Went in here while staying at the Wave hotel. Didn't know what to expect and am not into most of the odd fusion Japanese. Then they told me no sushi, I was nervous. Turned out Angela walked us through a wonderful meal of stuff I would have never ordered. Except 1 iffy plate for me all was delicious. I couldn't believe we ate it. The dessert was wonderful too! Will post pics. Ambience was great. Dark and exclusive.

Nami has incredible service and one of the reasons we chose to spend our evening celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary with them, that and our desire for the king crab legs and fried rice but we didn't realize those were based on time of year. So upon entry we were greeted and wished a Happy Anniversary from the hostess and then again from each person who interacted with us. I always appreciate attention to detail and small things that take notice. Our server and assistants were fantastic. There was never a time or moment to have even a crumb on the table that they weren't cleaning off. We both ordered the Moss as our cocktail, and my husband prefers a mezcal so he switched the regular tequila for one of the many they had to offer. He was also excited to learn new brands that most other places don't have. I enjoy a light and refreshing cocktail and that's exactly what Moss was with the cucumber and yuzu was perfect for this hot summer evening to start with. For appetizers we had the Nami nuggets which were fantastic, sliced thin, extra crunchy with lemon and dipping sauce, literally the perfect bite. My husband had the octopus (I'm not a fan), but he said it was the best octopus he'd ever had! We shared the lobster and fried rice for dinner and honestly we took a bunch home for leftovers because it was so much food! 2.5 pounds of lobster in total between the cracked shells and what's added to the fried rice. At the end we just went with the dessert they offered us for free because we were stuffed and couldn't eat another bite. We both tried it and agreed we weren't fans of lemongrass ice cream but we appreciated the thought. The pineapple compote and crumble were excellent though. Overall, Nami is a fantastic date and special occasion restaurant. Excellent food and service. We'll be back in the fall when the king crab comes back!

Nami Lake Nona is a vibe and then some. The space is intimate, gorgeous, and not oversized exactly what fine dining should feel like. Think chill Miami energy meets Japanese-inspired cuisine. We started with warm hand towels and airy rice chips with a tahini miso paste that honestly set the tone for how good the rest of the night was going to be. Starters included spicy Hamachi Maki, salmon crudo, and a cucumber salad in a sauce so good we kept it on the table to dip everything else into. Drinks were a highlight too. I had a passionfruit mocktail, refreshing and fizzy. My fiancé went with the Japanese-style highball, made with a specialty machine that only three locations in the state have. Super light, smooth, and you feel it way before you really taste it. For dinner I had the Chilean Seabass, easily top two ever, served with a beet radish that was way better than it sounds. My fiancé had the ribeye with wasabi mash and baby corn with crème fraîche. Both were incredible. Dessert was a hazelnut vanilla ice cream situation that reminded me of Ferrero Rocher in gold flakes. Warm, cold, crunchy, creamy, every bite hit differently. Our server Haley was amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and sweet. We ended the night with a caramel fudge in edible wrapping which was such a cute touch. Foodies, this one's for you. Go.

This place is absolutely worth the hype! We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. We were a table of 4 and ordered 3-4 plates per round. Starting with the first round, we go the tuna pizza and nami maki. Both were incredible - I especially loved the tuna pizza and could have so many of those. The second round we ordered the nami nuggets, octopus, lobster donuts, and yakitori chicken wings. Everything was also so delicious. My favorites were the nami nuggets and lobster donuts. Would definitely order those again. The final round included lamb chops, corn, and mushroom donabe. Oh my goodness - the lamb chops were SO good. I really only have good things to say about all the food we ordered. The ambiance and service was just as great and I think it's a great dinner spot!

Dining at Nami's chef's counter is both an honor and an unforgettable adventure. Chef Jason is incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about his craft. He and his talented team guide guests through an 18+ course tasting menu, sharing the story behind each dish, the ingredients, the inspiration, and even Chef Jason's own culinary journey. Every course was exceptional, and every bite was something to savor. While the cuisine is rooted in Japanese traditions, it draws inspiration from cultures and flavors around the world. You'll almost certainly experience ingredients and techniques you've never encountered before, making the meal as exciting as it is delicious. The entire evening is thoughtful, meticulously executed, and unlike any dining experience I've ever had. If you've ever considered trying a chef's tasting menu, make it Nami. You won't be disappointed. It's an experience you'll remember long after the last course is served.

What a pleasant surprise. A hidden gem in Lake Nona, Orlando Florida. This was our first time dining in at Nami. We did a 20 course chef's counter with Chef Jason Beliveau, which was similar to omakase experience except every course was a fusion of flavors from different countries. Nami is located on the back side of Wave Hotel. We parked in the parking garage and walked through the hotel and out to the back. You will walk into a beautifully decorated area with lots of trees and lights that will make you want to walk around a bit enjoying the view. Inside the restaurant, the ambiance was cozy and there was a naturally elegant feel to it. From the ceiling to the walls to the trees spaced out throughout the restaurant, it was a perfect environment that invites you in to dine in. Executive chef Jason was personable, with bright energy and made the whole dining experience so fun that two hours flew by quickly. He explained where many of the ingredients come from, and how each dish was crafted. Each dish was intricately and carefully put together. From preparation to presentation to flavor it was a unique experience for sure. I didn't think that I would get full but by the time the course meal was over with, but I was also done for. No more food, no more desserts, and no more drinks. I was content, satisfied, and just wanted to go to sleep. This is an experience that everyone should try for sure. I recommend making a reservation for your next special celebration. Please let me know what you thought of the experience!

