    Mofongo w/ Shrimp
    Natasha V.

Heres my honest review from someone who loves Puerto Rican Chinese food. I came here last weekend with my parents. We've tried other Puerto Rican/Chinese fusion spots before nothing quite like back in PR, but there are definitely some solid places around Orlando so we decided to give this one a try. Pros: The restaurant itself is beautiful -- nicely decorated, clean, and with a designated parking area, which is always appreciated. We were seated right away and the service was good. No complaints there. Cons (the food): Unfortunately, everything we ordered lacked flavor. It all needed more seasoning, more salt, more something. I ordered the chicken pinchos, arroz chino, garlic tostones, plus a few appetizers for the table. I didn't even touch my pinchos because the chicken was raw. They bring it out in a little tabletop heating pot with a flame -- I'm guessing it's supposed to finish cooking at the table; but my flame was barely on compared to other tables (noticed as I was leaving). Pinchos are also usually made with onions and peppers between the meat, and mine had none. I personally like when they're slightly charred, and these were nowhere near that. The arroz chino was also disappointing...again, very bland. My mom ordered the mofongo with shrimp and it came out cold. The only thing we actually enjoyed was one of the appetizers the cheese-filled relleno. That came out hot and was pretty tasty. For a $100+ meal where only one appetizer stood out, we won't be going back, and unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place. Oh forgot to mention... both my parents got so sick after. If you recall above I personally did not eat what I ordered. I tasted the rice didn't like it, didn't even want to touch the chicken... I'm not going to eat something I don't like. My parents grew up different and in a time where u ate what was provided and so they did... and regretted it after.

I'm not sure what happened to my other review, but here's my honest take. The concept and decor behind Coqui Ninja are excellent I really love the vibe and the overall idea of the restaurant. However, the food execution leaves a lot to be desired. Unfortunately, the dishes didn't taste very fresh and left an unpleasant aftertaste. I would strongly recommend that the restaurant double-check the freshness of their oil and other ingredients, as this could make a big difference. That said, the service was friendly and the ambiance was truly enjoyable.

I went for a friend's birthday dinner and it was really good! The restaurant decor was the perfect fusion of Puerto Rican and Asian decor! Well done. Our server was very nice and took her time explaining the menu. I ordered two appetizers, Cuerno Beef Eggroll and Crab Rangoon. The eggrolls were my favorite! So unique and delicious. Corn beef, Sweet plantain, Mozzarella cheese with Pineapple sauce or Guava sauce. I ordered both sauce but definitely preferred the guava sauce. I would definitely go back and try the mofongo!

This restaurant is in a little plaza, on the corner of Curry Ford Rd and Crystal Lake Dr. The restaurant is so cute! The decor is colorful and fun, and you can definitely see the Japanese fusion. There is Spanish music playing all the time; makes you want to dance. The COQUI is a little tiny frog in Puerto Rico that starts singing as soon as sun sets. It sings co-kee, cokee! So the logo is a little coqui dressed as a ninja! The food was very tasty and the service was great. The only downfall is that I went during my 1 hour lunch time and got back late to work as they take a long time preparing the food.

Really disappointed I didn't get a chance to eat at this place. My family and I left a Disney park and drove 30 minutes to eat at this fusion restaurant we saw on IG. Friends who flew in with us had eaten here days prior and were told as long as they ordered food before closing they would be served. We came on Saturday night at 8:35pm and saw on the website that they close at 9:00pm. However as we waited to be seated the waitress said they would only take To Go orders because the kitchen was closing soon. After doing Disney all day we really wanted to sit down to have a meal, so sadly we decided to go elsewhere. The website should state that the kitchen closes for dine in options 30 mins prior to the kitchen closing.

A must! We tried so many items off the menu and all delicious. The atmosphere here is so nice and clean. Puertorican and Japanese fusion. Here is what we ordered and loved. Started with the pastelitos de camarón and the relleno de papa. My aunt and I ordered the costillas de BBQ, con arroz chino, tostones al ajillo. My Husband ordered pepper steak con arroz chino y amarillos. my grandmother ordered camarones a la ajillo con arroz chino y amarillos. my son ordered off the kids menu and got pizza with fries. For dessert we had the flan de queso which topped it off. All dishes were amazing. Customer service was so good!!

