While waiting an hour and a half to get a table at San Pedro I was happy to get seated in Del Este's covered patio on a rainy night while I waited for my friend. They had 2 of my favorite white wines on the list, great. Until the sweet new server nervously told me they were out of both of them and only had their house Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay available. Out of a lack of choices I ordered a Chardonnay and when I told the server it was so oaky it was undrinkable, she came back to say her manager wouldn't take it off the bill because there was "nothing wrong with it." Ok fine, I see his logic. What I will also say is that mentality as a manager to make a guest pay for something they were unhappy with due to a lack of managing inventory and limited selections, he lost a repeat customer and prompted a negative review. I was a server too for a long time. I know how wine pricing works. It would have cost nothing to help find a drink a guest actually wants. Putting profit over people always results in losing money. It's no wonder there were plenty of tables available there while San Pedro was on a 90 minute wait. I'd say there's a LOT of room for improvement in how it's run. Treat your guests and servers with respect and be generous with your offerings and problem solving. It always comes back ten fold. There's too many good places to eat in Hudson to come back here. read more

We made the 50 minute drive to Hudson just to try this place, and weren't disappointed. Although we probably wouldn't make the drive again just for pizza, it's good to know that there's good NY-style pizza when we're in that area. The place has a family-friendly tavern look to it, and there's an excellent outside covered patio area that was perfect on a Summer afternoon. The patio is decorated with NYC memorabilia and the soundtrack was old-school Sinatra and pals. We loved it. We started with a very nice Caprese salad, with flavorful Tomatoes and decent Mozzarella. Our pizza was have cheese and half Pepperoni. It looked more like a bar-style pizza with little to no edge crust, rather than typical NY style with enough edge crust to act as a "handle" of sorts. However, the dough was good, with minimal flop, and a nice char underneath. The cheese was good quality, as was the cupped Pepperoni. Service was excellent. Highly recommended if you're in the area. Please excuse the bad photo, I ate most of the pizza before I thought to take a picture. This is so good. The level of care from the crust to what tastes like homemade sausage and sauce is some of the best I've had anywhere. This is the best tapas place on earth. Period. We had booked another wedding rehearsal dinner party at another place and unfortunately the owner had medical issues and closed down the restaurant and we found out about that three weeks before the wedding. No one called us. So we were searching for a place that could accommodate the party with short notice and we found Pedro's del este. They just opened when we called and they were happy to accommodate us. We did some taste testing and booked the place. Their food is amazing, plenty to chose from and each dish is delicious. It is a long drive for us to visit but we have been visiting them on every wedding anniversary and we have been doing that for the past 5 years regardless of the weather conditions or day of the week. This restaurant holds a special place in our heart and the food never disappoints. We will always come back and we highly recommend the restaurant. read more

We have been twice since Pedro's recent opening and the food, cocktails and service were outstanding both times. I loved the herbal flavors in my Spanish gin & tonic (rosemary and grapefruit with Hendricks). The spicy margarita was packed with flavor and a kick with that Fresno chili purée! The 18" pizza is the way to go to get the full New York style experience with puffy crust edges and large foldable slices. My favorite is the tartufa and my husband's is the picante, so we went half and half (plenty for leftovers). We always split the Caesar because it's so good with those roasted tomatoes! They have a few tempting desserts (pistachio cheesecake and espresso gelato) but we were too full to indulge. There is both bright outdoor tented patio seating as well as the darker and cozy inside tables (and bar) and we have enjoyed the vibe in both spots. read more

The Lounge changed the menu to a Pizza based menu and me being the Pizza Fanatic I am was excited to see what it was all about, I found it to be a Great Surprise for a Pizza Place in town that offers Slices and Whole Pizza plus a few other options on the menu that are also Awesome! Make sure and Get the Meatballs! They might be small but you get enough to share for 2-3 people, and they have a Great Bar with an Amazing Bourbon and Tequila selection and what looks to be a good Drink Menu, I think you should try it out and I bet you will Love It read more

While the smaller sizes do not disappoint, it's in the larger size that the crust truly comes into its own, offering that perfect blend of crunch and chewiness. I was hosting a rehearsal dinner at the brewery a block away and stopped in to try their pizza to see if it was good enough to order for the event. WOW! The pizza was fantastic and the people working there were genuinely helpful, kind and just great to talk with. I spoke with my waitress, Hannah (who was lovely by the way) and she suggested I reach out to the owner for my rehearsal dinner needs. She even provided me with the contact information. Some people would just say email the owner, she did not. I reached out to the owner Laura, and she was lovely. I asked her if I could preorder 11 pizzas, pay for them and have them delivered. She wrote back a kind email offering everything I asked for and included heat lamps and warming bags. In the course of our conversations, she supplied me with an invoice and will work with the brewery to set things up prior to our arrival. Do not hesitate to eat here. Support people who go out of their way to make a customer's experience a great one. The pizza is fantastic and the people are genuine. I truly feel blessed to have come upon their restaurant and am so totally blown away by the service and food I received. read more

