Ive about given up on Pei Wei. Stopped in to eat when we were in a hurry, which was a huge mistake. Even though the place was half empty, and we only had one small party in front of us, we waited well over 30 mins for our food, which was ridiculous. Everyone else seemed to have their food, but we still waited. We ended up being late for something we needed to be at because it took so long to get our food. This is my favorite Pei Wei location. The staff is always really nice and quick to help with anything you need. I also get better portions and higher quality food at this location than any other that I've been to. My favorite things here are the Hot and Sour Soup (really chunky and great quality) and the sesame chicken. I get the chicken steamed. The arrival of the lobster roll was ridiculous, soy packets were just thrown at us without ramkens being offered. How do u dip sushi into soy and Wasabi without a ramaken? Hadn't ordered from them in a long time because of past incompetence and crappy food. I had been ordering from Tian An Men Square across the street but they are closed on Monday. Logged into my Pei Wei account and tried to place the order online and it was not allowing online orders. Toss in the fact that they only had their crappy wonton soup and I decided to give up and go somewhere else. Also, the outside of the Pei Wei looks ridiculous and you would think it was closed based on the lighting and lack of cars. Overall - Disappointing. Out of a dozen visits both TO GO and dine in, I've had exactly two experiences I would say have met my expectations. While I enjoy the food for the most part, the inconsistency with both cooking and accuracy is distracting. To top it off, service isn't the best. Friendliness is hit or miss and no one seems to want to take accountability for...well anything. When ordering online it is safe to except to wait 10-20 minutes after the promised time for your food. There is then however the concern if your order is the right one. If you choose this location, I suggest double checking your order. This is the second time at the Pei Wei on McDermott in Allen and it was great! We had the chicken lettuce wraps and the chicken House Special with extra spice that included 2 egg rolls and a drink. Usually Chinese egg rolls are thick with small amounts of protein. These egg rolls were crispy, hot and had a lot of chicken and pork. The restaurant was clean, food was hot, service was quick and even with a smile. The cashier/waitress, Briana, was so patient in explaining the lunch specials. Kudos to the chef and support staff! This is the worst experience I've ever had with PeiWei, period. They not only made my order late for an hour. But towards the end of 50 minutes they realize my order was never made even though more than a dozen customers who ordered online after I did received their orders. When I got my order, the dan dan noodle was mushy and they failed to give me the extra side of vegetables ( that I paid for), extra Kung Pao sauce, extra dan dan sauce that were listed and ordered on the receipt. Dozens of customers were waiting in the lobby for more than 40 minutes for their online orders and yet their staffs acted like they had no idea what to do with all these orders, while all the different boxes were sitting on the table and one of the pick up bags were put on the floor and being kicked around. I tried to be sympathetic with the fact that they had a busy evening with online orders. However, skipping my order and delivering wrong items plus an hour waiting made this entire experience not at all acceptable. I will be writing to your corporate office and discuss the chain failure of your management and staffs. Negative stars and the group of rude and unprofessional staffs who stood around and not knowing what to do (except the one that took initiative and constantly apologized to customers) from this evening needs to be FIRED AND REPLACED. Thanks a lot for your exceptionally bad service and the sub-par quality of Asian food served to your pissed Asian customer. I will make sure your failed management and chain of logistics be known by your corporate office and your customers. You guys should be ashamed to think that you can push around your customers anyway you want it. read more

If your trying to cut down on sodium and fat, you can have your protein steamed. If you like extra veggies or meat in your stir fry, just ask! My last visit on a Friday night, provided me with a tasty Honey Seared Shrimp. It was cooked well and delivered quickly. I ran into several family friends while I was there. They must enjoy the restaurant as well The soda serving area had a few issues. There was quite a bit of spilled soda and ice on the floor. The Coca-Cola machine was missing most of the additional flavorings to which I've grown accustomed. What the heck happened to this place? In May 2011, I gave Pei Wei 5 stars and raved about how perfect everything was. I'm guessing major change in management, but this place is going down hard and fast!!! Numerous dirty tables needed to be bussed when we arrived and there was nowhere to sit, so we pushed the trash aside and dined at a filthy table. Many tables stayed dirty and were never bused throughout our meal. And the bathroom? Used paper towels overflowing the trash can onto the floor. No lids for cups, no forks, sticky counters and floors with rice stuck to it- nobody even noticed. Our thoughts were that the manager left to take care of an emergency, so the hourly employees just let the place go. Customers searching for the 'least dirty' table, food runners occasionally circling around to find who ordered what, and more dirty dishes piling up in the dining area. Check out the photo of the table next to us, it never was bussed. So sad. Oh, the 2 stars? Well the food was still fresh and tasted great. I hope this old favorite of ours comes back around because we won't be rushing back anytime soon. read more

Horrible service... placed order on line, stated 16 min.... went to pick up, told to wait an additional 20 minutes "sorry we can't control when the tickets come out", wait 20 min, went back in to pick up... not only were we told it would be another 20 minutes but the girl at the register had a serious attitude when we told them to cancel the order. Their food isn't worth the hour wait and most certainly not the attitude. Fix your online app PeiWei to state real times for pick up and train your staff on customer service. I placed a takeout order this afternoon. I usually have a good experience yet my order was less than exceptable. The Pad Thai was dry, void of any flavor. The salad also was not made to order. When I picked up the order, the young lady was Pleasant Yet she and the young man behind t seemed to be having a private joke in another language, as they smiled in my direction. I noticed yet until I got home and we ate our take out order, did I wonder what ever did they find funny. My last several experiences at the Pei Wei in Allen have been disappointing. On placing a take out order, I made several attempts with no one answering the phone. When I got through, the young lady admitted she was overwhelmed and could not answer the phone. This review is for all Pei Wei. I got double charged, I called the restaurant right away and was told they would only make one order yet they couldn't refund me. I tried to call their corporate office and there is no number. I then used the contact us page and got no auto reply so I would know they got my message and after you send the message it says click send to send a message. This company is shady AF! I called the same store again and she is like I'd send a message to IT and you'll get a refund in 3 days. So warning, if you are double charged you could be out of 60 plus dollars for 3 days, cause the companies customer service sucks. Also, my sister and I ordered the same thing yet she had double the amount I had. Never ordering from Peiwei again if they don't know how to give a refund. I'm glad it wasn't our normal $90 order. read more
