This is a great spot to stop and grab a cold one with friends after a hike, for a sports games, their live music, trivia nights or just because! They have rotating drinks on tap and a new espresso martini on tap, which is nitro and made with undistilled vodka: They also have a selection of wines! The food was also a great find! The smash fries are loaded, Ramsey burgers huge and the Mahi Mahi Tacos were fresh. I just wish they had Tapatio or other spicy hot sauce other than their salsa to go with it, I love spice on my Tacos! Service was quick and and bartender friendly! It was fun to also talk to the other patrons who were there! This place is hidden in the corner, but you will find it easily, plenty of parking in the lot too!

Visiting Peninsula Tap House was such a treat! Located at the heart of the Golden Cove Shopping Center, this spot has such a relaxed vibe. I chose to sit in their outdoor patio and it was perfect spot to enjoy their delicious food and drinks. For my visit I got to enjoy their Smash Fries, The Ramsay Burger, the Wild Caught Mahi Mahi Taco Trio and their Espresso Martini. I'm a certified fry girl who can't resist a delicious platter of fries and I thought spot's Smash Fries definitely hits a "smash" in the delicious radar. This dish consists of crispy fries drizzled in their 1K sauce and topped with pickles, pepperoncini, bacon and grilled onions. The fries had the perfect flavor bomb with all the ingredients. These fries paired well with the their signature burger, The Ramsay Burger. This was one huge burger with fresh ground cluck, cheddar, bacon, bbq sauce, arugula, pickled shallots, balsamic glaze all sandwiched between soft brioche buns. It was quite the indulgence. The bbq sauce and balsamic glaze mixed together for a a sweet and spicy flavor. I loved how the bacon gave a crisp texture contrasting the arugula and pickled shallots. It was one huge burger in size and flavor! It was so large in size that I ended up splitting burger for multiple meals. Not to be missed is their Wild Caught Mahi Mahi tacos. It's no secret that I'm not a big seafood fan but these tacos were quite the tasty treat with salsa verde slaw and house made salsa. That cilantro crème is fire! (Pro-tip - dip some of those smash fries in this side sauce ;)). Last but not least is their Espresso Martini. Being the coffee fan that I am, I really enjoyed this silky, smooth cocktail that was rich in coffee flavor. It had just the right hint of sweetness. This drink just might be new favorite cocktail. (And how amazing it that this spot has espresso martinis on tap?!) Peninsula Tap House is the place to go in Palos Verdes! I loved every thing from their relaxed vibe to the tasty food and refreshing drinks.

It hurts me to say it, but what the heck happened here ? Service has gone from great to absolutely horrendous. Today there were two folks behind the bar and none of them taking orders to the line of folks next to the "order here" sign. They appear to give preference to patrons sitting at the bar. The line was five deep and - after seeing the seated patrons get served multiple times and the female bartender chatting away with them- I just gave up and left. That's gotta be a first for me...ever They also "upgraded" to an electronic signboard which is actually harder to read and less "cozy" than the old hand written one which kind of gave a cool vibe. And their beer selection seems to be ipa this, ipa that, hazy ipa. I guess those are the types that sell But it's a Pity that the selection is now fairly limited to what it used to be. By contrast, The redondo beach craft beer pubs has a dynamic range of types. I'll keep trying them, as I want to support the local scene but I was seriously disappointed today.

Brews by the beach? Say less! Peninsula Taphouse is a family-owned joint that specializes in craft beer, fine wine, and more! They've got plenty of options with 18 craft beers on tap with weekly specials. Their beer flights are perfect if you want options or just thirsty. Don't forget to order some of their unique bites like their mahi mahi tacos and peanut butter bacon burger

Stopped by Peninsula Tap House recently and it ended up being a solid, easygoing visit. We mainly came in to grab a couple beers, but the food ended up being the bigger surprise. They've got a good selection of beers on tap -- my favorite was the Mic-Czech Pilsner, clean and easy to drink. For food, we tried the Mahi Mahi Taco Plate, The Tap House Burger, The Ramsay Burger, and the Smash Fries. Everything was solid overall, but the Ramsay Burger and the Smash Fries were the clear standouts for me. The burger was rich and filling without being over the top, and the fries were crispy and addictive -- definitely something I'd order again. Overall, a dependable neighborhood place I'd come back to when I'm in the area.

