Wonderful fishing day with my girls from work! First we booked our trip online, recvd email and text confirmations right away. The day before the trip we received additional reminders both from Pelican Adventures and TripShock by text and email which was wonderful because it gave me time to map out their location and plan for traffic. Parking was free in thier lot the day we went which was nice since everyone else was charging like $10 a car. Check in was a breeze. Before boarding the boat we recvd safety instructions from Capt Anthony. Boading was easy for us, but there are 3 huge steps to climb up and then 2 more to climb down to board the boat which may not be easy for someone with knee problems. Once on board, we found a nice spot on the side. We were able to easily store our stuff under a bench seat. Each group gets a red cooler to put their fish in that is numbered. This is nice and different from other party boats where they usually use laundry baskets and put your fish on stringers. The three deckhands came around and checked on everyone. The boat was very clean and the crew were wearing masks. Each group of people on the boat got their own instructional meeting on how to bait and use the rods from a deckhand. Travel time was over 2 hours to our first stop. Our group of ladies caught some nice keepers of white snapper, mingo and almaco jacks. We had fun catching some triggerfish and undersized red snapper that had to be thrown back. The capt moved the boat several times to put us on good spots. Our bait bucket was never empty and our deckhands, Andrea and Dakota always took our catch off the hooks for us. We had a ton of unforgettable fun and appreaciated laying in the air conditioned cabin after slaying all the fish in our alloted time. First of all I am not going to say anything bad about the crew on the boat we were on. They worked hard and were amazing. The crew members that helped us were Josh and Cameron. Good guys and very nice. The captain on the other hand was not any of the above. He seemed a little pushy as soon as we all got there. Once we finally arrived at the fishing location (1st of many) he started snapping at the crew over the loud speaker in a very unprofessional way. We would fish for 10 minutes and then he would tell us to reel them in so he could reposition. this happened at least 10 times. Very little fishing. I am from Texas and have been deep sea before and never have we moved near this much. He left his wheel house windows open the entire time and water got on his laptop and fried it. So instead of chalking it up to BEING IN THE OCEAN he came out and started to raise his voice at the people paying for this trip. He was blaming the customers for breaking his laptop. There were 4 in my group and we only had 2 fish that were keepers. I think out of 60 people on the boat there were only 20 keepers that were brought back to shore. Worst trip ever and I do not recommend this fishing company to anyone. Move on down the dock to another company and actually catch some fish. read more

Parasailing- We had an amazing adventure parasailing with captain Chris & Skipper Amber this morning! They were super friendly, safe & fun! Amber, helped calm my daughters nerves & Chris, gave us great advice on where to eat fresh fish & some history on local places! We will be requesting them for our next sea adventure! 10:30am. Snorkeling- We had a sad mix up & we're double booked for a private snorkeling boat today at 1:30pm. This could have been horrible but instead the staff went above & beyond to make both family's happy. Captain Georgina, gave our family directions to drive and park at the Jetty's. she met us on the water from her boat & gave us a snorkeling lesson & had all equipment available for our family! She supplied us with absolutely everything we needed to still enjoy the ocean advenature! She even gave us fish food to increase our chances of seeing them! Truly made a beautiful day for our family when she could have just said, "nope sorry can't help ya" she is our angel of the day! First and foremost, the spirit of excellence and professionalism was simply paragon. Jay reassured our safety and extreme comfort, during one of the most excoriating times of our life due to the loss of our son. As our turn came to go up & when we ascended into the heavens we both screamed our son's name, Logan we love you and released his Ashes high in the air. Overcome with emotions and love with great tears of joy we knew this is what he would want because he loved parasailing. after going up we descended into the sea of our tears as we refreshingly dipped into the ocean ... and then once again back to the heavens. Everyone from "Jenn" at the window who took our reservation, the updates via text and finally the deckhands and captain were super friendly and helpful. The whole fishing crew was on top of it, ( A shout out to Jordan), and the captain did a great job with holding the boat still while we fished. Not like others where the captain is constantly moving the boat and causing lines to tangle and then blaming the "alleged sharks ", every time we drop lines. The fishing was o.k., but they cant catch them for you too. It was one of the best fishing excursion I have been on even thou it was only a 1/2 day trip. I also caught the biggest fish on the boat and won the boat pot, which I gave to the crew for all the hard work. I would of given 5 stars but the fish weren't very helpful that day. read more