Wonderful authentic NY style pizza right here in the Twin Cities! Our teenagers had 14" pepperoni & devoured the whole pie. My husband and I shared the 14" half combo, half picante, both scrumptious! We love spicy food and the picante was on point. They kept their awesome cocktail menu & sticky wings on the menu! Server was new so needs a little more of experience. I toggled between a 3 and 4, but figured I won't be such an outlier here, and overall it was a slightly above average experience. The space, I echo the rest of the comments. It's the end of summer and perfectly crisp outside so my husband and I sat on their patio area. It's colorfully decorated with comfy patio furniture, fake candles, wood pergolas, a very relaxing atmosphere. The space definitely made for a perfect date night. I saw plenty of that around me, I'm convinced I saw a real life "90 Day Fiancé" date play out in front of me. It was like dinner and a show. It was about 8pm, I'm an early bird when it comes to dinner, so I was starving. Of course then I over ordered. We tried their special, not always on the menu, saffron buttermilk cauliflower, along with queso fundido, empanadas, sticky wings, papas bravas, and shrimp and crab tostados. Okay, so the bad. The empanadas were the worst I've ever had. The inside, I forgot what was in it, maybe chicken, but had the consistency of tuna. It needed a crunch element...well maybe a complete overhaul. The queso was super greasy and flavorless. Lastly, the tostada would have been good if it had more than two pieces of shrimp and it was only shrimp, the crab tasted like it came from a can. The good. The cauliflower was the best dish of the night. It was crispy, light, the lemon rinds added a burst of citrus. I loved this dish, if it were a permanent item on their menu I would then say this place is a must for a return trip. The papas bravas, which were Yukon potatoes, the sauce made the dish. It was creamy and tangy, perfect combination with the fried potatoes. Finally, the sticky wings, these were my jam. Wonderfully hot, crunchy, juicy, gooey, sweet and sour. My husband wasn't sold on these, said it tastes like too much fish sauce. Oh well, more for me. Service was not great. She was friendly enough, but was super slow to our table. We watched her go to her three tables around us each time and not stop to take our order or bring our check as requested. The other servers we saw looked on top of their game though, so maybe we just got a dud. Drink menu looked interesting, I forgot what we ordered. It came in cute glasses, but perhaps we need to return to try some others. read more

Every town needs a hideaway spot with great drinks and atmosphere. Pedro's is behind San Pedro's in downtown Hudson and has a totally different vibe. Cozy, pub like with excellent drinks and friendly staff. In the warmer months, there's an outside room and seems to be busy all the time with parties. Wow - incredible flavors! Next up on my eating tour of Hudson restaurants is Pedro's. A few things surprised me: First, I was surprised by the flavors and the quality of the food. Everything we ate was fantastic. Second, I was surprised by the prices. I thought they were very reasonable. Third, I was surprised by the dark, sultry, candle lit vibe of Pedro's. It would be a great spot for a romantic evening. Fourth and finally, the service was excellent. This place, a "lounge", is a little fancy and hoity-toity and hipster-ish for my tastes so I don't think I'll become a regular customer. But I think they're very good at what they do. One word: incredible. The food was so good -- every single thing we ordered. We had chips & salsa, Argentinian empanadas, sticky wings, and the pineapple upside down cake. We came during social hour and it was actually very well priced, we didn't have a wait, the atmosphere is great. Love the dim lighting, curtains between tables, and jazzy music. I love this place. Nothing has been the same, or as good, since the Young Chef departed al most a year ago. The fried cauliflower was the hit on the menu, and it was taken off shortly after the Young Male Chef left. So disappointing the churros were taken off as well, and replaced with the churros cronut holes. bummer. Never mess with something so good or it will disappoint. read more

We have always loved the ambiance of this restaurant, and we were so excited to try the new menu. We started our meal with the mushroom appetizer and chopped salad. Both were delicious and we were impressed with the quality of the ingredients in the salad. Then we had the three meat pizza and the pesto pizza. We both loved the sauce and the crust, not to mention the toasted pine nuts that topped the pesto pizza. Make sure and finish your meal with the pistachio cheesecake (or take one to go). The best place for cocktails in Hudson! I've been to Pedro's del Este many times and I've never been disappointed with the food or the service. The ambiance both inside and on the patio is great. They even make Covid barriers look good. Highly recommend the Sticky Wings, Papas Bravas, and the Chickpeas! Also, their mezcal drinks are delicious. My family loves this place! We live in Stillwater and love many of our local joints but Pedro's gets us over the river pretty frequently. Great cocktails. LIFE CHANGING wings. Really awesome everything else. Tried brunch this past weekend for the first time, I'm not a huge brunch person but they won me over with $5 aperol spritzes and a fabulous lobster scramble. Pedro is my friend. Let me introduce you. First, the complimentary fried chickpeas. You want them. Bite-sized bites of nature at its finest. They give you a small sampling, perfect for two people. If you have more than two, well, get prepared to order more. Second, the drinks. Smoky mezcals, island rums, pairings and mashings of exotic fruits. I warn you ahead of time, if you get one cocktail, you will want to get two. Go ahead, they are all delicious and totally worth it. Third, portions of deliciousness that won't make you feel overwhelmed. Get a selection of different items to share, because everything is amazing, and you'll want to come back just to try the rest. I would recommend getting the rotating tacos semanal, since those change every week, go for the ceviche for something tasty and light, and the empanadas for something a little more filling. But seriously, you can't go wrong with whatever you order. Between two people, 4-5 different things to share will be plenty. I'll be back soon to see my friend Pedro. Definitely a more upscale dining option, but it would be nice if they opened for lunch as well sometime in the future. read more
