They keep a large bag on the side cutting each customers fish stealing from you to resell your fish gaining a profit
    Jean F.

As usual, they never disappoint. I had friends coming over. I decided to purchase them some fish. I didn't want any. It was Friday. It's my fault. I should not be going in there. I ordered four pieces of fish. Of course they waited and ordered a large fry. they charged me $15 I paid it. I watched them take the fish and start cutting it and I asked them. Why are you cutting it and putting the other extra pieces back into the deli case so we had to start all over again four pieces and a whole different price and he was playing with the scale pretending to put it on a different price. You know how they do it, etc. etc. so I just went ahead and paid for it. There are nothing but a complete rip off Company they barely have any customers. I wish I could support them since they're around the corner from my house, but they refuse to be honest they are very dishonest and who in their right mind would put Fish in a deli case and then keep putting bags and bags of it right in the deli case it makes absolutely no sense. Their ethic of business is unprofessional and complete rip off.

Sow a reel on IG and HAD TO GO!!! This place reminds me of how they fry fish down in Louisiana. The use of cornmeal and seasonings is perfect!! Service was great even though it was super busy. Most get their food to go. There isn't much seating. We were lucky and got a table. Our order was complete and made to order. Just wish they had a valley location. Can't wait to return

French fries with random onion rings thrown in.

Ordered a six-piece fish and four jumbo shrimp combo. Three Catfish and three Orange Roughy, which came with fried and two onion rings. I'm not sure why they threw the onion rings in. The onion rings were decent, but I have had much better. I would never order a full serving of onion rings, but I believe you get one or two with a combo. All of the food was fresh and good.

I love when I find a good fried fish spot! I happened to be in the area... super hungry so I decided to give it a try. Located in a small shopping center (next to 7-11). No wait at all. I placed an order (combo 17) which comes with fried fish of your choice (I got red snapper) and shrimp. You can pick your sides I got macaroni salad and fries and each combo comes with 2 hush puppies. The food was amazing a well seasoned. Once I placed my order I waited about 7 minutes and my food was ready! Piping hot and fresh to order. My only small complaint.... I love cocktail sauce with seafood and they mix theirs with hot sauce. I prefer regular cocktail... I will definitely visit again.

Ayoooo!!' Was craving some old school fish and chips. That is what exactly it is. i ordered the lunch combo of 2 piece fish and shrimps. Comes with Fries and 1 side, i got the Mac Salad. Fish and Shrimp were decent only thing that bothered me were there sauces. packet tartar sauce and some hot sauce / Horseradish sauce. If they had better sauces and offered malt Vin it would elevate the food. Large parking lot, few seats inside and cards are accepted. Come check out this Place

Stopped by with my kids and we were pleasantly surprised! We ordered the popular #22 combo, which came with a generous mix of fish, shrimp, oysters, scallops, and classic sides like coleslaw, mac, and potato salad. Everything was hot, crispy, and super flavorful. The portions are big, the service was friendly, and even my little ones loved their fries and onion rings. Great family-owned spot if you're craving a classic fish fry. Definitely worth adding to your seafood list!

one of the few good fish fry places i have been able to find the red snapper was so good i teared up a bit. the restaurant was clean and a good place to dine in, and the service was amazing. i like my fried fish prepared a certain way and the chef answered all the questions i had about how the catfish is prepped. the menu had a good amount of variety as well which i was happy to see. their fried oysters were also delicious, this is the only place i have been able to find good fried oysters at besides boiling crab. i highly recommend this place to anyone who likes fried fish.

This is one of my favorite places to get fish and fries in LA. I came in on 3-22-25 around 8:30pm to get some dinner. I ordered my personal favorite which is the catfish dinner with fries. They are not shy about the abundance of catfish you get per order and it is the same each and every time I order. The staff are very nice and friendly and thankful for your business. It was busy that night with a number of people ordering food so they know how good the place is. You can dine in if you choose but parking can be a challenge. Great place with great food and the late hours are great which they close at 10pm.

