We now order about every two weeks from them. The only drawback is their phone. Sometimes hard to understand, and quite the difficult system to order online. Disgusting, first the guy that was unwelcoming, I order half chicken with French fries, thinking it was going to be like in NYC. WRONG! the chicken was burn to the point I could not even peal the skin off to get to the meat. When I got to the meat area it was the meat was dark and green. We have been going here for about 6 years. About 2 months ago we ordered our usual. The food was horrible. Egg roll was full of grease and the rest of the food looked like it was left out all day. We decided to go back today and let them know what happened. He just looked at us and didn't say a word, not sorry, not anything. So that was our last time. The staff is friendly and the quality of food is really good! They are happy to customize your order and take pride in their restaurant! I almost always order Boneless Spare ribs with Spicy pork fried rice! I add extra sauce to the ribs and extra green onions to the rice for more flavor. It's located in a well lit and safe shopping plaza. Plenty of seating if you wish to dine in, clean bathrooms, clean tables and floors. The egg rolls are ok, the soups are amazing! After they changed ownership everything has went down hill. Thier hot and sour soup is awful, thier fried rice is mush and my last attempt of giving them a shot was nothing a disappointment. Found two hairs in our general tsao. That was the nail in the coffin. We won't be returning. read more

So all in all it was pretty good. Ordered the house low mein, Mongolian beef and egg rolls. Wished I could've gotten sweet and sour for the egg rolls, the Mongolian beef was more like Mongolian onions. It was like they cut up one piece of tri tip into tiny slivers and then chopped literally 4 whole onions. I've never been to any Chinese restaurant that put that many onions into one dish. First and last time for this establishment. If you've ordered from here previously and you've given them more than 1 star, your tastebuds are clearly destroyed and/or have no standards for Chinese food. Before anything, please note that I am a New Yorker. I've lived in New York for over 20 years and I moved to Orlando 3 months ago. I seen this place had 4 stars and it was "New York style Chinese" so I was excited to find Chinese food I'll actually like. My bf ordered chicken wings w/French fries and I had the small bourbon chicken w/a small house fried rice and a side order of fried dumplings. His order of chicken wings w/French fries were old. Fries weren't all that great and the chicken was stale. It tasted old- like it was yesterday's or the day before chicken and they just refried it. They could've cared less in my opinion. He was completely turned off by it and it ended up in the garbage. My side order of the fried dumplings were hard and semi burnt. First red flag for my order and I tossed that aside. My main meal was the bourbon chicken with house rice. My chicken was as dry as sand. No kidding. I felt like I was eating cardboard. No taste/no flavor/no umph. The rice wasn't great either. It has a weird taste that I can't seem to put my finger on. I'm so disappointed in this establishment. Never will I go there again nor do I recommend you going there. For a total of $26 (which is way beyond what it should've been for the quality) the only DECENT thing we had in our order was the small COMPLIMENTARY WHITE RICE that came with my chicken and rice. It's a modest looking take out restaurant along a strip mall in the Conway/Airport area. I must say that the precision and consistency with which they put out their food is admirable to say the least. It is definitely family-owned from the few times that I've spoken with the owners. They're also friendly and very hardworking. You can see most of their family working in the kitchen at one point or another when you go. Their oldest son which takes most orders at the register and over the phone tells me that he works there virtually seven days a week. As for the food. I have never had a single bad meal to date, and can comfortably say that I've eaten here well over a dozen times. The portions are very generous granted how affordable it is. Their sesame chicken and garlic honey chicken or shrimp are the bomb! They're chicken wings and boneless rib tips are also very tasty. It looks like your average, little take out gig with a few vinyl seating booths and some huge faded painting of Chinese mountains on the wall, but don't let appearances steer you away. The quality of ingredients and mostly, style with which they prepare ordered dishes, are irrevocably excellent. Their menu prices are pretty average , but what keeps me coming back and justifying almost a 25 minute ride, is their food. I'm totally surrounded by mediocre to outright disgusting take out places by where I live, and find comfort in knowing that the drive is worth the wait and the wait is worth their oh-so delicious food. So to Sunflower I go, when I have time to spare and gas in my tank. I'll even order in bulk sometimes and take it home with me, so that way I can reheat my Sunflowery yumminess throughout the week. I'm picky about my Chinese food, especially from a strip mall. But this place is hands down the best place around. The service is excellent. I usually have mine delivered, it's always hot and fresh. This time I drove down to pick it up. The inside of the place is not really that appealing and a little outdated, but you can see them cooking everything and I like that. You can tell it's family owned, all the kids are usually there and they are all friendly. Our "usual" is the Combo plates, BBQ ribs, rice and soup instead of egg roll, and the sweet and sour chicken combo, pint of chicken lo mein and crab rangoon. All for about $25. Recently placed a delivery order. The order took close to an hour to deliver, and the food was less than worth the wait. We ordered moo shu pork, beef on a stick, cashew chicken, and wonton soup. Out of the entire order, the only thing I would pick up the phone and order again would be the moo shu. The cashew chicken was oddly sweet and was more carrots and celery than chicken or cashews. The beef on a stick had quite a strange flavor, but it was edible. Half descent wonton soup, a restaurant does not make. If you want moo shu, give them a call, otherwise I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more

Upon arrival, and after I had paid, I was looking through the menu. Much to my dismay, the menu prices were about 1/3 less than the on line prices. Upon questioning the person behind the counter, I was informed that he is charged 30% by door dash. I did not order on door dash, however, this surcharge was passed on to me. I requested a refund for the difference. This gentleman flatly refused! I was more than a little upset, however he stated he did not care! The food not bad. It's not very good either. But, it's not bad. If you're not in a hurry for a delivery (meaning you're willing to wait more than an hour for delivery from less than 10 minutes away), this could be a contender. There are some caveats, thought. Don't bother with vegetables. I've ordered the green beans once. They came wilted and practically gray...I doubt I was missing any nutritional value, so I tossed 'em. The Mei Fun is okay. I've had better, but I like the flexibility of portion sizes. Most place only offer a quart size.?so, break out the hot sauce, soy sauce, or duc sauce and enjoy a pint. Bottom line: you're gonna need some sauce. Next time, don't bother ordering online. Sure, it's convenient and perhaps more secure to offer your credit/debit card info using https vs. having someone write it down on a scratch pad that ends up "who knows where"...BUT, it can cause problems when you call to inquire about your order. See, last time I ordered when I called to figure out where my order was after 1 hour and 15 minutes, I was reminded that I didn't stress that I "was in a hurry". I didn't realize that expecting delivery in less than an hour from a place located 5 miles from me was unreasonable. But... TRAFFIC, y'know?! That's what I was told (this time). Traffic. I placed my order by 5:33pm and it still wasn't on its at to me by 6:45pm. Since I needed to be across town by 7:00pm I canceled the order and prayed there would be snacks at the venue.