Amazing brewery for friends and family! We came on a Saturday night and parking was pretty easy to find. I came here with a friend to catch up and order 3 different beers - personally really enjoy the yuzu one and their peninsula blonde ale. We ordered fries to share and they were tasty .The staff was attentive and did a great job keeping the area clean. I would highly recommend to come for the vibes especially when the band is playing!! They were amazing!!

The service was great, the bartender was so nice and it was great dive bar vibes! The food had stopped serving before we arrived, but it was a perfect end to an evening of golfing which was only 5 min away. It's a must visit if you're leaving Los Verdes Golf Course!!

One of my favorite spots on the Peninsula to slow down, grab a drink, and let the night unfold. The room has great energy, ocean views, glowing fireplaces, and a crowd that's clearly happy to be there. It's the kind of place where you settle into a chair, sip something strong, and suddenly two hours disappear. What makes it special is the live music. Local musicians play most nights from about 7-11pm, creating the perfect soundtrack for the evening. This past Saturday we stopped in after dinner at Nelson's on the property, an excellent combination. We caught Olivia Pucci, who lit up the Terranea lobby in a striking red dress, delivering smooth, soulful vocals that set the tone immediately. Her mix of pop, jazz, and mellow classics is perfect for cocktails and oceanfront vibes, backed by a tight trio on piano/keyboard and guitar. Honestly, this is Palos Verdes at its best: great drinks, live music, ocean air drifting in, and a relaxed crowd enjoying the moment. The best nights are the ones where you stop watching the clock and just soak it all in, this is exactly that kind of place.

And I were so excited to come to - The Gingerbread lounge. Which is located inside their main lobby bar. It's a small little pop up bar decorated like a gingerbread house and other fun Christmas decorations (Anything at this resort is beautiful. Especially during the holidays) so it's safe to say the atmosphere is great. The gingerbread lounge offers -Cocktails -Mocktails -snacks / desserts. mostly cookies. They have about 12 different sweets. And it runs from -November 29, to Friday, January 2; weekdays from 4 to 10 p.m.; Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 10 p.m.  Unfortunately, we got there and it was closed. There's a few different dates circulating around saying it closes on the 2, 3rd and one place Even said the 5th. A worker did say they closed before the end date though. (We should have called. Especially with a couple different dates circulating for the gingerbread lounge) So we were not able to enjoy the gingerbread lounge. However, they did have enough to make 2 different cocktails from their limited menu. Which I got the- CLAUSMOPOLITAN - Ketel One Oranje Vodka, Cranberry and Vanilla Bean Puree, Lime Juice and a Frosted Sugar Rim (I don't think they did the sugar rim. Which is fine. They were out of everything from the pop up bar) They were all out of the dessert options from the gingerbread bar So we ordered from the regular menu. We got a lobby seat. Which, the lobby is very nice. Has great seating, couches and etc. has a couple fire places. I went to the bar and asked them how it worked. I was able to have my drink made, and I took it to my table while he sent the waiter over to take our other orders. Carson was very very friendly. But since it was busy he really wasn't to be found I ordered the-MARGHERITA PIZZA fior di latte, tomato sauce, basil (This is a one size pizza, it's not huge, but it's great if you're sharing other things) this was delicious But I'll be honest. I came for the drinks. I asked the bartender at the main bar area if he could make me something special. I wanted the - pornstar (he laughed, and agreed to it) Carson, our server dropped it off at our table right at the same time as Michelle's drink came out. Michelle had the -EQUINOX * lyre's agave blanco, hibiscus, lemon (This was delicious AND beautiful. Loved the color of it) Michelle also ordered -CARAMEL CRÈME BRULEE CHEESECAKE caramel cheesecake, crème brulee, baci crust seasonal berries tossed in mango passion compote I then had the bartender pick a drink for me. He went with the very popular-UNDER THE PALMS. tito's handmade vodka, lillet rosé, lemongrass, pandan, lemon, coconut water Very refreshing! I could drink these at the pool or at a polo match and just relax. P.S- this place also offers flights! It was also a very very rainy day. And valet was amazing!!!!! He saw me walking in heels and carrying Michelle's gift bag and my purse. He stood next to me with the umbrella. I kept telling him he didn't have to and I actually love the rain lol. But he insisted. As soon as we got to a covered place right by the door he told me to keep the umbrella and use it for the rest of the night. I wish I had his name. He was absolutely amazing and he went above and beyond I will say, the staff here are all amazing. Even the comment about the waiter, Carson being a little slow, he was great, he was just taking care of sooooo many different people This was still such a fun time! I loved having some small food bites and drinks with my girl. The tree inside and outside was still lit up To be honest I love the lobby bar. It was raining, but it still had nice views. I love the different seating. They have a large community table, separate tables, they have nice leather chairs but I really wanted the couch area to not be taken up. If I'm comfortable, Have a bff with me And I'm drinking? I could have stayed all night. I would of lived there Bathroom is also very close to the lobby bar Parking is good for me. The handicap parking is up close and I don't have to pay a fee because the handicap sticker. (If you don't have a handicap sticker unfortunately the parking can be far or expensive) If you go to places like the Spa or restaurants closer to the water. They have people on golf carts take you all around the grounds to where you are going So I highly suggest not just coming to the lobby bar and to check out more of the resort. I could spend hours here I can't wait for the gingerbread lounge for Christmas 2026.

