I enjoyed this winery when we visited. We arrived there shortly after they opened their tasting room. We didn't need a reservation luckily, but I recommend making one. It's locally owned and warm and welcoming vibe. Service was great and informative. They serve a mean Zin, "Zinstar". Service was great. They were out when we were there. We enjoyed their CTZ'N and we brought home a bottle of their Estate Chardonnay. We throughly enjoyed the beautiful views at this estate and our bottle of Zin. I cannot wait for my next trip back here.

Small local winery with a large story to tell. 1. One of the few in Lodi who has credentialed CCOF Organic Certified 2. Small production, falls into the "Boutique" Winery category 3. Almost 50 years old; they opened in 1978 with some robust zins! 4. I recommend reservations. 5. Make it a point to learn about the efforts made by Vintner and Winemaker for their field, crop and production 6. Zinfandel A MUST (Hint-in their storage room which is part of the wine tour is a table filled with each year they produced their Zins; going back to 1978 Mary Lou our hostess explained how Lucas Winery came to be and where they are today. Long story short? I joined their wine club (for one, you will be hard pressed to get Lucas wine on the retail front) and I can't wait to return and visit with Mary Lou Logistics? 30 minutes south of Sacramento by car 2 hours north from SFO by car 5.5 hours north east by plane and car from Honolulu #flyforwine #flyforfun #yelpfriends #lucaswinery

If you're looking for a place that blends elegance with earthy charm, Lucas Winery is it. I recently celebrated a dear friend's birthday there, and let me tell you--it was the kind of day that makes you want to bottle the moment and label it "joy." From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel like honored guests, not just another party on the books. The setting was intimate and warm, with just enough rustic beauty to remind you that wine is a craft, not just a drink. Our private space felt tucked away but still connected to the heart of the vineyard--perfect for laughter, toasts, and a few heartfelt speeches. The tasting was a highlight. Each pour came with a story, and the staff clearly knew their grapes. We sampled everything from crisp whites to bold reds, and every glass felt like a love letter to Lodi's winemaking legacy. The ZinStar Zinfandel? A standout. Smooth, rich, and just rebellious enough to match our birthday energy. After the tasting, we wandered the vineyard--rows of vines stretching into the horizon, the kind of view that makes you slow down and breathe deeper. It wasn't just scenic; it was grounding. There's something about walking through the very soil that grows your wine that makes the whole experience feel more personal. Lucas Winery gave us more than a party--it gave us a memory. Thoughtful service, exceptional wine, and a setting that felt like a hug from nature. Whether you're celebrating a milestone or just craving a meaningful escape, this place delivers.

Stopped by on our way to Jessie's Grove for a Harvest Host stay. The owner greeted us out front with his dog and he was friendly and inviting. We didn't have a reservation but it was a Thursday so it was quiet. The tasting room is nicely decorated and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The wines were good and Marylou, our host, was so nice. Definitely a great wine tasting experience!

Lovely location and great service! It's fun to be a member here especially their release parties. Dog friendly and kid friendly also. Clean bathroom and easy parking.

Such a quaint winery. My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. The tasting room experience was different than most wineries. We were taken around the vineyards and wine cellar while given the history. It really was a cool experience.

Little snack we got with our visit.

I enjoyed Lucas Winery, had a wonderful time with my girlfriend whom is a member, and this was my first time Winetasting. I got to taste several different wines, two we really liked but went home with 6 bottles with her club perks. Staff was super friendly, atmosphere is Old barn type, flowers and pictures of the history of the winery and owner. I look forward going back.

Referred by another winery, not realizing they were only open to members and those with appointments during that period, we were thrilled that Glo offered to take us in -- not only for a tasting but provided the full 30-35 minute tour, too! The reasonable $10 fee provided 4 selected tastes, the tour, and our attractive tasting glasses. Glo's passion and enthusiasm resulted in a very educational and enjoyable tour. We left with: 2015 Estate Chardonnay, $42 (delightfully unique chardonnay) 2016 C'T'Z'N, $47

Wow! My new favorite winery! The wine, the service, the atmosphere all 5 stars! Mary Lou gave my friend and I an amazing visit! Gave us a detailed tour, love the back story. Just a wonderful day, just when I thought it couldn't get any better ended with an amazing port and chocolate. Plus the adorable coasters that are wildflower seeds that u can plant!! Can't wait for my family to visit so I can take them here!! Highly recommend!!

