For a small takeout kitchen in an arden heights strip mall, this place cranks out solid food. Equal if not better than most sit down restaurants on the south shore. The place in the hylan shopping center and the one in the mall are tops but peking taste is close and at a fraction of the price. Ordered around 430 it was delivered in 30 mins precisely to what the girl taking orders told me. I ordered chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and a wonton soup (which they charge 75 cents more for by the way) and a pint of lo mein. Based on the other recent reviews I can't understand why they think so poorly of this place. The chicken and broccoli was delicious and delivered hot I mean mouth burning from the broccoli. The rice was also good. The wonton soup broth was tasty like a real beef broth not those water based wonton soups and they give you 4 wontons. The lo mein I ordered plain and even for plain it was excellent I love Chinese food In fact 75% of my yelp reviews are based on Chinese. So give this place a try! read more

I'm a real lover of the cuisine of the East and Peking Taste hits the spot. When I'm on the South Shore, I make it I always like to pick up a soup or (usually AND) some lo mein. Their soups are great especially wonton egg drop. Their roast pork ends are the best though. So delicious. Their prices are reasonable for the location and the quality. They have lunch specials and some, like the vegetarian entrees or lo mein, are $5. Others are more, of course, but it's nice to get lunch for under 5 bucks. Can't eat it everyday but it's a treat. Quality has gone down considerably over the past 10 years. Been ordering takeout from Arden Ave store since late 90's and it has really changed. The food is a lot more greasy and doesn't have the flavors it used to have. The portions are loaded with sauce and short on meat. The seafood dishes smell fishy and again have little flavor. I miss ordering good take out Chinese as the places are limited. I really liked this place over the years and it has really disappointed me. Being that I'm chinese, and I grew up eating chinese food (or just food, as I would call it, lol) There are times when I'm craving authentic chinese food from chinatown, but due to the distance between me and what seems like the other side of the world, I come to PT and look for my girl Cindy behind the counter. I recently tried Peking Taste by delivery at my dad's house since he lives close to this Arden location. I am SUPER picky about Chinese food and their food is pretty tasty. We ordered fried rice, white rice, egg rolls, chicken & broccoli, BBQ spareribs and dumplings. I tasted everything I really enjoyed it. I like my spareribs well done with burnt tips and they were cooked to perfection. The egg rolls had little bits of shrimp and the dumplings weren't too oily. They gave a bunch of fortune cookies to with our order so I was happy. read more

She was very young, but thats no excuse to cut a customer off mid-sentence and roll her eyes and huff and puff as she's taking my order!!! I will never go back just on that ALONE.
