Stopped in for my first time at the Pei Wei Asian Kitchen for a lunch break. I ordered the $14 dollar shrimp fried rice plate that was really very good. The service was great and it has a welcoming atmosphere.

I was so excited to come to this new location and I know they're still trying to figure things out, but they had me wait for a little bit and I want to say it was about eight people doing things, but I wasn't acknowledged once I walked in. That kind of bothered me and I was like this is not a good start for one of my favorite restaurants. As usual the food is always amazing because I've been eating Payway since I lived in Fort Lauderdale over 10 years ago. The place is very clean and great to sit in to eat. I will be back again because I'm not gonna allow my first impression to fully decide my next visit.

We love Pei Wei, but the closest location was 25 minutes away, until now! So happy the Lake Nona location recently opened. So convenient to nearby schools and offers a quick stop for lunch before after-school activities or for pickup for easy dinner. We stopped in for lunch yesterday and the staff here is so nice and friendly and happy to help you with whatever you need. Food was hot and good portion size. We got our favorite, kung pao chicken rice bowl (I ask for it mild). It's the best! I also ordered the chicken lettuce wrap appetizer as my personal lunch which is very filling and delicious. We got a side of fried rice and a side of noodles for the first time and I didn't realize they are fairly large portions so my daughter and I needed to-go boxes for our leftovers. We will be back many times!

The xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are so good; but so was everything else. Prices are moderate, but well worth every penny. The setting is great, feels Asian but is quite comfortable for most Americans. The service was the only area that wasn't great. I'm giving them a pass because of the time of day we visited. The team was friendly and ready to help but had to be waved down when we needed things. Bottom line... we will return when we're in the area again!

Food: Great flavor and quality. We ordered a cucumber salad (we spiced it up with chili oil, yumm!) Ramen noodle stir fry house special, pork fried pork buns, red bean buns, and a side of bock choy (huge portion). Our friends ordered the chicken stream buns (which were soup dumplings), and spicy beef ramen noodle soup, and spicy beef ramen noodle stir fry. Everything was delicious and flavorful. Minor downsides: Not having enough water and napkins and struggling to get staff attention once food was dropped off. Also, the tables felt small but we did order a lot to try different things.

The staff kindly packed up our leftovers for us, but when I got home and opened the bag, I realized some of the untouched dishes weren't included. It was a bit of a bummer since we were looking forward to enjoying them later. Even with that hiccup, the food was outstanding and definitely worth the visit. If you're a dim sum lover, this place deserves a spot on your list!

Highlights for sure was the calamari which was perfectly cooked and crispy, Peking duck was spot on and skin was perfect with juicy meat. Wonton was house made you can tell and it was awesome. I was disappointed with the steamed oyster as it was well cooked but the taste overall was just not for me. Lobster was also a let down. You could tell it was frozen or not too fresh. The meat was sticking to the shell which is a tell tale sign Overall a stellar meal , I would just avoid some of the dishes above but otherwise it was great

Besides that I really loved the chee cheong fun with xo sauce and the fried shrimp balls. Maybe because we went on a Monday they didn't do the dim sum carts which I love. But then again, the restaurant isn't too big so I feel like they usually don't do the carts. But this is a way to ensure all the food you're getting is fresh though! I do wish the dim sum menu was a little more varied. I feel like a few staples that I normally gravitate towards weren't there. But there was still enough to have a good filling meal.

Each time I order it, they tell me that shrimp dumplings are extra. They are very much worth it, by the way! The noodles in this soup are egg noodles. The tender bite draws you back. The chinese spinach is nourishing and offers iron to give you strength. The crispy pork is amazing. But it is really crunchy. At this restaurant they sell it by the pound, right along side the hanging duck which is by the pound as well. They sell so many dishes that are well-loved, but I tend to get the soup. It's so nourishing and flavorful. Top tip for parking...you can park in the back, but there are many restaurants on the same aisle so you sometimes have to wait for people to leave.
