I ate at Penn station a few weeks ago and really enjoyed my experience. The staff was really great, friendly, and knowledgeable. I joined the email list to get on their rewards list and had a free large fry, which was nice. The sandwich I got was a chicken Parmesan and it was delicious. The meat was hot and tasted fresh, perfectly mixed in with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce. The break was toasted perfectly, it was a nicely orchestrated sandwich. The fries was VERY good. I would compare them almost to a 5 guys, but enjoyed these fries a little more. Price wasn't bad, was fair, comparable to firehouse subs or any other of those sandwich places. I've seen Penn Station Sandwiches while driving home for a couple of months now, but finally tried it today due to our other kid friendly take out/delivery options were super busy and canceled our delivery orders. Oh well, we are glad we decided to try Penn Station Sandwiches! I figured, it was probably some what of a small local restaurant that didn't open too long ago. Definitely could probably use more business than Jimmy John's, so why not right? My son got his normal ham and cheese with nothing else on it on white bread. I got a grilled veggie sandwich with honey mustard sauce on multigrain bread. We ordered a half gallon of their unsweetened tea as well as lemonade. I mean, it wasn't much more to get the half gallon than to get a cup of it, so I figured it's okay. Their website says they are freshly brewed tea and freshly squeezed lemonade, so we were both excited to try it. We also ordered some cheese bread and two chocolate cookies. My sandwich was so delicious. Let me back track just a little to tell you how awesome the customer service is here. So, apparently this location doesn't have green peppers. I ordered them on my sandwich but missed the call from the shop before the delivery driver got there to pick the order up. I called back not knowing my order was en route and the man who answered told me he packed me a side of banana peppers (just in case I wanted them). and added extra mushrooms to my sandwich. He didn't want my order waiting too long so he sent it that way. That right there is amazing customer service in my book. Anyway, my sandwich was so so yummy. The honey mustard sauce, although I am not a 100% sure, tastes as if it could be house made. The vegetables were grilled to perfection. I will be ordering this sandwich again for sure! My son, not much of a carb lover, took the meat and the cheese out of his bread like usual and devoured the ham and the cheese. He said it tastes like it came from a deli and the cheese looked perfect to him. He also loved the mixture of the lemonade and tea I made for him. Last but not least, the chocolate chip cookie. It was definitely worth it! To me, it was just the perfect cookie. Not too crunchy, but not too soft. There were just the right amount of chocolate chips for me as well. Went to this new sandwich shop because it was close to home, and it has quickly become one of our favorite places to eat. I'm on a mission to try every sandwich on the menu, with about half of them left, and so far I have not been disappointed by any of the ones I've tried. Hands down my favorite cheesesteak. Grew up on Penn Station When I lived in Cincinnati. My family moved to NE in 2003 and I've craved this place more than any other since then. I've actually driven to Kansas City location solely for the sandwich to get my fix. Needless to say when this opened up here in Omaha I couldn't have been more excited. I get the steak philly with onion, peppers and pizza sauce everytime. It is always as good as the time before. Then to top it off with their fresh cut fries and killer lemonade... love it. Tonight we both tried the grilled Italian, & really liked it, better than I thought the Reuben was.

First review, pretty pleased overall. Had the hot Italian and it didn't disappoint. I really like they use a flattop to heat the meat, gets it a little crisp. Bread was pretty outstanding and toppings were really fresh. Little heavy on the oil, but wouldn't kick it out for that. Friend had the BLT which was packed with bacon. They have hand cut fries, I passed this time, but told they are pretty ligit. Only rub was that they weren't the quickest, bordering on a little slow based on the small number of orders. I would expect this picks up with time. Recommend call in and carry out, however they did have dine in. Place was really clean. read more

Service was very good at this location -- we were acknowledged upon entry, even though the staff was very busy. After a couple minutes our order was taken, and we sat to wait for our food. Every staff member was engaged and on task. When our food came, it was tasty and more (in size) than we had anticipated. The fresh cut fries were a real treat! The bread of the sandwiches was very good, but not like an Italian roll. It does hold up to the heat and the sauces, though, so you don't get too much soggy bread or drip-through. I love sammiches and was excited to see a new place open up in Omaha! My boyfriend has always told me this was his fav Philly spot from the East coast so it was ecstatic to try it out! I really wanted to like this place but it was lackluster and a let down today. My husband and I both ordered the cheesesteak and were disappointed. There was too much sauce and cheese which left the bread drenched and soggy. You couldn't taste any meat and we were both disappointed. I hate to say it but pepper jacks is better and I feel like you get more meat and a better flavor for the value. Maybe it was an off day but I won't be going back anytime soon. Sad. read more

I've been looking for another great sandwich shop in Omaha. I had the classic Italian and it was delicious. About 15 years ago our small town Pizza Hut had something like this sandwich that I always ordered, it tasted like the same thing, the meat was fresh and cooked perfectly with the right blend of spices. Tried a Turkey and Provolone sandwich for the first time and it was remarkably good. Chewy hoagie roll, high quality turkey and cheese and healthy tomato and lettuce serving. Horrible. My sandwich sat on the grill burning while manager was flirting with a customer. Then it came out of the conveyor belt to sit longer while the staff filled a bunch of takeout orders while I was the only person in the entire place. When they finally took their sweet time to get mine they screwed up the toppings. By then my lunch break was over and all I could do is get my money back and head back to work. The manager yelled some smart a$$ comments to me on the way out the door to put the cherry on top. I hope he got the date with the guy he was flirting with so it won't be a total loss for him. My wife and I wanted to support a new and local business, especially during the pandemic. We stopped in, ordered our subs, and then waited 45 mins for our subs. 45 minutes. My wife convinced me to wait for the sandwiches otherwise I would have bailed. I watched too many people walk in and order after us and then leave before us and as the staff forgot to make our order. The gentlemen working knew I wasn't happy and offered a coupon but waiting that long again isn't an option again. Hopefully others have a better experience. read more
