I went in to get a drip coffee. There was only one person in line and probably 6 people behind the counter. The woman in front of me explained she had ordered an iced latte and instead she she got a vanilla latte. The girl said, "Just a minute and had to ask someone else about it. Then that person had to consult with someone else. Finally, someone asked her, "Do you want us to remake it?" Are you joking? Why else would she come back? Then it was my turn. I asked for a small drip coffee because I was in a hurry. She said all of the coffee (3 brewers) were out and it would be 5 minutes. This place has six people working behind counter and all three brewed coffee were out? Very unorganized and terrible customer service. read more

I went into this location with my sister. There was one person ordering, and a few others waiting for their orders. I have never been to a Peet's Coffee so we walked up close to the counter to see their menu. We were asked if we were ready to order, I said I was reading the menu. The very rude counter person said then you can't stand there. Now, I am of a certain age and was unable to read the menu from where she wanted me to stand. There were still no other customers waiting so it should not have been an issue. I do appreciate all the safety measures, but they must also remember customer service. I got my order and left. I'm not a huge fan of Peet's coffee, but I sure love the Mango Sunrise iced tea lemonade - it's sooo refreshing and not overly sweet! The staff at this location is incredibly friendly and helpful, as they made an extra effort to ensure my drink was made to my liking. There's also plenty of tables here, so it's easy to get work done if you need to... and the location can't be beat, as The Point has so many cool shops, awesome restaurants, and a great ocean breeze! read more

At this location you had a lot of people using Lab Tops taking up space and not doing much else . Wanted to sit down and enjoy our Coffee but could not do so , due to Lab Tops and papers all over each table. I don't know if it's like this all the time , but I would hope not . read more

I came here before meeting with a friend for lunch, looking to pass the time by doing a little blog writing while sipping an iced coffee. No line, plenty of seating, the space was inviting. I ordered a large iced coffee with a pump of pumpkin. They filled it to the brim, and stupid me didn't think to dump some out before putting the cap on - I brought the cup to my thirsty pie hole and spilled the little bit that leaked out after punching my straw in. Fail. I didn't order any food so I can't review any of that, but there was a nice selection of pastries and other goodies. Small menu for the fall featured items. Wifi was easy to log onto, but it definitely needs a boost in speed. The signal wasn't very strong. When I went to save my post, the connection was lost (greaaaaaat) so I had to click the "go back" button (luckily it was there, it's a 50/50 shot if this brings you to a blank page or the page you were just on, with a limited connectivity) and copy/paste it all into word. I was irritated I couldn't continue to do my research and writing but good thing it was close to my lunch meetup time anyway. Overall pleasant, wifi maybe could use a turbo boost, given there were not more than 3 people on the wifi while I was there. read more

When I cheat on Starbucks, this is my spot. Great space to get a cup of joe and do some work. Plenty of seating and long flat tables to spread out all that paperwork. Wifi connection has been pretty reliable, it's only been snail pace slow once and I had to go down the hill to Sbucks. Other than that, the connection has been steady and fast. I'm always happy to stop by a Peet's coffee when I actually find one, curse Starbucks for being at every single damn corner! (JK I got love for Starbs just not as much now that I've found true ~espresso~ drinks lol). I usually stick to an iced coffee or the iced caramel macchiato but the new fall drink menu got me! I'm a sucker for anything that has cardamon so I ended up trying the iced vanilla cardamon latte with almond milk. SO MUCH YASSS!!! It was honestly so freaking good. I'm still thinking about it after 1 week, trying to find time in my schedule and work route to make a stop at a peet's coffee shop to pick up another one. I have to agree with some of the other reviews though that the drinks (ordered 3 in total) took a long time to come out, considering the place wasn't all that busy. So as we all know, their drinks are better than Starbucks (nothing against Starbucks, Peets just has a better quality in my opinion) but the service at THIS Peets trumps any other Peets Coffee and Tea, better yet, any other coffee shop. Coming from NorCal, Peet's has always been my go-to place for good coffee. But they're kind of harder to find around LA, which is why I extra appreciate this location not only because I can get a nice cup of Major Dickason's but also because 1. free parking, 2. decent seating area, 3. free parking. Plus, it's located in a great shopping complex, so if you're tired of sitting around at a coffee shop all day, you can peruse a few stores, walk around, or grab a bite to eat at the other places in The Point. This location is definitely a steal for a place to study, read, or just to catch up with old friends. And they have enough outlets! read more

Every staff member I've encountered at this location has been nothing but super welcoming and sweet! I have the piece a through and through hair in it Tried taking a photo but can't see it because it's a light color hair. I then called the store ( El Segundo , Ca)and I was just starting to explain to the manager on duty 4/24/18 7:30am, Michelle And she could not hear me so asked me to call right back. The staff here is consistently amazing. Friendly but not over the top. They never say "we're out of that right now." So, I don't feel guilty about ordering decaf coffee at 2:00 in the afternoon. If I try and pull that anywhere else it's always (if I'm lucky) "we can do a pour over for you instead...?" And that's fine I guess but not really. Peet's coffee is delicious to begin with but served up fresh with a genuine "Thank you" makes me feel appreciated as a customer. It's like, They literally brewed an entire pot of coffee just for me. I have never gotten any names but some baristas are so friendly and helpful but I have had multiple negative experiences with one who seems to be the manager. I really like this Peet's. I always get an Iced Coconut Creme latte (not on the menu but it's strong with the perfect amount of sweetness, so it's my go-to). I come to study and typically can find a seat without issue, though there aren't a ton of chairs so I could see how it might not be the best study spot for people who are big fans of personal space. A lot of people come after shopping or sweating out their toxins or whatever at SoulCycle, so there's a decent amount of foot traffic. I've never had any pastries but I have had the plain bagel with cream cheese, and I would definitely not recommend it. It's a pretty sad bagel. But the coffee slays the game so I guess you can't have it all. Don't forget to download the Peet's app to get points toward a free drink!
