Our favorite breakfast spot in Minnesota. Love everything about this place. Favorite food - Hamel Hash Browns.

Picturesque and authentic full of regulars. Service was excellent with servers friendly and good arrival prompt. I had plenty of questions about ingredients and staff was patient and had a great attitude. The pies looked tempting but are made with lard for anyone with a correlating dietary restriction.

Didn't know I was going to find my new favorite breakfast spot in a cute little unsuspecting building off the highway. The decor is so precious, farmhouse-esque with cute chickens and roosters everywhere. You can smell the quality of the food before you even get inside. There's front and back parking so plenty of space for everyone and a front and back entrance (back entrance has two steps in case of accessibility). We were greeted with a smile and told to sit wherever. Our server had the best breakfast recs and filled us in on all the menu favorites. She was so friendly and brought our food out so quickly. She kept my coffee hot and our water topped off. The stuffed French toast with sausage was 10/10, perfect balance of sweet and savory and the red potatoes had the best seasoning on them. My friend had the raspberry French toast with fresh strawberries and bananas on top. The French toast was crispy, light, and full of flavor with an added egg to make it a fritter style toast. Whatever raspberry drizzle they put on top is unreal, some of the best I've had and it nixed the need for syrup. The bacon was crispy and the blueberry wild rice sausage was an absolutely standout. I'd come back just for that blueberry sausage. It's local, fresh, juicy, and doesn't have the weird texture of ground meat. There were probably 20 blueberries in the sausage and the wild rice was a great texture addition. I can't recommend this place enough, absolutely will be back and it's worth every minute of the drive.

A very friendly place with lots of menu options. All of of the menu items sounded very tempting. The waitress was absolutely the best that I have ever had. I must have felt very hungry because I dove right in and forgot to photograph my plate. The only thing I can complain about is that I seem to have developed the ability to pick up on the taste of other foods in the oil that ends up being used to fry potatoes in. I'm not sure if that is because restaurants are being more frugal with their supplies or my taste buds have become more discriminating. Maybe I use less pepper Tabasco and ketchup now. The pie to go seemed a little pricey @ $25. My wife seemed to think they had a great reputation for their pies. I'm going to suggest you get your whole pies at Perkins both because they are a better value but also the taste much better. If you are going to try this place on a Sunday go early or be prepared to wait.

Solid 4* breakfast at Peg's Countryside Cafe. We split a Corned Beef Benedict and an order of Cinnamon Roll French Toast. The Benedict was probably 3* but the Cinnamon Roll French Toast was really good! Service was good and the experience was exactly what you would expect from an old school breakfast cafe on Highway 55!

Great hole in the wall brunch place. Friendly staff, good parking, great food. We keep dragging ourselves here for their chorizo skillet. Spicy and yummy!

For a small roadside Café, you can't beat the atmosphere and the customer service. Their food is average, but still enjoy the experience.

Tables that got sat after us already got their drinks before we even got to place our drink order. I normally don't mind slow service if the restaurant is busy, but it was not busy, our server just kept walking past us. The food was okay. We got an app (waffle fries) and I got a burger and my fiancé got the French dip. Overpriced for what it was - I was expecting something more. Only bottled/canned beer. The ambiance was not my favorite. The lights above the table were very bright and there was no decor so the place was echoey. There looked to be a counter that you could order food to go at, but not sure what that was all about. It was a confusing layout for what I thought was a sit down restaurant. Overall I was really looking forward to trying this local restaurant, but I don't need to go back.

Inside is simple, clean, and modern. The menu isn't big but it includes all of the staples that you would expect to find at a good Thai experience. We were sharing plates with little ones so we just ordered a mixture of food from the menu including pineapple fried rice, pad thai, pram ram long song, mango sticky rice and some cream cheese puffs. All of the dishes were flavorful, tasty and came in big portions for the price point. It was a wonderful meal to share with friends! We had so much food to eat and enjoy. The pram ram was excellent heated up the next day for a quick work lunch. I highly recommend this place for authentic and tasty Thai food.