Shrimp about the size of a hush puppy. Not what I'm used to from Penguins. Guess it's a sign of the times :(

Been coming here for decades and usually love love love it. This time I ordered a combo fish and shrimp lunch box and was dismayed to find that the shrimp were super small. NOT what I expected from a place I've love for so many years. I should have opened the box just to see since I noticed all new employees . I should have suspected the menu was changed but I didn't expect the shrimps to be so small. I'll go back and see if they still have the jumbo shrimp and let you know. I also noticed the coleslaw tasted different. Not as sweet as before. *Sigh* I have usually been delighted to travel to the city and visit Penguins. This time, not so much.

Lunch combos are served with a simple green salad, fries, and 2 slices of wheat bread or a dinner roll -- all for a nominal price of $15. The cornmeal battered fish & shrimp were perfectly fried. The friendly staff brought my food, along with five sauces: chili oil, hot sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and tartar sauce. They also provided packets of salt, fitting for the restaurant's name. The food was served piping hot, so be careful! It's fried in a tempura-style batter, which is quite heavy. I found the shrimp to have a small meat-to-batter ratio, but the fish was the star. I recommend drenching your fries in vinegar and dipping the fish in a combination of hot sauce and tartar sauce - it's delicious!

Where to get a legit fish 'n chips on da west-side? Pretty much only at the King's Head. Want more English fare? Scotch eggs, Bangers and Mash, steak Guinness mushroom pie, pasties, lamb are all Kings Head staples. And when Sticky Toffee Pudding is on offer, it's a must order. What about a spot of traditional afternoon tea? Here you can get it almost every day: selection of finger sandwiches, scones, jam, authentic recipe Devonshire cream, biscuits and of course tea. Don't bother with finding that bougie hotel in Beverly for fancy tea, just bring your party to Yee Oldee. There's a reason this down-to-earth place with friendly staff is still going strong. Huzzah Ye Olde King's Head! Grand pub... grand grub.

A nice pub experience, just what you wanted given the signage and area. Nice place to eat outside…read moreand watch the sunset. Reasonable range of pub beers, including their own ale which I think was great. I like buffalo chicken with extra buffalo sauce at a place like this. Theirs had a great thick breading. Only 2 objections: 1. One piece of chicken was undercooked, I'm guessing it went into the fryer frozen. Obviously that's not what anyone wants. But I understand mistakes happen, took a star off. 2. Not their fault but the Santa Monica PD were teaching 5 by constantly to do absolutely nothing, Santa Monica I found you a budget savings. Constant revving and sirens to just make another lap. Not the restaurant's fault just wanted to give readers a heads up if they're looking for a romantic night or can't do loud. Overall I'd go back for sunset, especially after some budget trimming.

Wow the flavor combination was insane, and it was different than other tuna salads I've had. I highly recommend trying it. We also got two drinks which were deliciouss!! Pro tip: I really recommend coming here for drinks and light app and then trying the Cento Pasta bar since the food there was amazing as well. Side note: they were super amazing and allowed us to bring our drinks over to the Cento pasta bar next door for our reservation.

The food is rather priced high for the quantity of food, which is comparable to two bites. The raw bar's menu is also very limited, especially for substantial food, so have your expectations set before attending. Food standouts were the hamachi crudo and spicy pomodoro pasta. The flavors and textures in the crudo were refreshing and I enjoyed the grapes that added a sweet flavor to the rather acidic bite. The pasta's sauce was very comforting and the pasta was a great vessel to give pops of sauce in each bite. I wish that the dishes had a bit more substance to it, given the price. However, the oysters were kinda letdown. The oysters didn't have much flavor and the sauce they provided was very 1D. The strawberry tiramisu was fun and interactive to flood the cake with sauce. It tasted exactly like the nostalgic strawberry shortcake popsicle. Given the $16 price point, I wish there was some fresh strawberry included and taste a bit less like artificial strawberry milk. The bathroom can also be a photo spot, as it looks like you're in a cave. However, it was very dark inside. Luckily, I found some toilet seat covers from inside the wall? LOL Otherwise, the service was fantastic and attentive. Parking is either valet or street parking which isn't hard to find in the neighborhood, just requires a little bit of walking. The interior and exterior was transformative and teleports you to Greece. Definitely go if you want to experience the aesthetics with a taste of food.