The interior is neat and clean. There are various types of seating (bar; table; booth; high-tops; communal), and plenty of screens to watch sports. On this occasion, I ordered the Tavern Fish & Chips ($22). It is described as "Alaskan cod coated in a tempura beer batter and served with French fries, tartar sauce and yuzu herb coleslaw". The positives of this dish are that it was prepared well. Both the fish and chips tasted good. The presentation was also nice; which leads to the coleslaw: The coleslaw tasted good, too; but I was surprised the serving was so spare. It's almost as if it was served just to optically balance the presentation in the basket. (See photo shared,) And while the price was not unreasonable, feel it's creeping towards expensive (relative to serving size). I'll attribute this to rising input costs. Staffing might be an issue during the lunchtime service. Service was okay, but they seemed to be understaffed. It's possible that most of their business is done after 5pm.

The service was really upbeat and friendly and our server was so kind and helpful. I ordered that alongside a falafel wrap I must say, both of these worked so well together. The espresso martini was light and refreshing yet still had a bold flavor. Apparently, everyone else in the South Bay had the same idea because the place was absolutely humming. Parking can sometimes be a challenge, just be patient. Fortunately, we had reservations and were quickly seated in a roomy table tucked away in the back corner. It turned out to be prime real estate: enough privacy for conversation, but still a great vantage point to take in the entire restaurant. The patio out front might be even better, though, if you're into people-watching. Catalina Avenue on a Friday night offers no shortage of entertainment. But for our group, this table was perfect. The interior has a warm, industrial feel, exposed brick, dark wood, metal accents, garage-style doors, and televisions scattered throughout. Oddly, the Dodgers game wasn't on. Maybe they don't get SportsNet LA. I never bothered to ask because the conversation at our table was far more enjoyable. Let's address the elephant in the room: Friday-night service. The place was packed, and our server was clearly running a marathon. He's usually stationed behind the bar, sports a sleeve of tattoos, looks super fit, and carries a permanent smile. He worked hard all evening, but there were some significant stretches where my Ikasu Ikasu West Coast IPA ($11) sat empty with no rescue in sight. A man can only stare sadly at an empty pint glass for so long. We started with the poutine fries, crispy fries loaded with gravy, skirt steak, mornay sauce, Gruyère, and green onions. They were outstanding and disappeared so quickly that I remembered to take a photo only after the massacre had already occurred, see my picture, LOL. Our server redeemed himself with his entrée recommendation: The Philly. Thinly sliced ribeye, grilled onions, sweet and hot peppers, house sauce, all piled into a sesame roll. It was fantastic, messy, savory, and exactly what you want from a cheesesteak. My wife paired a Harmonia Mango Wheat ($11) with the Blue Cheese Avocado Burger ($20), a hefty seven-ounce burger topped with melted blue cheese, grilled onions, avocado, applewood bacon, and arugula. She was a happy camper. Our friends split the same burger and also ordered the hummus appetizer, adding filet mignon on top. Excellent call, I snuck a few bites! To their credit, at the end of the evening our server came back to the table, apologized for the pacing, and made amends with a complimentary Crafted Cookie: a warm chocolate-chip cookie topped with vanilla ice cream. At the end of the day, restaurants are about more than perfect timing and topped-off beers. They're about sharing stories, laughing with friends, and breaking bread with people you enjoy being around. The service had its ups and downs, but the food was solid, the atmosphere lively, and Riviera Village on a summer Friday night is hard to beat.

