I love this Peet's! I go to this one and the one in Livermore, but mostly this one. I tend to go twice a day. The employees are all so sweet and positive. I often let them choose my drinks for me and they never fail to give me the most amazing drink suggestions. The atmosphere is calm, and the energy is good. They also get my drinks out in a reasonable time frame, even when they are busy. read more

Love the people that work here. They're always nice and extremely helpful. I've been going to Sbux, and came here because I got gift cards. There was a time when I looked forward to coming down to this Peet's, getting a coffee and enjoying it on patio.....the last few times in this Peet's on Railroad Ave. in Danville over the last four visits service has been very slow, garbage cans overflowing, litter all over the patio. They had six people working this morning at 8:30am, we ordered two simple lattes, took ten minutes with one order in front of me. When I picked up our coffees they turned out to be two Chai Lattes! Is anyone paying attention at this Peet's anymore? I will be getting my bagel and "coffee" at Noah's from now on. Very disappointing. read more

Twice they made an iced Americano instead of an iced latte. Another time my order was not even entered. I know mistakes happen and it's a busy store but the system needs to be fixed. I'm a huge fan of Peet's and really have really had a great experience in just about every one of their shops. The most recent Peet's excursion was at their shop in the heart of Downtown Danville. They have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Additionally, they are perfectly located just off the Iron Horse Trail and Danville's main street. The patrons at Peet's are generally very friendly and are usually there to enjoy the day and converse with friends. The associates working at the Danville Peet's are very friendly and helpful. The shop is kept very tidy but also comfy. The coffee is splendiferous. They were serving the old standard Colombian blend on the day that we visited. However, they also offer the fair trade, blue batak, major dickenson, and other signature blends that Peet's has become famous for. I'd highly recommend visiting all Peet's coffee shops - but the Danville shop is definitely a stand out. read more

I came here just before Christmas Eve 13' after work. I arrived here hoping it was open and it was. I was greeted very nicely by the staff. Devon (spelling) who commanded the cashier recommend the caramel sea salt mocha. After going back and forth if it was too sweet or not, he recommended I get half the pumps of chocolate and the other sweetener. The drink came out PERFECT. I highly recommend to those who drink regular black or lightly creamed coffee to every once in awhile indulge in a sweet beverage; just ask for half the sweetness/additives. TRUST ME. Devon also wished me a merry Christmas and sent me along my way with some other coffee insight. It was obvious he knew a lot about his company and good Coffee. This Peet's location is great because it is off of the Iron Horse Trail and serves as the main pit stop for many bikers. There are plenty of tables set up outside and it's quite dog friendly as well. If you are interested in seeing middle-aged men wearing Spandex biking outfits and riding $5,000 bikes this is the place. I've never seen any more of them in my whole life, I thought it was the AARP bike ride for cash. That's it, it was very crowded and there was very few places to sit. I have a chai tea, it was okay but it was extremely hot and took a while cool down. After that the flavor was pretty good but nothing that I couldn't have bought at the grocery store for much less. Everyone else seemed to be happy with their drinks. There's a private parking lot if you can find parking, and the Iron Horse bike trail goes right through here. That's probably why there were so many bicycles. I never thought I'd see so many bicycles in one place that cost as much as my pickup truck does. read more

My favorite place to go to for coffee here in town. Service is consistently wonderful, ambiance is relaxing and welcoming, and the staff....AWESOME. I love coming in and seeing familiar faces behind the counter...and DEVIN...he's the man. He has impeccable memory with names and is always very polite, enthusiastic, and you can tell he enjoys being here and always has a smile on his face. I am addicted to Peet's and have been for years. I love Peets so much that if any one were to say "then why don't you marry it", I would say pick a date and I would. This location is just "okay". It is convenient to home. It is a place to get beans ground at #5 in half pound bags where they don't roll their eyes. It is a place that is too small for the crowd (even for the remodel), with folks that aren't terribly friendly. Those that are friendly are fairly young and work in the PM. I can't help it. I'm just not a Peet's fan. I have never gotten great service at the few I've been too, and really hesitate to stop unless I really am hurting for caffeine. There wasn't a Starbucks nearby, so I had no choice but to stop here. Staff in here was very nice but don't really pay much attention. I got a large Carmel Macchiato for the road as I was heading back to Sac and needed the caffeine boost. I also asked for two peanut butter cookies. My drink was made quickly, but the whipped cream on top was more watery than whipped. When I asked the girl about it, I just got a blank stare. The flavor was only 'ok' and really was disappointing. I received only one cookie and when I asked the guy who took my order said, 'Oh, I thought it was one'. This is after we had talked about the cookies and I mentioned my long drive and thought two would be a nice snack to get me home through commute traffic. We determined I had only been charged for one, and as I was anxious to get on the road, just went with it and went out to my car. I'm sorry. I really want to like Peet's but I just can't. read more

