Poké Bowl - 2 Protein hamachi and spicy marinated tuna Edamame mango masego
    Jalene R.

Everything was really good except the hamachi taste too fishy and just not that great. The spicy marinade that they use for the tuna poke is really good and probably masks the fishy flavor. However all the ingredients are good. I also ordered coconut milk tea but it did not taste like coconut at all.

One of my go to spots everything is always fresh and ready on time when I order through my app the Yum Yum sauce is always a great addition to all of the dishes

Been at this location in lake Nona a couple of times now, and always a great experience. Located in a shipping center. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ample seating area[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great food options for all. Nice location. Self service kiosks to place your order. I always go for a bento box.

    Grilled chicken

I ordered grilled for that price it has good portions of food. Chicken was good but the noodles is not fresh some are hard to chew. The crab Rangoon was good but it has little fillings. My partner enjoyed his food at least. We ordered through the tablet and we pick our number so they can deliver the food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was quiet because we're the 3rd table that is dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Maybe I'll come back to try other dishes..

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so cute![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When we first came here I actually thought it was more like an actual sit-down and be-served type restaurant, but you order at the counter and then they bring it to you. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The artwork and design here is really interesting, I found myself looking around at it all for a while I waited for my meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was great and the ordering experience was really easy, it's a little kiosk up at the front and someone did come over to offer help if needed. Overall, I would come back!

Small Hawaiian Bowl with rice, tuna, edamame, cucumber, mango, wakame & avocado. Fresh and yummy!

I still enjoy Bento, but there seems to be a difference in quality lately. Specifically, the rice bowls are just not as good as they used to be. The noodle bowls are still fantastic. Right now, the Hawaiian Poke Bowl special is a great deal. With tax, it's just under $10 for ahi tuna with edamame, mango, cucumber, wakame (seaweed salad), onion and scallion topped with avocado (I got mine without the onion and scallions). It was fresh and filling! I would certainly get this again while it's at this special price! I will continue to come here for the poke, sushi and noodle bowls. And boba, too!

I've been to this location a couple times and seems to be a hit or miss. Sometimes the Sushi rice is hard. Other times it's cooked perfectly. I'd probably recommend going to a different location if you want a more consistent time. They still have the same rolls at all of the locations. Usually their miso soup also includes tofu but there was none when I ordered it this time. The servers were nice. You order from the kiosk and then you have limited interaction when they bring you the food. However, we did get everything we ordered. The hand washing station by the drink fountain had no soap. There's some weird mold looking substance on the upper walls by the entrance which had me a little worried. The fish mural is absolutely amazing. This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately is not living up to it. I'm still a big fan of Bento so I hope they can put a little TLC into this location.

    Bento box

I had never been to Bento before, but had heard great things so we decided to give it a try. We went to this location on a Friday evening around 6pm. We were one of two groups there. The menu screens above the cash register were not on, and there was a family standing in front of the self order stations. The person behind the cash register was able to get us a menu to look over before ordering. For everything it was around $40 for two meals, spring rolls and a side of green beans. I don't believe the price of the food was worth the quality or experience. After ordering we went to look for a table, which most were dirty or in extremely low lighting areas. It seemed as though part of their dining room lights were turned off, which a little weird but not completely off putting. We finally found a table that was semi clean, only to look at the wall by the table and see crumbs and sauce all over it. For being so empty, we were surprised that it wasn't cleaner, but maybe that's why it wasn't busy. The bento box, spring rolls and green beans were brought out in a timely manner. As the girl was setting the food on the table, she started to let us know that the teriyaki chicken bowl would be out in a few minutes due to their cooking process. A few minutes turned into around ten minutes, which was a bit frustrating. Had the person at the register mentioned it would take longer to prepare that bowl, I don't think I would have been as frustrated, but communication clearly lacked. The food itself was okay, nothing special. Again, for what we paid I felt like we should have been blown away with how good the food was, but instead we were left less than impressed. The service was okay, but I didn't care for how dirty the restaurant felt. There are a handful of other fast casual Asian cuisine places that are much more affordable that have a lot better food. I don't think I will be going out of my way to come back.

Tiny rolls, would you pay $20 for this?
    Peter G.

