Food was good! I enjoyed the shrimp lo mein and the crab Rangoon. They are so tasty you don't even need the sauce.

I had been craving chinese but my go to place is too far away to get regularly. I chose to try this place due to ratings. To say it was disappointing is an understatement. I bought what I think are some pretty basic things like fried rice, lo mein and neither had any flavor. The chicken dish I ordered is known to be spicy and I selected the hottest spice level however it had zero spice (or flavor as well). I don't often order, but love, crab rangoon and ordered it because it was well reviewed. Also lacking flavor. I didn't even bother to eat the wonton soup after sipping the broth. Lastly, I was handed my food about 10 minutes after it should have been ready and by the time I got it home 10 minutes later, food was lukewarm at best. I'm addicted to their crab Rangoon. The owner knows my voice and order. Crab Rangoon no sauce. They are so good they don't need it! When I have friends come visit they always ask for these! Their mix wonton/egg drop soup is really good too but the Rangoon are the stars at this spot! read more

Full transparency, ordered here on accident AND it was the best Chinese food I have had in this area. I am so happy I got to eat this food. The chicken was so good and tender. The rice was delicious. My go to Chinese take out spot! Prices are affordable and the food always slaps! If you judge your Chinese food based on vibe, there is a kid typically somewhere around and this establishment is well loved, so definitely the gold mine when it comes to Chinese take out. The people on here claiming this is the best have no idea how good Chinese food is supposed to taste. Not surprised. Culturally speaking this town lacks any authenticity. Got PFR and Chicken and broccoli. The PFR lacked any real flavor or at least any that somewhat resembles a good PFR. Looked and tasted more like Mexican rice, most likely they have Mexicans cooking Chinese food, no proof, but wouldn't be surprised. The chicken and broccoli was awful, how could you screw that up, you ask... you have to really not care about quality and taste. The chicken was the consistency of, I don't even know how to describe it, it was extremely soft, not fresh tasting at all, no bite to it. Gross, I couldn't take a second bite. I do not recommend. Basically dog food, which is what it ended up being. At least you made my dog happy, thanks. To the people claiming this place is great, I feel for you. Get out a little bit. Go to Philadelphia, better yet, New York City, enjoy some authentic fine cuisine from people and chefs that have passion and take pride in what they create. The egg foo young was really delicious because it was more mild tasting with a lot of vegetables mixed in. It was quite oily but egg foo young is sort of deep fried. LUNCH MENU ONLY REVIEW Peking House on Makefield Road, Yardley (actually, Lower Makefield), Pa., sits in an older strip center that also houses RJ's Bagels and a couple of nail salons. So, if you want to have some Chinese takeout while having a pedicure this is your special place. Otherwise, the grub here is pretty standard fare for Chinese/American joints. It relies on take away business, with only one table and service for eat ins in the same takeout containers. They were able to boil water for hot tea, which so many these days just refuse to offer. It was appreciated. My lunch special was pork egg foo young, with fried rice and wonton soup. The soup was the weakest link. The dumplings were thick skinned and were filled with some meat thing that had little taste. The broth was likewise, flavorless. The pancakes were decent, with plenty of veggies and thin strips of pork. The brown sauce was a bit too cool and had congealed in the plastic container. No Thanks! The rice was made at some point in the past with a yellow dye bouillon, but was too hard and past its prime. There may be some better things on their menu for dinner, but as this isn't in my neighborhood, I am unlikely to find out. read more

The food tasted okay but my husband and I both got sick afterwards. We were both up all night sick.

Really good food, but this is definitely a takeout joint. One table for waiting. No ambiance - mostly a kitchen and an order counter.

Peking House occupies the former location of May's Kitchen. Though it's been a long time since anyone I know has ordered delivery from Peking House, I'm pretty sure it does have that option. The convenience of delivery coupled with it's close location is what earns it 3 stars rather than 2, because honestly the food is nothing exciting. If you're lucky you'll order something they do well, or just catch them on a good night, but there is always the chance you'll end up with Chinese food that looks decent... but tastes like nothing. When Peking first opened and we orderd pickup I was shocked by the lack of flavor. Once or twice since then and it's been better, but far from great. read more

Ordered through Eat24 run by GrubHub to pick up food on a Monday night about 6:00 pm. Received a text around 6:30 pm stating "the restaurant was busy and to arrive around 6:45-7:55 pm" for the food. Arrived to the restaurant and turns out it was closed.... when they should've been open. Website, google, Eat24, even yelp, all state they are open from 3:00-10:00 pm on Mondays. Had to call Eat24 to get a refund. Apparently they are closed on Mondays now. read more

Very disappointed in their chicken chow main. I am. It sure what it was not do I car but it's not chow main. When I called the lady verified my order with my number and said, yes it was. Veggies in a white broth. No I told her it looks more like a soup. She said it was chow main. I stumbled across this place picking my daughter up from a friends house. I was very hungry and decided to give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the food. It wasn't over greasy as some Chinese places can be. So theirs became my go to place for Chinese. It is out of my way a bit and they do not deliver so I considered it to be worth the drive. That was until recently. I had gotten an order of shrimp mei fun and shrimp egg goo young. The mei fun noodles tasted like plastics to me. Now with all these stories about plastic rice I became extremely leery about these noodles. Now I've eaten my fair share of mei fun and I've never had that experience before. My wife and I love Peking House Chinese Food! The quality and portions are great! My wife never suggested Chinese for dinner when we would get from other Chinese restaurants, it was always me. Since we have discovered Peking House, my wife wants it once a week. We both love their dumplings which are filled with a generous amount of meat. My favorite is their Pineapple Chicken, it is so delicious and the portion size will give you enough for 3 or more people or meals. Everything is so fresh and that means at the busy times you may have to wait, but we feel it is well worth the wait to have the quality of food. read more

Food is pretty good. Always a challenge ordering.However never go by their wait time. Seems like they tell you to show up and then they start preparing your meals which is disappointing. Also I specifically went over my order with them on pick up and of course got home and they shorted me a small fried rice.
