Great Bar & Appetizer scene. Children's Menu is wonderful and reasonably priced! Nice, albeit limited, dinners entrees too. Excellent service!

    Cool outdoor bar and seating!

9/6/21: We stopped in the Pelican Club for drinks. I understand this used to be the Wave Bar. It's right in back of the Kelley House. We ordered Midnight Lemonade Mocktails. Mocktails were delicious! :D Service was excellent. Just looking around, the crowd appeared to be very chic. There was very lively music in the background. Place had a real tropical vibe and was really hopping! Definitely plan to return on my next visit to Martha's Vineyard.

Salmon ceviche and drinks (mock and real) were solid and entrees were spectacular. The cod dish on the menu with whipped potatoes is a must have. The new location not as quaint as old house but it's bigger and in the pitch it still has the homey feel. A must stop for us each year on the vineyard.

The next thing you'll notice is that the staff is very friendly and really trying to manage the chaos that is being caused by a chaotic kitchen. We were seated directly in-front of the kitchen, so we saw everything: - two or three wait staff anxiously waiting for orders in front of the service station (pick-up) area; - a chef continually looking at an inappropriate movie that was playing on a screen that was oddly positioned where the kitchen staff could view it (WHY) - a kitchen staff that was either doing nothing or working frantically - this is an indication of very poor management; - mediocre appetizers but passable - the entrées were ridiculously poor. I'll only describe mine to save time, but trust each of four were failures. The nerve to send to the table a beautiful piece of blue fin tuna that smelled like the gas used by a small propane gun, that had been partially burned - like on 1/2 of the fish. This shows zero respect for this beautiful creature or the people who ordered it. The lobster risotto that was beneath the fish was cold, lacked any flavor of lobster, and looked as though it had been thrown on the plate from across the room, and then to have the nerve to charge $60 + dollars is ridiculous. We of course requested to speak with the manager, who immediately came to our table, empathized and apologized, we felt heard. He then comped our entire meal which was very generous and appreciated. The chef then came over to apologize, and stated, "I'm so sorry, we dropped a pan and that threw everything off". WHAT? Buddy, we sat there and watched the chaos in your kitchen. The problemS, are not the result of a dropped pan. Apology appreciated, lame excuse was unnecessary and again demonstrated a lack of respect or intelligence. I may return alone, just to see if anything has changed or what show is on the TV.

The booth we were in was super comfortable. The restaurant definitely has an upscale but approachable atmosphere. The oysters and the fresh fish appetizers were amazing. We started with the lobster and caviar Hawaiian roll, which was flavorful and delicious. The grilled octopus served over pork and white beans was another standout--the flavor profile here was top tier. Honestly, the appetizers had me expecting the rest of the meal to be on the same level. Unfortunately, the entrées were a different story. The rack of lamb was cooked perfectly temperature-wise, but the lack of seasoning was unbelievable. The execution was there, but it desperately needed flavor. We also ordered the halibut, which was extremely dry--to the point that I couldn't finish it. The sides brought things back around. The jalapeño corn and Brussels sprouts were both and packed with flavor. And then there was the Filthy Dirty Rich Martini with caviar-stuffed olives --AMAZING. Easily one of the highlights of the night and something I would absolutely order again. Overall, 19 Raw nails the ambiance, cocktails, appetizers, and service. The appetizers in particular showed just how good the kitchen can be, which made the disappointing entrées even more surprising. I'd come back, but next time I might stick to cocktails, appetizers, and small plates.

I finally got a chance to dine there with a friend during my most recent visit in late May and I was really delighted. The service was friendly and our waitress gave helpful recommendations on the menu but the food delivery was on the slower side. For dinner we shared the sweet potato rolls, smokes cauliflower, bolognese and the halibut. Favorite dish was far and away the smoked cauliflower. It was absolutely outstanding. The flavors and textures were perfection. The halibut and the pasta were also both great. Cannot wait to come back and try their other veggie dishes, mushroom ragu and pork chop which also looked very tempting.

We shared some apps and the halibut special which was amazing and HUGE. The five of us shared this incredible special. The fish was perfectly cooked and the accompanying potatoes, salad and aioli were perfect! This was our first time there, we have been to the Port Hunter before. We will definitely come back!!
