Love this place! You feel like you're in the Caribbean. They have the best wings in Massachusetts! We love the Jamaican Jerk Wings. The fish is amazing too. I usually get the fish sandwich and tonight I tried the Mahi Mahi Tacos.

Waitress was not as pleasant as I expected and utensils needed some cleaning. She also refused to give me a new set when asked. Other than that you can't beat the specials!! $25 off of lobster Tuesdays and lobster roll Mondays are a plus. Seating is limited so get there early!

Been coming here for many years and the Wings and Fried seafood never disappoint! Whole bellies were too hot to pick up when they got to the table. Absurdly delicious... Wings and a beer (great selection.) Don't expect anything fancy and focus on the things they're known for.

Coop de Ville - A Hidden Gem in Oak Bluffs If you're looking for the real Martha's Vineyard experience, skip the tourist traps and head straight to Coop de Ville. This waterfront treasure in Oak Bluffs is everything you want in a local hangout: incredible food, unbeatable views, and the kind of warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in. Best Wings on the Island - Hands down. Crispy, saucy, and addictive. Whether you're into classic Buffalo or something with a twist, Coop nails it every time. Stuffies and Crab Cakes - Absolute standouts. The stuffies (stuffed quahogs) are packed with flavor and perfectly seasoned, and the crab cakes are golden, tender, and loaded with fresh crab. No filler, no fuss--just pure coastal goodness. The View - You're right on the harbor, watching boats drift by as the sun sets. It's the kind of backdrop that makes every bite taste better. Easily the best view on the island. Better Prices Than the Lookout Tavern - And frankly, better food. Coop de Ville doesn't gouge you like some of the more touristy spots. You get quality, quantity, and value--all without the crowds or the attitude. Local Vibe - This is where the locals go, and it shows. The staff are friendly, laid-back, and genuinely happy to see you. Whether you're a regular or a first-timer, they treat you like one of their own. No frills, no pretense--just great food, great people, and a killer view. Coop de Ville is a 5-star must-visit for anyone who wants to experience the Vineyard the way it's meant be!

Stopped by for lunch with a big group. They were very accommodating and found us a few tables for us to sit together. The servers were also very attentive and prompt. The seating area was covered and had a great view of the harbor and feels very much like what you would expect from a harbor side bar and grill. We ordered some wings, fried clams, fried shrimp, fried pickles, and onion rings. You can't go wrong with fried poultry and seafood. Everything was nicely battered and flavorful. The wings had a good amount of heat, but the suicide was a bit lacking since I was expecting more burn. The shrimps were plump, tender, and cooked just right. The whole belly clams were also nicely fried. All in all, it was fun place to grab some lunch by the harbor.

The servers here are amazing. Super friendly and accommodating of my dietary needs as a person with Celiac disease that needs to eat gluten free. The server pointed out all the safe items I could have on the menu and ensured I had a great meal. The atmosphere is always lively and it's a great spot to people watch on the pier. I always go back for the Lobster fest specials and have been coming here for the last 5 years. The quality is always consistent although the lobster size is always a bit of a gamble! Well worth it!

We stopped here for lunch today while we were on a tour at Martha's Vineyard. This place was recommended to us by our tour guide. The food was Ok. But the SERVICE was AWFUL. We were rushed to order. We were given an attitude by our server when we were deciding what to drink and also at the time to place our order. We decided not to tip our server. The restaurant is small with outdoor tables. The view is beautiful.

I recently dined at Coop de Ville in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts with my wife and son after a day trip on Martha's Vineyard. I must say that the service left much to be desired. While the ambiance and food were quite enjoyable, the overall experience was marred by the impolite, bordering on rudeness of our waiter. We were trying to decide which meal to order and he was very impatient with us; at one point saying "Come on you guys; OK, let's make this simple." On several occasions we thanked him and not one time did he acknowledge it in some way. I hope the management takes this feedback constructively and considers providing more training and support to their service staff to ensure all customers have a positive dining experience. I hope that the service improves and matches the quality of their food and ambiance.

Crowded for weekly lobster special day in the summer but awesome experience! Very casual ambiance with a waterfront view.