What a great, intimate wine tasting experience!! We stumbled upon Lucas Winery and were warmly greeted. We went ahead and did the wine tasting for $20, and our guide had great recommendations. We got a cheese/cracker box that was soo yummy. The service was great and quick, and our guide made recommendations based on our preferences. They play relaxing music, and this is a great quaint place to go for a chill, wine tasting day. I would definitely come back. Vibes 10/10

We were quickly greeted by the friendly female hostess who offered us either indoor or outdoor seating. We chose to sit indoors to enjoy our tastings of both whites & reds . Normally I prefer reds however in the summer I enjoy a crisp Sauvangion Blanc or even a nice Rose. If you purchase a bottle your tasting fee is waived which is always a great deal. We enjoyed ourselves so much we returned for the Alpine Block party event which included tastings at Stonum Vineyards and two other nearby wineries. This fun filled evening included live music, food trucks, and the Lodi Wine trolley shuttling you back & forth between the wineries. Definitely a good time! I highly recommend Stonum Vineyards & Tasting Room for great wine, friendly service and well coordinated, entertaining events.

I had driven by many times and it seemed like an appointment only place but I guess now they have enough staffing to open up the hours and days of the week. First, their reputation has always been very good. They've had some recognition from some reputable wine sources so I had very high expectations for the wine. In, short, the wines were very good. They had a nice selection from rose to the more Lodi styled red wines. I really did enjoy all the wines and the price point seems fair. I guess I was kinda hoping to meet the winemaker, learn more about their vineyards and purpose for growing certain varietals. When you get wine with a story it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. I really like this place and I'm hoping to make a stronger connection with the business since I consider myself an advocate for Lodi wines since my hobby is to compare our wines with the best out in the other regions of CA. Pretty heavy competition but so far Lodi is more than able to compete with certain types of wines aka Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Syrah and occasionally Cabernet.

Last weekend on a trip to Sacramento, I finally had a chance to stop by their Olive Mill and Winery. There is a nice sparking clean outdoor patio with picnic tables within a few steps from the olive oil grove but it was a bit hot that day so we opted to sit inside. In addition to the olive oil tasting set, there were some brunch items such as a crostini and salad as well as a Mediterranean plate with hummus. We opted for the crostini, olive oil tasting and a cappuccino. The jalapeño olive oil was unique and flavorful enough that we bought a couple bottles of it to take home. The pear vinaigrette was thick and tangy. The waitresses were friendly and helpful when we had a couple questions about the dishes. The shelves in the shop area is full of flavored olive oils and vinaigrette as well as ceramic and a whole slew of items for serving charcuterie. If you are a fan of olive oil and are planning on a trip up to Sacramento or Lake Tahoe, would definitely recommend stopping by to check out Calivirgin.

The winery grounds are stunning, with plenty of seating areas to relax, enjoy wine, and take in the scenery. Everything is thoughtfully designed so you can spend the entire day there without needing to leave. The bakery selection was a highlight. They had an impressive variety, from full-size pies to single slices, along with cookies and brownies. The apricot items stood out during our visit, and the chocolate chip cookies and brownies were especially delicious. The persimmon cookie was unique and unforgettable. For food, a barbecue food truck was catering the pickup party. The burger they served was fantastic, and the brisket was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It came with a really good potato salad and fresh watermelon that paired perfectly with the winery's reds. Our favorite wine of the day was the Earthquake red--bold, rich, and perfect with the heavier foods. There was also live music, perfect weather, and a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and everything was clean and well maintained. The gardens were in full bloom, offering beautiful photo spots--especially the sunflowers and fountains scattered throughout the property. Overall, it's the kind of place you can spend an entire day at--starting with a morning visit and easily staying through lunch and into the late afternoon.