Had the best time celebrating our anniversary at Nami!!! All of the wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive!! Everything we had to eat was also delicious! I loved the ambiance of this restaurant a lot. It's dimly lit and felt very intimate, it was perfect for our anniversary dinner! I cannot wait to go back and try more!

So this was our second time coming here. It's very romantic with dim lights and good ambiance. All the food was delicious but this time around I did get very sick that night and the next morning. Me and my husband shared everything except the hamachi, so I think I got sick from the raw fish. In a positive note everything else was very flavorful and good, it is pricy but worth it for a nice date night or celebrating something. Our server was very kind and attentive. Everything was delicious but the corn and hamachi was a skip. We will be back for the steak and cavier that was amazing and the experience, I will stay away from the raw fish next time.

Beautiful, romantic atmosphere, kind and attentive service, and top notch dishes make Nami a must-add to your Orlando culinary bucket list. We started with the oysters which were one of my favorite bites of the night. Tangy, tart, sweet, and salty. Next, we had the madai which was a perfect follow-up as it was delicate, clean, and delicious. My favorite dish of the night were the lobster donuts - essentially bite-sized lobster rolls that were packed with flavor. For the main courses we went with the Hokkaido scallops (note only 1 scallop per order and they are fairly small, so recommend getting two if you're sharing) and the lamb chops. Both were incredible. I couldn't stop going back for more of the sauce the scallops are sitting in. Finally, we ended with a couple of old fashioneds and the matcha/sesame/chocolate cake. The cocktails were great, well balanced and the table side cedar burning really adds to the experience. The dessert was good, but probably my least favorite bite of the night as I felt the sesame, matcha, and chocolate competed with one another. Reservations are highly recommended as it's a smaller venue, although there are a few bar seats so I would assume they allow walk-ins when space allows. Overall we had an incredible experience and will look forward to returning when we're planning our next splurge meal!

Had a drink at the bar before indulging in the chef's table - both 10/10! The pictures speak for themselves but the chef made the night even more special. He's a real showman who is incredibly proud of his team and their collective talents, as well he should be. Unfortunately I can only upload half of what I took (because of Yelp limits)! I already have a reservation to go back.

Some of the most amazing food I have ever had! The service is great, ambiance is great, and food is even better. MUST ORDER: Octopus, Nami Nuggets, Lamb chops. It melts in your mouth. Life changing!!

Came here with a couple of girlfriends for dinner. Reservations are a must. Classy and sophisticated so be sure you are dressed to impress. The ambience is dim, warm, intimate and inviting. Our service was amazing from start to finish. This was my first time dining here and our waiter Pablo was friendly and helpful. He went over the menu and even suggested his favorite dishes. Everything he recommended was delicious. Though the portions are small, it was more than enough for my girlfriends and I to share. We shared the cucumbers, madai, hamachi and robota salmon were fresh and flavorful. I really enjoyed the nami nuggets and the mushroom donabe. I was really impressed with the service and food here. No wonder they earned a Michelin award. So if you're looking for something that's sexy and low key, come here. It's perfect for date night or a nice dinner with friends.

I walked in with a friend and was thankfully able to get a spot at the bar. I don't eat meat/seafood but still wanted to try what I could. Listen, even the veggies are delicious here! I got the cucumber salad and the cauliflower side. Both packed with flavor. I also got the lilac cocktail which was STRONG and had some good flavors. This venue is beautiful so dress to impress. Service at the bar was great and the bartender was quite knowledgeable. I would return but I do feel like this is more of a special occasion venue for me.

The restaurant was extremely busy, so I expected a bit of a wait. However, the service was much slower than expected. It took a long time for our food to arrive, and one of the four kids' meals we ordered never came out. After waiting around 45 minutes, instead of apologizing or trying to resolve the issue, the manager approached us and immediately became argumentative about how many kids' meals had been ordered. I wasn't looking for a confrontation--I simply wanted the missing meal. I actually had to stop the conversation and tell him that if he came over just to argue, I wasn't interested. That interaction really left a bad impression. As for the food, it was a mix of highs and lows. The blue crab dip was easily the standout of the meal--rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. It's absolutely worth ordering. The edamame was also well prepared and made for a great appetizer. Unfortunately, the gnocchi was the complete opposite. It arrived ice cold, lacked flavor, and was one of the most disappointing entrées I've had. For roughly $45 between my meal and wine, I expected a much better experience. While I appreciate that they offered a Kids Eat Free promotion, the long wait, missing meal, and poor handling of the situation overshadowed that benefit. The restaurant itself has a sleek, contemporary atmosphere that's great for groups or families, but the lack of attentive service and the manager's approach to customer concerns made the experience far less enjoyable. I hope they've improved since my visit, because the blue crab dip alone deserves recognition, but based on this experience, I wouldn't be in a hurry to return.
