I've used Peer's Moving 9 times over 30 years, during the moving to larger homes because of a growing family phase of life then the downsizing (kids are all out on their own) phase. While the past 5-6 years have brought about more moves than I would have liked, Peer's has always been rock solid. They show up on time for the estimates and the moves, do the work well and the final cost is never a surprise. Their people are terrific. Out of 9 moves, I got competing quotes 3 times. In each case, Peer's was equal to, or even slightly higher, than their competitors' quotes. But to me, they're a known performer, so why would I go elsewhere? My last move resulted in the first damage out of 9 moves. One of my TVs was damaged. A member of the Peer's crew pointed it out before putting the TV on the truck instead of me discovering it later. I get it - things happen. Tim's solution was to ask me to check online what a replacement costs at Best Buy while they were unloading and it was fixed right then and there. Done. No argument. Couldn't ask for more. I've never been less than totally satisfied with Tim, Sheila, Debbie and their crews. You won't be either. read more

The folks at Peers Moving Co are very easy to do business with. It took us almost a year to find our new home and Peers moved our belongings into storage, looked after them for a year, and then repacked the trucks and moved everything to our new home across state lines. Everything went very well and the service was first class. From small things like having the same friendly contacts answer the phone quickly every time I called; to important considerations like the care the teams take in wrapping and packing some treasured items we did not box ourselves and carefully handling all of our furniture... all was professional. I am fussy about customer service excellence and moving is a 'high touch' service business, but Peers builds trust from day one and makes the whole experience far less stressful than other national companies we have used in the past. We couldn't be happier. Moved from large home in NJ to smaller NJ apartment and another home in Delaware. Our schedule was complicated by home sale logistics; Peers worked with us to accommodate our needs even though it was their busy season. Sheila and Tim were a delight to work with on the phone and in person. The estimate was spot on; the crew arrived on schedule to pack, then loaded our stuff, stopped at the apartment to deliver there, then continued to Delaware for the rest of the move. The guys knew what they were doing and worked quickly and efficiently. They were cheerful and flexible in meeting our changing needs. The price was very reasonable, and we were pleasantly surprised when Peers (on its own initiative!) discovered a mistake on our bill that we hadn't noticed and sent us a refund. From the estimate to the actual move, everything was professional and seamless. Tony came to access the move and recommended the right size storage unit. Jimmy was the lead mover on move day. Recently, we had a rather complicated move, with storage units in THREE different places. They made the stress of coordinating a move of this magnitude seem easy! Not only are the movers sweet and accommodating, but they truly care about your house. They made sure to put blankets down on my foyer to protect the marble, and whenever there was a big heavy piece, they made sure to have several men spot the people carrying the furniture to ensure they weren't hitting any of my walls or banisters. I have used Peers twice now to move apartments in NYC and can not recommend them highly enough. Their movers are patient, kind, and damn efficient! We had a box spring and couch that I did not think would fit up the stairs and with their magic they made it fit! They even came prepared with all the right equipments to take apart out table and some chairs so that they fit property. In between apartments I kept some stuff in storage and that process was smooth as well. The owner is organized, responsive and trustworthy. We used Peer's to move our belongings from our home into storage. Tim's estimate was similar to the other 2 quotes and was the lowest of the 3 quotes we received. They expertly wrapped some pictures and mirrors and carefully moved all our belongings out of our 3 story house and into storage. They took great care in protecting our belongings, walls and floors.