I rarely write yelp reviews but I'm compelled to shout out Coop de Ville. Their Lobster Fest poster at the Oak Bluffs info booth lured us in for lunch. We had a large group of 5 children (ages 4-11) and 5 adults (ages 40-71) and they accommodated us immediately under the tent, when we arrived before noon. Jennifer was our server and she is amazing!! She took care of us so well, along with the other tables in her section. You may imagine the chaos of lunch with so many kids but it was one of our highlights of our MV day trip (and Cape Cod trip in general). We ordered 3 steamed lobsters, fried scallops basket (huge and delicious), cheeseburger, tuna melt, fried clams basket, several bowls of chowder, and kids' mac & cheese. Also lemonades and several beers. Everyone was happy with their food, and the temperature of the food & portion size (that is tough with a large group). Another shout out to Jennifer, who was so sweet and friendly to us. We hope to come back again to try the wings!

True island experience. This place is popping! Open air, near the water, great times. This is a must visit when in Oak Bluffs. We were seated at the bar within 5 minutes. People on the island will tell you - get the belly not the strips! And I did exactly that. The clam belly did not disappoint. It is priced "market price" ($26) and you get fried clam belly with fries and tartar sauce. My friend got a scallop roll with fries ($20) and was very happy with it. Our food came out fast, the servers were extremely nice, and the food tasted like the ocean! What else do you need? The restrooms are only accessible via code, so you do need to ask your server for it. Other than that, wonderful experience!

This is a carry-out only restaurant, and they allow you to place orders ahead for pickup. My friend and I walked in and both ordered the oxtail dinner, and I also ordered a side of plantains. The oxtail came with a healthy side of cabbage and rice and peas. The flavor on the oxtail was very bland, and the meat itself was somehow both fatty and tough. The rice and peas, cabbage, and plantain were both okay. I don't see myself coming back again, but if I did, I would stick to the fried chicken, as that seems to be a popular item.

Lol But I went with it. We called the order in while we were lounging on the beach for pick up. This is a pick-up only spot as I didn't see anywhere to sit and eat. Items ordered were the Oxtails, Thai Salmon, Blackened Shrimp. My friend that ordered the blackened shrimp was the only one disappointed. The oxtails were amazing and tender. I paid .75 for a side of Jerk sauce. The peas/rice were a bit dry; but the jerk sauce helped. I even had leftovers for the next day. I also got the coffee drink with Vanilla & Bailey's, I think it was called "Jamaican me Crazy" That was a bit disappointing because they just handed us a cup with ice for us to pour ourselves. I was hoping for freshly brewed.

The restaurant is so cozy, the service is always quick and friendly, they have an outstanding tequila selection and the food is tremendous. I went with a big group of girlfriends on Wednesday night so we were able to sample a plethora of dishes from the current menu and let me tell you, they all slapped. We had the taleggio agnolotti, rabbit pappardelle, sunchokes, foccacia, halibut, scallops, pork schnitzel and duck leg cassoulet. Truly all of the food was outstanding but my favorites were the cassoulet, rabbit pasta and the halibut. The pork was good but do note that it is a positively enormous amount of food! We were so full that we almost skipped dessert but we had to try just a couple of things so we ordered the Dubai chocolate ice cream and the sticky toffee pudding which were both great but the ice cream was the favorite. Ordered some drinks and relaxed. The Jasmine Blossom was refreshing and tasty. The old fashioned was your run of the mill old fashioned with essence of burnt butter taste to it. For apps, we had the half a dozen local oysters and the Hamachi Crudo. The oysters were tasty and fresh! I think the sauce was house made and I really wished I ordered a full dozen. The hamachi was fresh too! The honeydew was a bit underripe but all the other components were amazing. Oh we also got some focaccia bread. The bread is skippable, was not a fan. For our mains we had the gnocchi and scallops! The gnocchi came piping hot. Chunks of octopus spread throughout. Seasoned well, great texture. Gnocchi cooked just right. The real star was the scallops dish! Beautiful dish. Each scallop cooked in buttery goodness. Sitting on delicious sauce. The maitake mushrooms were cooked to perfection. Good crust and flavors. For dessert we shared the grapenut ice cream. Light essence of smoked maple flavor. Lots of crunch with the cereal. More crunch than ice cream. Service was a bit slow but very helpful and informative of dish options. Tasting menu available.
