I was getting coffee most of Friday nights but today there was old lady who was cleaning the floor, the counter and the matt on the FLOOR even without wearing gloves.. bagging the trash and touching trash cans.. She then in the middle of her cleaning.. she took my order.. i thought she was gonna wash hands first to make my coffee but she DID NOT WASH HANDS! She started making coffee and I was freaking out after I saw dirts on her finger tips from touching the floor matt! I had to tell the other lady about it and i asked her to make my coffee instead. Spacious. On a Monday afternoon, I was able to find seating at a table with an outlet nearby without any problems, and there was another table next to me still open. Comfortable. The tables are slightly bigger than the ones you may have to settle for at Starbucks. All seats did not induce my legs to fall asleep after hours of studying. The music level and choice is perfect for studying, reading, or having a conversation. Tasty + Fresh. Drinks at Peet's are generally more flavorful and fresh than drinks at CBTL or Starbucks. Bonuses: Free, fast Wi-Fi with no time limit. Easy and plentiful parking. Check-in Offer got me a dollar off of a pumpkin freddo, which was literally and figuratively, sweet. Only gripe? Whoa! I came here at around 9 PM to use a buy-one-get-one-free coupon and the place was packed both inside AND outside! I was shocked at how crowded it was, even at 9 PM. I ordered the blended matcha green tea, and my boyfriend got the white chocolate mocha. He enjoyed his drink, as it wasn't too sweet and had the right amount of coffee. The matcha green tea was delicious, but when I got halfway through with the drink, I wasn't able to really drink it anymore. It was too icy that when I removed my straw, it left a hole from where the straw was. So, I had to wait for the drink to melt, or had to sort of stab everything with the straw so I could continue drinking. We also got the lemon poppy seed and carrot cake. Both were delicious! I liked the lemon poppy seed cake better, personal preference. I felt like the carrot cake had too much cinnamon in it. It also had raisins which I'm not a fan of :/ At Peet's you've gotta put the lid on yourself. In a way, I guess this is sort of going green. If you don't want a lid, then you're not throwing away as much trash. I like this idea actually. There is a large selection of coffee beans here if you want to buy some beans and grind them up yourself. Just another Peet's Coffee shop. I don't know if it's just me but I feel there's a lot of smokers that chill right outside this store, so I never feel inclined to enjoy my coffee outside. Also, there's some mad MAGIC card fights/duels/competitions going on here. Like grown men & women who are just being so intense in the game. They got like a playing board and everything. You can get your coffee and your cards entertainment. I saw their promo for $1 any coconut latte, so I took the promo and ordered a small latte. I'm pretty sure I said small latte but when the barista told me the price after she took my cash, I caught on that she accidentally took an order for a large latte, and that the transaction was too late. She made it up by giving me their "free any drink, any size" for the next visit cards, so I pretty much got my drink for free. Nothing out of this world in this location. read more

Sometimes I work from home so when mobile ordering became available, I was happy (order ready upon arrival and return back to work quickly). Drinks are always on time, even with my many specific requests, they come out good. The cashier and the barista were both sweet and knowledgeable. I feel that since Pete's is not as overcrowded as Starbucks throughout the day, the service is more customer-friendly. The cashier was really attentive and allowed me to take my time to decide which tea i wanted. Had the Jasmine Green Tea, which is excellent. Price is based on the # of tea bags and not the cup size. I used to love the Peet's in Tustin on Newport and Irvine Blvd. This one is lousy. I had an iced latte that was simply terrible. I should've returned it. The espresso was all wrong. I feel like the barista service has gone downhill in the past few weeks. Where is Lucky and that cool girl with all the ink? Today, this dude spilled coffee all over and gave me the cup, still dripping with sludge outside the cup and java jacket. Yeah, that's not acceptable. Yesterday, the lone barista up front wore a homicidal look. She didn't talk to anyone, including her coworker in the back that she grabbed to help with the line. That's my pre-coffee job, lady, not yours! And just in general, I feel like a bit of the coolness/friendliness that was once here has fallen by the wayside. However, there are often smokers that lounge around the front that force me to scurry past them to protect my precious alveoli. The customer service, the ambiance, and even the customers who come here are all so nice! I became a regular here and the employees took the time to get to know me. Whenever I walk in, they greet me by my first name, and they do this to several other customers too! They're all very bubbly and sweet all the time. There are also lots of chairs and tables inside and outside, making it a great place to either study (there are outlets inside too), or catch up with friends. If your by yourself and there's one chair available at a table, the customers who are also there doing homework or work happily let you sit next to them since they know this is a great place to do work! They have a lot of different options when it comes to coffee and teas. Their tea selection is especially great! They have a lot of different unique flavors to choose from, and the employees are helpful with recommending which ones to get too depending on your cravings. I'm lucky enough to have this Peet's be across the street from where I live. Coffee is coffee, but every time I've been to this Pete's I've been met with excellent customer service. The people here are always friendly, fun, chill, talkative, or just generally make your experience there a good one. One time, a girl messed up my coffee and it tasted nasty. So I asked if I could get a new one. My coffee was exchanged and I got a coupon for a free one. I didn't use it forever and it expired, but they gave it to me anyway. Small details, maybe, but I've seen enough places not take those extra little steps to make their customers happy that I appreciate it when I see it. I recommend this to my friends when they're in the area and I recommend it to any other locals who love good coffee and cool people. Escape the 90 degree summer weather by going to Peet's because their A/C is always blasting that you're going to need a jacket, no matter how hot it is outside! I love coming here to study because I can usually find a spot either on those squishy couches or a wooden chair when I can't seem to concentrate at home. It's far enough from UCI so it's not crowded with students, and what's even better is that they play classical music at a volume thats good for some nice background music. The coffee has never disappointed, and the fact that you can $1 off an iced beverage if you check in this summer $1 off pastries after 5 pm, is awesome because you're saving TWO WHOLE DOLLARS, which is a lot for a poor post-grad college student like me. Plus, you save on your electricity bill by using their A/C. And their bathroom. Might as well bring some napkins home while you're there. read more

The new Peet's coffee is semi-reminiscent of Diedrich. The layout and design is exactly the same, with the exception of different furinture. Coffee loungers will miss the LCD ticker screens of Diedrich. However, thankfully their coffee has no hint of the prior tenant. I've been coming here the past week at 5:45AM for a morning cup of joe's and love it. It's been difficult to find consistency among most coffee shops, yet the peet's I've been too have all been great. Here is a hint of my taste buds: My order is a simple cup of coffee (tall), to which I add a couple table spoons of half-half (you can shoot me for this), and a couple table spoons of plain sugar. I'm obviously not a coinnoisseur of coffee bean's nor brew my own joe but I am a coffee fiend and know what I like...and I like peet's coffee for it's flavor and it's caffine punch! read more

There's old men playing chess, business women/men doing their business paperwork, and students studying. If you put those three together, it's definitely a jumbo to handle. Peet's coffee has never done me wrong! Except of course for variations in the branches, but this branch has never disappointed! They've made really good Raspberry Mocha's and Caramel Latte's here. My favorite thing about Peet's, though, is their loose leaf tea selection, which is always so much better than tea from tea bags. I love all their teas and love getting a hot cup of loose leaf tea. read more