I really want to love it here however the past few times have been less than ideal. The sushi never tastes fresh, almost like grocery store sushi, which honestly would have been tastier and probably have gotten a larger portion if I had gotten it from Publix. These sushi rolls are TINY. They had a BOGO on rolls and even then the portion size feels small. Luckily I only paid $10 for this meal instead of $20 but in no way whatsoever do the portions and quality match the full price. On top of that, I get all the way home to find that my spicy tuna roll was missing the spicy mayo on top, so it was extremely dry and didn't taste right. Then as I was eating I found a piece of hair on the top of the container. Either lower your prices to match grocery store sushi or up the quality and satisfaction of the product. The only reason I have 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the BOGO which brought the meal down closer to what it's worth.

As you can see the rolls were very small and lacking. Nothigunlike the picture.

I have fond memories of going to the Sand Lake Bento in my early 20s...so when I saw this location I was thrilled. I couldn't have been more disappointed. The restaurant is very gorgeous inside with koi fish on the ceiling. Their technology is pretty cool. It's interesting how you can place your order on a kiosk. I was impressed with the presentation of the restaurant. It was my food that really ruined the experience for me and service. I ordered a sushi combo bento box. For my rolls It comes with Cali and I added Mt. Fuji, and rainbow. Firstly the sushi rolls were very small. Not how I remember them. They looked like they weren't rolled properly. One of my favorite aspects of sushi is the avocado... hence why I ordered all rolls with avocado. Guess what? My rolls were all missing avocado amongst other stuff. I was so disgusted that they could charge over $15 for the bento box and present it to a customer like this. I asked the manager where the avocado was and he said they were out. I told him that's something they need to inform guest because I might've ordered something else. He responded by asking if I want a refund. I waited and tried to eat my rolls but they weren't even appetizing so I went back to the manager and he said he'd refund me. After waiting for two guest in line and him not adknowledging me he finally told me he refunded me already but gave no receipt or anything. The saddest part was I left without eating. The manager didn't try to rectify the situation at all by offering an alternative or sincerely apologizing. I also ordered a children's bento box and I had to ask for the chop stick tool. My son didn't love his food either. Lastly I got a taro milk tea. The only part of the entire experience I enjoyed. I wish it could've went better.

Bento Box with General Tso chicken and a side of egg rolls
    Nisheet G.

We were in the mood for some Asian food during our road trip so we decided to checkout Bento Asian. Here's my take on the experience: Quality of food: Good. We tried the Bento Box that came with white rice, ginger salad, lo mein, and garlic string beans. For protein, we chose the general tso chicken which is wok fried with red and green bell pepper. We also got a side of two egg rolls. The garlic string beans were simply delicious. The general tso chicken could have been a tad bit crispier. The egg rolls, though nice and crispy, were encased in a lot of oil and I had to use quite a few paper napkins to soak it all out. Décor: modern. This place felt like it could be in LA. Cleanliness: good. The tables and the bathroom was clean. Service: good. Our cashier was pleasant and told us everything about the menu options. Price: expensive. The Bento Box was $15 which is a little steep considering this is a fast-food style restaurant. The egg rolls were $6 which is also a little bit more than expected. They also sell sushi rolls and the cheapest roll on the menu, spicy tuna roll, was $9 which is more than I have ever seen at just about any reputable sushi place. If you're in the mood for some decent albeit expensive Chinese/Japanese fast food then check out Bento.

We waited 15 more minutes (20 minutes from being seated) and we flagged down a server to take our order. Another party got tired of waiting and just left. The restaurant was only 30% full so there was no excuse for this. However the food came out in about 12 minutes after ordering which is not bad. The food was delicious! We got the house knife cut noodles, pan fried Peking duck buns, and the bok choy with garlic. Everything was excellent. The noodles were so tasty with the beef being the best. The boiled egg is a little odd but it was still good. The Peking duck buns were so good! I am convinced that the only reason this place is still in business is because the food is so good that it offsets the terrible service If you have a lot of time and don't mind waiting for your food. I definitely recommend trying this place. Other people had better luck with the service but I saw at least one other person say that the service was bad. The food is 5 star but the service is 2 star so I gave it a 4 overall.
