The staff was outwardly upset that my group came in 40 minutes before their scheduled closure which I personally think was not a big deal especially at a speedy sub service. The Novi Penn Station provides exceptional service and a quality product. I work nearby, so I frequent the establishment often, and I can safely say their quick friendly service is thankfully consistent throughout the entire week. The people who work there have a genuine concern in making certain you are satisfied. The freshly toasted bread is dee-lish, and I've never felt as if they've skimped on the fresh toppings. With the lemonade being freshly squeezed (that's fun to say) each day, the fries being cut fresh to order, their cookies being a major weakness of mine, all the while the whole restaurant being kept nice and clean - I just love this place and highly recommend it. read more

Food and service is horribly inconsistent here. The couple of times when I had the right order, the food was good. But usually there's always something wrong with my food. Sometimes the seasoning is way too much.. like they just spilled a whole bottle of salt on the sub and fries. Drinks taste different, topping proportions are different each time. First time there. Didn't really care for the taste of the steak and cheese sub with pizza sauce all over it. But the biggest problem is when I unrolled the paper wrapper (carefully), the steak and cheese inside the bun immediately fell out and into the paper. Just extremely messy. read more

Just had lunch at Penn Station in Novi, MI...Yum!!! I had artichoke sub with mushrooms and added chicken. It was so good. I love that they send the sub through a moving oven and it arrives all warm and melty. I had the lemonade. I've seen other reviews saying it was too tart, but in my opinion it perfect... not too sweet. My husband had the Italian Combo. He really enjoyed it too...especially the bread which had a good crust and was nice and soft inside. The bread was in good proportion to the filling. We don't like it when the bread overwhelms the meat. Oh, and the fries were fantastic...fresh cut with the skins still on them. Great lunch! Wish I lived closer and could get here more often. read more

I stopped into Penn Station and thankfully, I read another review warning that the Philly Cheese Steak has pizza sauce on it. The sandwich is mighty tasty without the sauce and worth a trip to try! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is clean and comfortable. Once you order you do have to wait a few minutes for your sandwich to be prepared, but the cheese is so well melted that I think the wait is worth it. The subs are so delicious but pretty greasy - must be from all of the cheese. My favorites are the reuben and the artichoke. The fries are the best fresh cut fries I've every had - the flavor is pure potato and cooked to perfection - not the usual droopy, greasy fresh cut fries. Make sure to get a lemonade - perfectly tart/sweet. The service does seem slow to me but the staff is friendly. read more

50% of the time, I get shorted on what I order on my sub. Double check your order before you leave. I'm giving two stars because the two times they got it right, and it was tasty. I thought the sign said close at 10pm I came in at 9:15pm & a crew member was mopping I asked "were you guys closed, she said not at 9:30pm" I thhen asked am I still able to order? I see you cleaning she said it's fine. Now when I went to order the other crew member was beyond rude. Like I worked in food before that's why I'm always polite, I know what comes with the job. Anyway I ordered & waited for my food. The crew member that rung me up was handing my food terrible I watch the bag fumble twice into fry bin & the crew member that was mopping mopped the area where you pick up your food. & the girl that handled my food left it there & yelled out "your food is right here" I'm standing where you order thinking she would just have had it to me & I said back she just mopped right there.so with attitude she walks to where you order & handed me my food with unnecessary attitude. I'm recovering from a acl & mcl tear I'm not about to risk slipping on a wet floor! We've been to Penn Station multiple times, most recently this past week. If you are a fan of good french fries, you need to make your way to Penn Station. A good tip off that they value their fries is the giant bin of potatoes on display behind the counter. The fries are easily the best thing on the menu and better than the fries you'll get at most places in the same price range. The subs are decent although we've found that they run on the greasy side. They are a bit pricier compared to similar sub shops but the portions are generous, they use quality ingredients and even a "small" can be more than enough for a meal. They do have a few lighter and veggie options but don't come looking for salads or other alternatives to subs as those are not on the menu. The Penn Station in Novi is new and it's a comfortable place to eat. They deliver your food to your table, which you won't get at other sub places. The only complaint on the facility is that they don't seem to keep up on the tables. Sometimes a clean table is hard to find. Otherwise, we've had only positive eating experiences at PS. Keep an eye out for Penn Station coupons. You can usually find those around and you can sign up on their web site to get discount offers. read more

Cheese Steak is ehrrrmmmahhhgggehrrrddddd! Excellent! I personally got mine without mustard or peppers and my buddy told me that was a good call as he was not feeling that part... Delicious pizza sub. Good bread, good sauce. Onions and Mushrooms, plus the staff were very helpful. The ventilation in the place is exorbitantly loud. This is my favorite restaurant hands down and I usually have the best service and the staff is usually very friendly. Tonight my fiancée and I decided to go but unfortunately we live very far and I got out of work late so we didn't make it until 930. I absolutely hate being the person that comes in so close to close but I figured we had a good half an hour so they might still be able to serve us (to go). We pulled up and as I was getting out of the car, one of the employees stared at us and mouthed "come on!" As in we need to hurry and get in and get out.
