After taking our order which only consisted of four sandwiched and two fries, he directs me to the register where I'm told my total and to use my card, only to find out that they had not pushed the correct button on the register to allow me to check out, and seemed exasperated when I told them it wasn't taking my card. It then took nearly 30 minutes to fill the order, and when they finally got it done two of the four sandwiched were wrong, with one being literally the completely wrong type of sandwich. If a business was trying to lose customers they would run it exactly like this. I would give them 0 stars if I could. read more

Love this location and food and wish more people would visit! Service is always fast and friendly and the subs are delicious. I wish more tables were open, but understand why they don't have all areas available. read more

Went to Penn station in sawmill and this was the friendliest location that I've ever been to.most pain stations have no personality the location was upbeat clean and the staff you can tell that they enjoyed working there they work together like a well-oiled machine. I would definitely recommend this location above all others in Columbus. read more

Penn Station is hands down the best cheesesteak I've ever had. Granted, I haven't actually been to Philly...but outside of Philly haha. What I have gotten here in Ohio...it's the best. The flavor of the meat and the peppers and onions is to die for. The bread is so good. Stays crispy on the outside, while still soaking up the juice and the goodness from the meat and veggies. The fries are cut fresh daily. They are like fair fries but better cuz you can douse them with vinegar a bunch and not worry about making mess of your hands like at the fair. Been here a couple times now. Problem with this location is that I simply forget that it is here. My experiences have been "okay"; nothing particularly negative yet nothing particularly that stands out either. Nestled in the now Aldi shopping strip along the busy Sawmill Road. My recent visit was during lunch time. I have never seen them busy. Menu is posted high up on the wall to your right as you enter the restaurant. Can be a challenge to read the items toward the top of the menu board. Staff were pretty "transactional". I saw the manager / supervisor walking about on her phone. She obviously was not happy about something as she multi-tasked around the store. I ordered a turkey avocado sub. The one person behind the counter took my order and made my sub. He did ask if I wanted the turkey grilled. I did pick up one of their chocolate chunk cookies. The manager, still on her phone, cashed me out as she continued multi-tasking on her phone. I really felt pretty invisible there. My turkey avocado sub was okay. Honestly, nothing to write home about. Grilled turkey, an avocado sauce, roma tomato slices and shredded lettuce. Pretty simple sub. Now, the chocolate chunk cookie was really good. There are so many options for grabbing something to eat in the vicinity. Not much here to encourage customers to want to patronize this location, except for maybe the chocolate chunk cookies. read more

My husband was in the mood for a sub, like always so we came here since it has been a while since he's been here. For me I think it's been since I lived in Dayton. So I start off ordering the philly cheesesteak sub. God, I didn't need that after the meat I had earlier. I try to limit the amount of meat consumption I eat in a normal day to 1/2 to a cup. Not that I'm looking to become vegetarian but just for health reasons. The sub was good despite the fact I didn't need so much meat in my day. I try to get more veggies in my subs typically but that's kind of hard here since it is mostly all meat. The philly cheesesteak had banana peppers, onions, mayo, steak and provolone cheese. It was good, but my stomach is definitely going to hate me tomorrow. I can only eat so much meat in one day. The customer service here is good. They are attentive and listen to what you want on your sub. If you need a quick bite to eat and looking for a warm sub this is the place to come to in the Powell area. read more

I am appalled that the three young men working at Penn Station in Powell were not wearing masks. Not only was the cashier not wearing a mask, he was also handling food after handling money and didn't wash his hands. I will never return to this Penn Station location. read more

I spoke with the owner Reid and he advised that they do not require masks by his customers at this establishment. He stated that the money he receives from his customers is more important than ensuring safety of those in his establishment. He also stated that asking his customers to wear masks is comparable to enforcing speeding laws...not sure about the strength of that argument. Regardless, it is very disappointing that he is not taking mask requirements in public indoor settings seriously. read more

