Upon picking up my dog, I immediately noticed she was shaved completely.... obviously FAR from what I had asked for and I mentioned that I was not happy to which I was immediately dismissed and told "she was matted so we shaved her". My dog was not matted, never has been as I wash and brush her once a week... even then, shaving her was never discussed. When I started to talk to a manager I was immediately asked "was she matted" rather than a slight concern. The store is located in the cutest little town of Truckee amongst coffee shops, restaurants and souvenir stores. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with a nice warm welcome from the staff and even Bentley, the store mascot! From the moment I walked in I noticed just how packed this lil store is. From floor to ceiling packed with all of the cutest toys, treats, clothes, carriers and so much more! This was mid September and they had to cutest Halloween toy display. I walked around for at least 30 mins just looking and deciding on some goodies! Lilikoi and I ended up with a Halloween mini lamb chop, a purple rubber bone and a beanie! We have had across the board experiences with local groomers - from "Don't bring her back," to "must have strong medication." I liked the last groomer personally but Mia never looked as nice as I thought she could look. Her face hair was always left long and her eyes disappeared. Her tail was left ungroomed. Sally, of 'For pets Only', took her in, and must have quite a way with animals. Mia had only half of her medication and did great. Mia has never looked better! We have finally found our groomer!

I took my dogs to Petco for grooming for the first time today after Jocelyn's Foothills grooming…read morerefused to do business with me when I missed an appointment due to medical emergency after being a customer for 8 years. I really thought I couldn't be happy with a different person grooming my dogs. I was wrong. Rochelle at Petco understood my concerns and She cared about how I wanted my babies treated. My pom is very outgoing and adventurous but my chihuahua is a nervous nelly. We consulted throughly about the services provided and the grooming details that are important to me. She even called me during their grooming to ask if I wanted my poms tail thinned or not. When I arrived for pick up I saw my Pomeranian on Rochelle's grooming table as she meticulously trimmed his hind quarters. He was very happy and comfortable in the environment. My dogs are now beautifully groomed, they smell sweet and their coats are silky soft. The pom cut is perfection. I have found my new groomers and I don't think Petco will be rudely throwing away my business.
