. I liked the colorful decor and the cleanliness of the place. There was no traffic. The food was immediately prepped and made. Very impressed. The Lengua was " The Best " I ever had. It was at the lowest price for lengua tacos in Clarksville as well. This is a small spot off the Fort Campbell Blvd. strip. Small menu with pictures and numbers. Fajitas, burritos, quesadillas, and a few other staples. They have a drive through, so it gets busy and food can take a while. I got the California burrito with steak, which includes fries in the burrito. I really wasn't expecting that, but flavors were good and a huge portion size. My husband got a simple chicken burrito that he also enjoyed. We got chips and salsa and guacamole. New to the area, checked ratings and decided to try La Fondita. Picked up 3 plates (quesabirra tacos, enchiladas, and street tacos) which all had beef. From the moment they handed us the plates in the drive thru window, something smelled "off" about them. When we got home we discovered the rancid smell was coming from the beef. I threw out two whole plates that were untouched and the enchilada plate which had a few bites taken. I called the restaurant to let them know the meat was bad and we had to throw everything away. They offered to refund our order but only if we drove back the uneaten food. I dug it out of the trash and took it back to them. My son who had a few bites of the beef enchiladas ended up sick. On a business trip and decided to try this place, I'll try to cover the basics and be fair. Ordered the Fajitas- trio (aka Texas fajitas ) The Good: very fast service. I call ahead and was able to pull up through the drive through for pickup in less than 10 minutes. (5 stars, especially during covid) Excellent salsa. The Verde is amazing ND the regular is good too. Not a fan of the smoky one but I know it's popular in the west so people must like it. Reasonable price. I think this was the most expensive thing kn the menu, so at $12 that's hard to beat (compared to the other restaurants in the area) The bad: The shrimp was very tough and not great at all. The steak was a low quality cut (flank) that was also pretty tough and a bit fatty. You can get away with that if it's small pieces but not the size of a whole taco that you have to chew through. (3 stars...its the main part of the meal) Meat was very salty and greasy (to be expected) . But this was a little more than usual. Not the end of the world. No silverware (on a takeout order?!?) Luckily I bought plastic ware right before picking it up. Not sure how you eat any of that without. 2 napkins. Fine, ok...but they were soaked with grease when I opened it so I was left using tissues from the hotel room. (It's the little things that can go a long way, you know?!) So yea. 5 on good, 3 on bad...I say 4 overall. I'm sure ordering like 4-5 chicken tacos would be the way to go. For the price and quality and under $8 that's hard to beat. read more

Figured I would try a New Mexican lunch today, and this place did not disappoint! I got the cali steak fries but I substituted the steak for shrimp. Everything was cooked to order so the drive thru takes a little while but the food is worth the wait .. it's prepared to order!