Now that the planned demise of Boulange is in effect, this Peets has something of a Monopoly for this shopping center and I wish I could convince my cycling friends to stop somewhere else on rides, but alas, I still get stuck going here sometimes. I just don't know where they find such slow employees. It can easily take 3+ minutes per customer interaction. Often a SINGLE drink order taking register is open w a line, along w a no line beans ordering register which... always has that cashier chatting it up w a customer for sport effectively rendering the line useless. Today I ordered a single pastry and a small coffee, thinking that would be efficient. I watched my barista feebly fumble for a pastry in the feminist bookstore style ala Portlandia. Literally, I do not think he could have done it any slower. I asked twice as ordering for NO LID on my coffee. He tried to cap my anyways, after which I told him twice more no lid to stop him from doing it, he pours more coffee in, brimfull, then tried to put a lid on it during which I told him 7 more times, no lid. Thats 11 times I told him no lid. Are you kidding me? Then, I go to fill up my water bottles. I have tried filling my bottles here about a dozen times in the past few years. There is NEVER ANY WATER INSIDE THE WATER COOLER to fill bottles. This time no exception. Peet's get it together! I just don't understand what I can so consistently be underwhelmed by your disastrously slow and incompetent service. Wonderful cafe. One can tell it's a favorite of the locals - always a good sign. Cindi told me all of their beans are dark roasted, which set off alarm bells in my head - I've grown to love medium roasted beans - but the half-caf, half-decaf Americano I am drinking doesn't have the smokey flavor I find in many dark roasted blends. The coffee and service are somewhat skewed by the insensitivity of the actual shop operation. One cannot carry out a conversation when the people in the shop start moving around carts with trash and other cart with recycling. For God's sake hasn't anybody ever mentioned to you or your employees how loud they are. For a period of twenty minutes we even exited Peet's and sat outside. It seemed like they followed us. The girl took a garbage cart outside and started towards the dumpster. My gosh, we could not hear each other due to this freaking noise. For probably $20 more, you could get a decent cart with larger rubber wheels that does not disturb your clients. So insensitive! That's what destroys atmosphere and a good time. I have not seen this stupidity in any other Peet's though. It is just this location with maybe too young of a crowd to really care!! Not sure...but please listen... read more

Hands down this is the best Peet's my husband and I have been to. I wish whoever trains the employees to make the coffee can go to surrounding Peet's and train them too. It is night and day difference in taste. After coming to this Peet's I thought I almost received the wrong drink but no Almond latte it was right! It was so creamy and didn't have the burnt coffee taste, this is what a almond latte is suppose to taste like. The employees are always so friendly even when they are swamped and behind a counter wearing masks. I can imagine it can get overwhelming when your swamped, have to wear a mask and still have to follow all covid safety measures. These guys seriously are so good. They also have lots of seating outside. My husband and I go at least a couple times a week now. The egg white frittata is also super good! So glad I finally found our favorite coffee place. read more

Had a client meeting at this Peet's this morning. Slight drizzle outside upon arrival. Every table inside taken. Bathroom was clean, and there was no line. Points for that. Staff was friendly, and there was no line. Points for that. Coffee was fast, and steaming hot. I expect that. Coffee was...insanely bitter? What? I thought you and I had moved past this, Peet's. I thought we'd come to the agreement that "strong" does not have to equate to bitter, overpowering coffee. Had to meet outside, on a bench, that eventually got rained on. Thankfully the jogger-stroller moms on the covered bench went for their run on the Iron Horse trail, so we could sit on a dry space. Sigh. Such an average experience. read more

I like Peet's and came into this location to pick up some ground coffee. It was a Sunday afternoon and there were only two people at the shop. There wasn't a wait when I arrived, but while I was waiting for my coffee to be ground, I noticed a long line forming. The young man making drinks and the cashier were the only ones running the shop. The service could've been better. The young man apologized for the wait, but I think they can improve their labor model because this is a hot spot in Danville. read more

April 2010 Bike out there from Berkeley on a Sunday with 5 beautiful women and two other lucky guys and it's 100% 5 stars. Wait, don't get me wrong, it's just the same as any Peet's anywhere, but there are so many cyclists (watch your bike!), and the staff are friendly (the gal - we're far enough from Berkeley to say gal, right? - had the chutzpah to offer to get me more simple syrup then chastise me for using it all!), and the bike parking spots are plentiful as well as the shady resting spots, which make it a perfect stop on a weekend ride, or probably anytime. Ice coffee in my empty water bottle, a little bit of food for the return trip and a chance to actually say hello to the riders I'd been chasing since Moraga. I've always preferred Peet's over Starbucks and have always made the extra effort to find one when in the mood for coffee. While I've never really been into the idea of doing everything at a coffee shop, there was one point where I was studying for a month straight for a big test but wasn't in school. I can't really study well at home so I started going to Peet's because it took me to a neutral setting and facilitated my ability to study. The place is pretty busy all the time with lots of business people coming in, regular people, and a significant number of bicyclists all decked out in bicycle gear (something I found rather amusing that you bike 2 mile then get a freddo with whipped cream). Despite the business of the shop, it's always kept clean and orderly. The baristas are hospitable and friendly, and it even got to the point where they knew my name. There's seating outside and there's always a comfortable, cozy feeling inside. If you're close and/or can make the drive, I'd recommend this place for your coffee shop needs. read more
