First time at this clean family owned coney style family restaurant . Steve popped in for breakfast. Menu had a great selection of egg plates and omelets. I chose the L George Omelet with rye toast. The food came amazingly fast and my server was always quick to refill my coffee. I enjoyed the omelet, especially the chili and cheese inside! Not impressed at all. The bus boy there is a total creeper. The dude kept walking past our table, continually looking at my wife and trying to make eye contact with her. When my wife says something and feels uncomfortable in these situations we just dont go back. Walked in got a table right away. The breakfast was sub par. Our bacon was precooked and hard not tasty and warm. The eggs were the only thing on our plates that were cooked fresh. This L Georges is in the building that used to house the restaurant Apples. Apples was good and so is L Georges, with consistent service, decent food, and low prices. Hubby and I were here the other day. He got chicken tenders and I got the gyro combo, which came with a cup of gumbo and a side of coleslaw. Hubby said his tenders were good but not great. Same applies to my gyro, coleslaw, and gumbo. But "good" is more than good enough when the bill for dinner comes out to less than $20.00 This is a place that we've been to many times, and it's a place we'll definitely go to again. Turkey Club minus tomato is why I'm writing this review. Got it as an add on for a midnight snack and it did not disappoint! Went full Beast Mode on it after tasting that delicious Bacon and thick sliced Turkey. Seriously a great sandwich. Also had the Bacon and Egg Burger just before my life altering Turkey Club. It was delicious as well in case you were wondering. The service was quick, friendly and food was excellent. This was our third or fourth visit and have yet to try something we didn't enjoy. This is hands down the best Coney Island in the area. My husband and I go here so often that most of the servers know who we are which is slightly embarrassing but I don't even care because it's so good. They are so great, always making sure our drinks are full and our food is good. My husband is a big fan of their chicken tenders, he gets them every time. I love their grilled chicken Greek salad but be warned: it's huge! I always take half of it home to eat for lunch the next day. Their chili cheese fries are awesome, I like that they melt slices of cheese on them rather than use nacho cheese like other coneys. Be sure to try their chicken gumbo, it's delicious! We get it every time. Overall this is an awesome neighborhood place with fantastic service and delicious food. What more could you ask for?! :) read more

The hubby and I went for breakfast last weekend and it was delish!!!! One of the best breakfast spots we have been to; a hidden gem honestly. I ordered the standard bacon, eggs, hashbrowns and the hubby got the corned beef hash. We both lovedddd our food and took leftovers home which we never do at breakfast. It was that good!! My scrambled eggs were perfect and my bacon was extra crispy like I asked!! That alone would bring me back because it's hard out there to get extra crispy bacon I tell ya!! My hubby lovedddd his freshly made corned beef. We could tell it was made in house because it had real corned beef and actual onions and peppers with a heaping helping of hashbrowns. But the new ownership has step it up, and its a very busy place, breakfast, lunch an dinner. It is a diner, with a good size menu, breakfast and sandwiches/burgers, with a focus on the daily dinner specials. Breakfast is probably you best meal, but we went for dinner and every table and booth was filled. Prices are good and the food is good - everything fried. This is probably one of the worst locations offered by the name L GEORGE'S Coney Island I've had multiple questions and concerns about the pricing of this location not only is the food not as good as it should be for the pricing that is being charged but the service overall is not good as well, Because they priced everything individually which is very unacceptable when you have people patronizing your business so you can stay in business it needed to be addressed with the manager or owner of the business so that they can take in consideration to reconsider pricing of the food that others is trying to purchase to pay $50 for two meals that should be less than $30 it's actually ridiculous, and I will not be patronizing this business anymore and I'm sure others will understand why and will thank me later for this general post!! #Pricestoohigh read more
