The food totally sucked. Everything is a la carte, so you have to pay for each individual thing. If two people dine and get a family style plate, there is only ONE bowl of rice. You have to pay to get more. You have to pay extra for soup or rice. I'm surprised they didn't charge for their fortune cookies! Maybe it's because my husband is Chinese and we're used to more authentic food. We moved here from a larger city (Denver) and they had some dang good food. I don't hate it...much better than the other options, but the sauces have an oddly sweet back note that seems all too prevalent with Americanized Chinese food. Portions per price are generous, but I wish they held truer to authentic flavors. That being said, it's better than Panda which has gone downhill with increased expansion. If it was possible to give out a zero it would definitely be for Peking. My friends and i have gone multiple times and the last time there was a hair in the food. Not just some small tiny hair, a decent size one..and what do they do? Not apologize, say it's not one of theirs. Then they go and tell her that they won't even comp the meal because she took a couple bites before she saw the gross specimen in her food. Then i saw someone else who found a piece of sharp metal wiring in HER FOOD! They still didn't do anything about it and made her still pay. It might have good food once in a blue moon but the customer service is beyond awful would not recommend to anyone. We ordered soup to take out and the styrofoam cup broke from the bottom and I had the entire large container leak from the plastic bag onto the floor of my car. When I called to speak to the manager, he/she was conveniently not there after I told the person whom took my call, of my situation. That person, became very defensive and said I need to come right back if I wanted a replacement order. I explained that I live 12 miles away, and she said " it was today only. I requested that the manager call me, and she abruptly said "no later than tomorrow" and hung up. What a terrible experience. Absolutely disgusting place...after only 3 bites, I found a hair in my food that clearly wasn't mine, waitress took it and didn't offer to replace it or remove it from the bill. When I spoke to the lady upfront she was horribly rude and made us wait 10 mins while she took money from five other guests, took a to go order and seated someone else before telling us they would only make another dish but not take the item off the the ticket, said it would 10 or 15 mins before it would be ready. This could have been done while we waited for her to service literally everyone else. I refused to wait so she was kind enough to take $4 off the ticket even though my meal was $12! Hours listed and menu prices are incorrect. Ordered vegetable chow mein with pot stickers and, although I can eat most anything and am never very picky, I could barely eat any of it. The chow mein was really more of a soup (see photo) that had no flavor. Pretty sure the pot stickers were frozen from the grocery store. Skip this restaurant! I would give zero stars for Peking Restaurant in Twin Falls if I could. The scallops in garlic sauce had over-cooked scallops that were rubbery. It contained garlic sauce that was so spicy that it made me throw up not once, but twice. Their cashew shrimp is bland and they don't portion their frozen shrimp (that are thawed and then over-cooked) in a generous fashion. This is probably a good thing in that the shrimp nor the scallops are very tasty. Their so-called fried rice is mushy and certainly not the crispy texture that it should be. Also, the fried rice has chewy, inedible bits of pork in it. I fed the bits of fried pork to my cat, but she wouldn't eat it. Smart cat! We have many other fine Chinese restaurants in Twin Falls to be enjoyed. . . .go try them instead. read more

Had the pea pods and shrimp dish and it was pretty bland and some what comparable to hospital food. I appreciate the fact it wasn't swimming in sodium but a little flavor would've been nice. I'm not a huge fan of wasting food but sadly I abandoned my left overs, couldn't think of a good way to salvage it. Presentation was good. Service very good. Very clean. We had sesame and orange chicken and beef chow mein. It was just not what I am used to in Livermore Ca. The orange chicken was very sweet with that marmalade taste and we did not care for it. The chow mein was really good with lots of beef. read more

It's nice and quiet here and the food is really great. Technically you could eat here for under 10$ as even on a Sunday night she asked if I wanted to order off the lunch menu and those are about 7$ a plate. It seems pretty authentic, as they write their orders in Chinese for the cooks... but I've never been to China so I don't know for sure. I've never had anything I didn't like here. Vegetables are fresh, the sauces aren't to thick or heavy but very flavorful. Staff is very nice and attentive. I've never had to wait a long time for seating or service. Peking House is probably the best Chinese restaurant in Twin Falls. I grew up in the Pacific Northwest and am a little picky about Chinese food. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is always friendly and prompt. My personal favorite is the lemon chicken dinner -- it has never disappointed me. Had a very bad experience here and will never be back. The fish tank in the front where you walk in is nasty murky water full of gross trash fish. Which puts a bad taste in your mouth immediately. If they can't keep the fish tank clean I don't even want to think about the kitchen. Ordered the seafood noodles which was my first mistake. I'm sure it was some fishy frozen seafood mix. Then the egg rolls are double fried and have a 3 inch layer of batter on them that takes longer to peel off then it does to eat the small eggroll hidden inside. Terrible. Won't be back. read more

Just Ok. I don't care for the fried rice. I wanted veggies today, ordered the bbq pork with assorted veggies. Should have ordered something else, but the hot mustard added to the dish & stirred made me want to finish the plate. Hot & Sour Soup was ok. Spring rolls were delicious. I was a couple minutes late for getting soup included with my meal. I should have asked how much they charge for a cup of soup. Looked like they charged me $3.45 for something that was free 10 minutes ago. The Crab Rangoon was really good. I had trouble hanging on to a menu. It was taken away each time someone walked by. I went back up front and fetched one twice. Second time I told them I didn't have any reading material and I LIKE to read menus! Good thing I did keep reading the menu or I wouldn't have tried the Crab Rangoon. I would have liked to have tried the egg rolls but I opted for the Spring Rolls.