What a true delight! The captain and his first mate Brayden, were honestly the greatest down to earth people I have ever met while here on vacation. We vacation sometimes twice a year, at least once. They were very friendly, helpful, witty, and funny. They made things very comfortable and pleasant and joy to be around. This was our first experience parasailing. We couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. We paid for extra photos, and I have to say, I only expected maybe a couple of pictures. We were given a disc with several pictures available to us. When we took to CVS to print them off, we were definitely surprised to find how many great photos that they had taken. It was my first time with Pelican adventures during my first vacation to Destin Florida with my family and I had such a good experience! I've never thought about going snorkeling until my sister talked me into doing it and I'm so glad I did. The people working from the front desk to the ones on the boat were so friendly. The snorkeling experience was so interesting seeing all the different fish and finding hermit crabs and shells. I've never been a fan of fish but none of them seemed to bother me and I never saw any fish that were to Intimidating to swim around. I do wish we would have gone to spots with more clear water but where we went was still very enjoyable and I would totally go back again! read more

This was my first trip like this out of Destin and I have to say I really enjoyed it. From booking the trip to directions and check in, the staff was always pleasant and helpful. I booked a 6 hour trip aboard the Anticipation. The captain and first mate "Darren" were knowledgable, friendly and great to fish with. They put us on some good spots for fish and we caught our fair share (Amber Jacks, Triggers, White Snappers, Bonita and (Red Snapper not in season, had to release). I did not give it 5 stars because the boat was a little slow and it took longer to get to the fishing spots. However, I would absolutely recommend Pelican Adventures and will book my next trip with them later this year. read more

My husband and I visited Florida for a week, we wanted to get out and do something different since it was just the two of us for a change(no kids). We found the ad in a coupon book for 1/2 off and when I called to check prices the lady said we could do 1/2 off both parasailing and smoring so we figured why not !! The parasailing is fun very relaxing but for the time your up in the air it's not really worth what you pay, but it's nice to say we tried it, and the snorkeling was alot of fun we thought we weren't gonna like it but we really enjoyed it a lot!! Only tip is men need to shave first or you won't get a good seal with their goggles. Overall a great adventure. read more

Just went parasailing recently for the first time as a family with Pelican Adventures. They were the only business open who offered parasailing during December (beware: others had websites up and running for booking but were closed for the season). All staff (booking,checking in, crew) were efficient, friendly and very professional. Captain Jeff and Braden made everyone feel comfortable and ensured a great time. We were on the last trip of the day and although they must have been tired, they were energetic and very pleasant. Thanks guys for a job well done! 10/10, would really recommend. We went parasailing for the first time and the experience was awesome. Lee did a great job driving and navigating while also getting the passengers to have fun, and Ashley did a really amazing job as well. She had such a good vibe and made the passengers of the boat have a blast, me and my brother especially. She was super nice and did a great job explaining how everything works, she also recommended a bunch of places to eat and was overall very charismatic. Soaring above the ocean with Jay and Mason was nothing short of unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, their energy was contagious -- equal parts chill and professional. We went parasailing with Griff and Nico and let me tell you what, i've been once before to another company and this one topped it tremendously. Our time to pick up and go out was 10:30am and at 10:30am sharp they were there for us. Griff and Nico are very friendly and made the whole experience a lot more relaxed and entertaining. On top of that Pelican Adventures actually has a good amount of parking unlike its competitors. Would definitely recommend to everyone. Pelican Adventures will not disappoint! We went to Destin, Fl to celebrate my niece's 11th birthday. She was first timer for alot of the adventures we did. We did snorkling and seashell excursion in addition to parasailing!!!! The crew was the bomb.com!! They kept it fun and most importantly safe for all!!. We literally booked the night before. It was about a 8min car ride from where we were staying to Pelican Adventures. Pelican Adventures is located right on the Harbor board walk. It cant get more perfect than that! Booking was easy, personelle was friendly. When we got out on the boat the captain Jeff got us out of the pass with ease. We never felt unsafe out on the water and Jeff and Jay-Jay worked hard to give us a great parasailing flight. They cut up and made the whole experience fun for everyone even though they had just met and worked together for the first time that day! They dunked us gently and we laughed our heads off. We paid for a photo package and can't wait to get home and check out the photos. Thanks for a great time! Our group of six reserved about a week in advance for Friday morning trip in the off-season in early May. Even though Pelican didn't meet its minimum shared size of eight, they took us out on the six hour shared charter trip on the Anticipation. We caught our limit on mingos, also caught several red snappers which would have been keepers if the season were open and several triggers and an amberjack that were a 1/2" too small.Captain was great and the deck hand worked his tail off keeping us baited with lines in the water. This was my 2nd shared charter with Pelican and I'm looking forward to my next. read more

Went parasailing with my two daughters. The captain and deckhand, Mason and Spencer, were professional but easy going as well. The lady who checked us in was polite and courteous. Had a blast, my daughters saw at least one dolphin and several fish, but it was amazing how peaceful it was when up in the air. Only negative thing I have to say is we were booked for an earlier trip that had to be cancelled due to some personal reasons, but were offered a later trip with free photo package, so I have no issues with it, didn't have anything else planned. Will go again if we make it back to Destin. read more