I'll start by acknowledging that they just opened and are working out the tweeks, but my overall experience was poor. When we first arrived and were sat, 2 servers were bickering quite loudly right in the middle of the dinning area with one of them completely unloading on the other. We ended up ordering the Ramen and the peppered steak mafungo. The Ramen arrived first, but resembled something I would try and make if I tried dressing up instant Ramen. The noodles were literally from an instant Ramen pack, the egg was over cooked and the broth lacked any body, was totally bland, and it came out a little more than lukewarm. While we ordered both entries at the same time, our mofungo took an additional 20 minutes to arrive. The entre had its pros and cons. The meat and veggies were perfectly cooked, however they were drowned in teriyaki sauce. Once we got down to the plantains, we found them to be pretty dry with little flavor. If they would have improved the plantains and used 1/2 the sauce, i think the plate would have been much better. In addition to all this our server seemed to be overly focused on bringing food out, which wasn't happening as quickly or often as they wanted or it should have been, but they didn't take any opportunity to complete other tasks, like clearing tables, or closing out there tickets. We had to wave them down to check out. And though we finished the Ramen before the mofungo arrived, the Ramen bowl was still there once we finally left.

This place is such a cute vibe. That rings were OK. The service was OK the food oh God I don't even know where to start so the lo mein was overcooked had no flavor. The shrimp with lobster toss did not even have lobster sauce and not even sure what that sauce was something garlic eat, but it wasn't shrimp with garlic, which I should've gotten The rice needed more soy sauce. The delicious goes on and on it really took a long time for us to get our food so but I know that they're new unfortunately I won't be able to go back there again did not like the experience I received.

Had the opportunity to have lunch with the hubs at this new restaurant. We were impressed by the decor and the attention from the servers. Our appetizer, the meat and cheese stuffed potatoes were delicious and freshly prepared. I wish I could say the same about our entree. It lacked that puertorrican / Chinese flavor and seasoning they are known for. The pork chunks looked as if they were reheated and not fried on the spot. I will say that we enjoyed the parcha cheese which I forgot to take a picture of. It's a maybe for me and the hubs. 3 stars for creativity, service and appetizers.

We went when they were in there soft opening so I will give them some grace and we've been 1 more time since then. Thoughts on the decor and ambiance- we really liked how everything was decorated and the colors went very well together the tables are round so it does make it a bit awkward to sit at with 4 people there's a big post in the middle of the table which makes it a bit awkward. Other than that everything is beautifully decorated. Food- the first time we went we LOVED the corn beef eggroll it was absolutely delicious! The mofongo did lack a bit of flavor in my opinion. It needed sauce to vamp it up. The spare ribs we ordered with the mofongo was very thin tasted good but some pieces were a tad bit on the cooler side. The teriyaki chicken and lo mein was also delicious. The food the second time- Orange chicken was on point! Loved the sauce tasted home made not from a jar the arroz chino had lots of shrimp and was really flavorful. The garlic plantains were not our favorite tasted like they threw minced garlic on top of plantains. Needs more of a butter garlic sauce to make it better. But the pinchos which they didn't have the 1st time BLEW US AWAY so delicious and great presentation! Service- they were super nice and helpful with recommendations the servers seem new like maybe it's their first serving Job? They need more confidence especially in their menu. DESSERT Is amazing here I would go back just for their cheese flan. Overall we enjoyed our experience and after a few months when they get all the kinks worked out we will give them another try!

Heyyyyyyyy you guyyyyys! The esthetic is pleasing immediately upon walking in. Vibrant colors, open kitchen, no full liquor bar, beer, wine, sake options. The appetizers were good I would rate them as follows. Rellenitos 10, crab Rangoon 5, yuca fries 6, kimchi edamame 3, pork rinds 8. Orange chicken was also ordered at our table and it was good the lo mein was a hit. Glad I tried it but won't be going back, nothing was a wow factor for me. Service was good our server was attentive and pleasant.

Pinchos de pollo, arroz frito , tostones al ajillo.

The food was delicious . I had the Sancocho and ingredients tasted fresh. No greasy aftertaste. The tostones al ajillo were crispy with just the perfect amount of garlic. Pinchos de pollos were crispy on the edges the way I like them. All in all, it was a great experience and the server explained the menu since it was our first time there. Don't hesitate to give them a try. Ambience is so nice with the Asian feeling and Salsa playing overhead .

Food: Great flavor and quality. We ordered a cucumber salad (we spiced it up with chili oil, yumm!) Our friends ordered the chicken stream buns (which were soup dumplings), and spicy beef ramen noodle soup, and spicy beef ramen noodle stir fry. Everything was delicious and flavorful.