I order on line at the Penn Station on Sawmill Pkwy, it's our Friday go to. This place has done a great job since I custom order the sub. The sub is always made exactly as specified and when I walk in they hand me my sub and I am out the door. They all are friendly and greet you as you walk in, which can be hard to come by. I think every Penn Station I have ever visited has been extremely slow. But I had never been to this location and I love their cheesesteaks! Being high risk, we worried about going in, but In placing the order by phone for my husband to pick up, Michael volunteered to bring it out to our car! I lived his initiative since I never asked. But I warned my husband that Penn Stations are always slow, and to be patient. Fortunately, I was wrong. Very quickly it was delivered and very accurate. Ricky (I think the manager) called to be sure we got everything we ordered and I assured him we did. It was tasty , as always, and we will return more often now. Thanks, guys! read more

Who doesn't like a nice Philly cheese steak from Penn Station. Although i made the poor decision to come in during their busiest time of the day and had to wait 45 minutes for my food, I'm not mad. i just wanted to point out how great the staff here handles this chaos. the line is constantly out the door, phone is ringing off the hook and there is a sh*t load of HANGRY PEOPLE WAITING. They work so well together, so hard and so fast and so efficiently. They were constantly saying thank you to each other foot helping. With every customer that came in the door, they still greeted the customer with a friendly attitude, took the time to listen to get everyone's order correctly. I love their subs, the artichoke mushroom is awesome! The weekday afternoon staff is great, always friendly and polite.

Penn Station is in our lunch and learn rotation and a crowd favorite, especially the cookies. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We actually have a different Penn Station closer to the office, but this location is heads and shoulders above the other one just south on the same road. read more

In the past, the subs from Penn Station have been wonderful but recently they have hired new people that seem to have no idea what they are doing. The food used to come out in about 5 minutes but now it's triple the time. I was building my own sandwich and after placing the order, they came out to tell me that they didn't have the meat is ordered. They forgot the tomatoes on my sandwich as well. :( The food went from amazing to just ok. My friend got a lemonade and they forgot the sugar so it's just bitter lemon water. This place is pretty cool. I stopped in just not, and the two guys there are awesome.. its 6/15/15 , 5PM.. And whoever these guys are... they are great. When i come in they are fun, and i dont have to wait long. They dont act like the typical fast food robots you encounter at most places. The subs were absolutely delicious and the fries were probably the best we have ever had. They are made fresh when you order. It's hard to see from Sawmill. 2nd visit there and same old bad service. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and tried again and this time was no different. Ordered our food for carry out, there was no one at the second cash register for 15 minutes. So we sat down and waited till they yelled our name at which I paid for our food. After getting into the car I noticed that one of the items was missing. Went back in and told individual to check order and let me know what was missing. He could not figure it out, so I had to tell him. He then went and asked someone to get us the missing item. I at that time told the guy the waiting time was ridiculous and he said to me " Thanks for the compliment"! Wow, so then he tells me to call the number on the wall to complain as he was not the manager! I of course said that's ok, no need to call. At that time some guy comes out from the back and tried giving me 3 coupons that had been cashed in already, (They were tore) and the guy said come back and present these next time even though they had been used. No introduction or anything from the individual so I gracefully said that's OK and left the premises. There is nothing worse than ordering food to go and have something missing! I love penn station but this particular location has let me down on several occasions. This last time was probably my last visit though. I ordered a sub and fries. However, I wasn't told until after my sub had been cooked that they were out of fries. You didn't know that you were out of fries when I ordered? And then the same person that told me they were out as he handed me my sub then proceeded to attempt to charge me for said fries. At which point I asked for the charge to be removed and he acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. So did you mean to say you just didn't want to make fries at 8:30 on a Friday? To top it off the place smelled like a dump. Was there an issue with the restrooms? Should you have taken the garbage out? Was there a gas leak? I have no idea but the place smelled terrible. Don't come here, the wait is waaay to long even when they aren't busy and they're constantly "out" of something. I'm done coming to location. Plenty of other places to eat at on Sawmill where I don't have to deal with this. read more

I absolutely love this place! The staff are super friendly, and the food is just phenomenal. The Cheesesteak is my personal favorite but I also highly recommend the Chicken Parmesan and the Italian. So excited there is finally a location in Powell! I will definitely be visiting this place several times this week. read more