The service is another reason I keep coming back. Both bartenders are absolute class acts--friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the beer they serve. Whether you're a craft beer veteran or someone trying something new, they make you feel welcome and are always happy to offer recommendations. The food deserves recognition as well. I've tried a variety of menu items over multiple visits and haven't been disappointed. In fact, I'm genuinely surprised when I see complaints about the food on Yelp. It's good bar food done right, not a gourmet restaurant pretending to be something it's not. Needless to say, I'll be back. Actually, I already have been--many times. If you're looking for great beer, great people, a comfortable atmosphere, and solid food in Redondo Beach, this place is well worth a visit.

Our party of three (plus small dog) was turned away even though we had a "take our money" look on our faces as it was a birthday celebration. Told that two people on the patio is the limit if accompanied by dog. So we had lunch at the new Martha's next door instead. Bummer, was looking forward to RBB's beer selection. Kinda got the vibe that their business activity is slowing of late and may not be long for this world.

This place hits the trifecta. The beer selection is incredible with a style for everyone, but what…read morereally blew me away was the customer service. The staff was incredibly welcoming (Especially Matt) , knowledgeable, and more than happy to offer recommendations based on what we usually like. On top of that, the food is way beyond your standard greasy pub grub--everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the drinks. It's officially our new go-to spot. Can't wait to come back! PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO THESE TRASH REVIEWS.

It feels like the staff is more concerned with getting out exactly at closing time than making guests feel welcomed and valued. Our last visit on 06/25/2026 was, by far, the worst experience we've ever had here. We were celebrating my stepdaughter's birthday with a large group. As closing time approached, one of our family members still had a nearly full beer. Without any warning or politely letting us know it was time to finish up, a tall white male employee (who refused to provide his name when asked) simply walked up and took the beer off the table. What made it even more frustrating was that there were other tables around us with guests who also had drinks, yet our party was the only one singled out. To make matters worse, we had brought a birthday cake to celebrate. We politely asked another short female employee for a few plastic plates and utensils so we could cut the cake before leaving. We were told no because they were closing. This has never been an issue during our previous birthday celebrations here. These were disposable plastic plates and utensils that would have gone straight into the trash, so refusing such a simple request came across as pure unwillingness to provide basic customer service. I spent 10 years working in the food and hospitality industry before starting my current career, so I understand exactly what closing a restaurant or brewery entails. I know employees want to leave on time, but I also know that providing good customer service until the last guest leaves is part of the job. If customers need to wrap things up, there is a respectful way to communicate that. You don't take someone's drink without warning, and you don't refuse a simple request that would have taken less than a minute. Everyone in our party left upset and disappointed. It was honestly embarrassing to watch employees treat loyal customers this way. This brewery used to be our go-to place for birthdays, but after this experience, we will not be returning. I rarely write negative reviews because I understand everyone has bad days. However, this experience was unacceptable. I sincerely hope management addresses the lack of hospitality and provides better customer service training, because the employees working that evening did not represent the level of service that keeps loyal customers coming back. Both the female worker with tattoos and piercings and the tall male were extremely rude when confronted. If you choose to visit, just be aware that if you're there close to closing time, your experience may depend more on how quickly the staff wants to leave than on making you feel like a valued guest.

With new ownership comes an affiliated new crowd coinciding w/ old crowd. You could cut the tension in the air w/ someone's pocket knife because you just felt at least one person was packing. I never felt the need to look over my shoulder regularly thru the night til now. Territorial is an understatement. It could be your first visit, and you could tell two different groups were there. Service was disappointing. A customer is a customer, but I noticed new ownership neglected old crowd to tend to her crowd or anything else to keep her "busy." Meanwhile, original bartenders were bending over backwards for everybody. We, in the old crowd, are familiar enough w/ each other for some small talk at the bar while waiting for drinks. They were as confused and shocked as I was about the service. I don't even want to mention what I saw in owner/staff interactions, but I'ma just leave it at sad. It was just sad. I'm not a regular regular, but Southland was the spot for my friends and me when we wanted a night out together for past couple years. Now, we're back to bar-hopping for a new spot because The Alley Bar ain't it. I'd give her benefit-of-the-doubt because she just picked up the place, but benefit would imply I saw an effort in keeping old crowd loyal while inviting new life, too--yeah, no benefit here. R.I.P. Southland, thanks for all the fun.
