I came in looking for some Warmachine stuff and found their selection to be great. The pricing however was not competitive to other stores and online retailers. They also do not have a place to play. First thing to get out of the way here is that this place is actually pretty cool. they have a wide range of products, from model kits, to trains, to rc helicopters, to minis, and dice. I was here for minis and dice. The bad news...the person working the miniatures and dice counter was absolutely awful. He spent almost the entire 45 minutes i was shopping with my group of seven others spouting off ridiculous politically charged, borderline racist comments. we are here to buy toys, dude, not to listen to your politics. He made multiple off color comments about hispanic people, as i watched my two hispanic frienda become increasingly uncomfortable behind him. my african american friend was so offended that she left the store immediately. this guy was such a tool that i cant ever fathom returning to this place. just an awful person. read more

Much better employees these days and seems like a lot of organizing and sorting has been going on, with a lot of interesting collector's items showing up -Price can be a little high on some of the collector items, but then again, you can't beat the selection of the store. We just had my sons 9th birthday there. "Such a unique birthday party to have here"- that was the comment I got from the parents, the boys and fathers enjoyed themselves & these employees were so helpful, the men that helped with the cars, one was a mechanic & the other was his back up knew how to get those borrowed RCcars up and going in just minutes, if there was a problem with them. My only complaint was that the pizza was 30 min late luckily I brought more food, because these party people were hungry. But because Pegasus employees were helpful it outweighed the late pizza, besides it wasn't their fault. 5 For them. Thanks for your services Pegasus! read more

This place is a nightmare. The only good customer service is when you're leaving the store and checking out. Unless you want your RC car screwed up and not even close to running/tuned, don't give them your business. They have no patience, arrogant, and obviously hate their job. This is currently the largest hobby store in California, by floor space and by volume of products in stock. This is from someone who visited all of the major hobby stores from Nor-Cal to So-Cal. The only other hobby store of this size was San Antonio Hobby Store of Mountain View, CA. Unfortunately, that store is now long gone. I am very impressed by Pegasus Hobbies. Walking into the shop, I am very impressed by the very comprehensive stock of plastic kits, toys and R/C parts. Focusing on plastic kits alone, you can expect to find kits of almost every make and scale available. The collection is very comprehensive. One can also find the in-house Pegasus kits. Also well stocked are the pre-built models, die cast cars and various painted figurines. One must also remember that Pegasus make their own kits and these are very prominently displayed in the store. This store is definitely worth the 30 to 40 minutes drive from Orange County. Countless hours can be spent gawking at all the items, just plan to have a significant portion of your pocket money well-spent on goodies on your way out! read more

If you're looking for Dungeons and Dragons minis, this is the place to go! They have a GIANT selection of minis from Warhammer to pathfinder to generic minis. They also have some fantastic terrain props. I've come here 3 times since I first found it and I plan to come back for more. The guys in the back by the minis are really nice, knowledgeable, and funny. The man that usually helps me is pretty amazing because I can describe what I'm looking for and he easily picks out a handful of minis for me to look at. read more

I usually only post positive reviews, however this time must stray from that. I build and fly drones and live relatively close to Pegasus. I've bought from in the past, usually when I need something right, because if you've done your homework you'll find Pegasus prices a bit on the steep side. This time I was in need of an fpv camera for a new build which I was excited about and didn't want to wait for an online order. The camera I picked up resembled what most fpvers are familiar with, a Sony CCD hs1177. The camera they had looks identical to the hs1177, however I noticed its packaging was a bit different as well as some it's specs, I overlooked that assuming it had a Sony sensor. I installed it a week later as work always interferes with fun stuff only to discover the image quality of the camera was CRAP!!!! Especially when transitioning from light to dark or the reverse. My belief is that it's a cheap clone. I called Pegasus to check on their return policy only to find out (and it's on the receipt) that there's is no return on electronics. So, I have a fpv camera that sucks really bad...and I spent twice of what I would have if I'd waited. BEWARE IF YOUR BUYING ELECTRONIC PARTS FROM HERE, YOU WONT GET YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY BACK!!! While it's fun to shop and browse here, the staff is not very friendly. Being closed on Monday is just plain stupid. Whenever I visit SoCal from Seattle, I like to visit and shop at Pegasus and was hoping to make 1 more stop before heading north, but they were closed. Too many recent high school graduates (or current high school) kids employed in the RC car and planes dept's who just can't wait to make you feel like they know sooo much more than you about the RC world, but really have no dedication to customer service or professionalism, as I saw one of them eating his Snickers bar as he spoke to me about RC planes and another employee in the RC car section jumping over the glass counter (maybe in the olympic mode?). The self-righteous RC car god that helped me by retrieving a bag of 2mm screws that I needed, had an attitude like rock star being asked for his autograph by a whiny kid. What a joke. YOU WORK THE RC COUNTER AT A HOBBY SHOP!!! However, there is an exception to this... and he's in the hobby rocket dept. He's got long hair, a beard, and looks like he could smoke you under the table. I haven't met a more knowledgeable person on the hobby (or in the entire store for that matter) and who really is dedicated to customer service. Kudos to him. Yeah, if you need it they probably have it. Can you get it cheaper online? Yes. Would you rather trade bad customer service for the shipping time? Well, that's up to you. read more

Stopped by yesterday to have my sons drone checked due to a motor not working, and with in 5 min the staff had fixed the motor and the drone was flying around the store. He spent about an hour to help troubleshoot, test and ensure that we left with the exact parts we needed. We live quite a ways away and the drive is long but the knowledge, service and selection we receive makes it easily worth it. My last review was removed, which I guess that if they get them removed it makes them look better, but that's not reality, I visited pegasus 5 times and every time when I was at the race track out back, there were people smoking and drinking in open view and around children with a complete disregard for the track rules. I told one of the employees and she said OK she would take care of it and did nothing. This is not a place for kids. There are other places that you can take your kids that don't allow smoking and drinking that are local. read more

Bought items drove 20 miles back home notice no disco on receipt, drive back and only offered missing 10% which only covered gas driving back on 2nd trip. Asked why didn't get this normal discount was blamed on floor sales person who helped because did not remind checker, are normal or ongoing discount not built into sku or in a book? Asked for full refund. Even with full refund I am negative coming here in two trips at OC gas prices. read more

I love the RPG/modeling side of the store. They are all very helpful and easy to approach. 5 stars there, easy. The R/C side seems to have everything you need as long as your not into quads/drones. There you will find only the most expensive brands and even that is very limited. I've gone several times to find something quad related and have been horribly disappointed every time by the grumpy old man's obvious and immediate irritation at my asking for something that they will likely never have the foresight to carry. I hope he discovers the Internet in his lifetime. The rest of the R/C crew has been very easy to deal with. Even when they don't have what I'm asking for. read more
