Great Breakfast spot, but be ready to wait! Its a very popular spot and for good reason. Luckily the shopping center its in has tons of parking unlike their other location. I try to get something different each time we go and have tried quite a few items. Here is what I would recommend - Pancakes - I dunno what they out in the batter but oh boy...these are amazing. They also have some type of berry syrup that is just the chefs kiss to these. I also tried them with Bananas & whip...yes...so much yes. The whip they use taste homemade and was so good. Both Benedicts that are on the menu - Both are very good. I do not always feel like meat at breakfast which is when the Florentine just hits the spot. The ingredients are fresh and the egg is cooked just right. They both come on a croissant and I am not complaining one bit about that. It just works. They also put the right amount of hollandaise sauce and its delicious. Those damn little fried potatoes - these are my addiction. Simple little squares of potatoes but they are so good. Chicken fried steak - Yes...if you're in the mood for something that will make you have to unbutton the pants then order this. I personally like to get it with the gravy on the side....they have tasty gravy. Overall, its crunchy and not too greasy, I don't get the bubble guts from it which is a huge plus. All around disappointed Waited at table for 10 min before we even got water. Ordered for 4. Mine was "beef patty smothered in sausage gravy". Literally zero sausage in gravy. I dug through it thoroughly. Ordered sausage, came out pink and cool. Sent that back. The two eggs were tiny (medium or small yolk, not equivalent to one large egg) Bacon cold Tomato slices had hard core still in them Literally a flavorless disappoint all around. Many other Bfast joints to choose from. All are better than this over-hyped sad excuse for loveless cafeteria food. read more

Checked out Penny Ann's Café in Bountiful recently. It was my first time going to this location. It was busy! The wait wasn't terrible though, our waiter, Hector, was great, he very efficient getting our order taken & getting food to us pretty quickly after we ordered. We underestimated the table space we needed for so much food as well! I ordered the large orange juice & it was worth the price! It was really good. We ordered the Chili Verde Fries & they were good, most of these went home with us in a to go container because there was so much food! My boyfriend ordered the Big Breakfast which came with eggs, bacon, ham, & sausage, potatoes, toast & hotcakes. The egg portion alone was huge! Easily half of his plate, definitely seemed like more than two eggs. I ordered the Garden Skillet, minus onions. They did put onions on this order, which was a bummer. Otherwise it was pretty good. I do wish it had more potatoes than it did. Loved the hollandaise sauce on it though. My meal also came with pancakes! We ended up taking all pancakes home as well because it was just so much food. Lesson learned for next time we go, portions are large. I love ordering biscuits & gravy lately when trying new brunch places. I didn't love these. The gravy has a lot of sausage in it, but the biscuit was just really hard & not fluffy at all. Overall we liked it! Check it out! read more

Hmmm. I wanted so bad to love this place but our visit fell flat. We went on a Sunday morning so naturally, there was a wait. I was fine with that because they do have a text option so we were able to walk next door to TJ Maxx and shop until our table was ready. Once we sat down, we looked at the menu and went with pretty much the basics of breakfasts. Our table ordered stuffed French toast, regular French toast, the three meat omlet and the small breakfast which included eggs, potatoes, sausage and a pancake. The food came and it looked less than appealing. The omlet was small and blah looking. You would think it would be bigger since it was $15. The French toast plates looked the best. The small breakfast was my meal. The potatoes looked dry and there was just one sausage. It was mediocre at best. Legit nothing special. I could have made a better egg breakfast. The potatoes were extremely dry and hard. The eggs needing some seasoning. The pancake was the only redeeming item of the meal. It had a very buttery taste which was delicious. The service wasn't anything great either. I think she might have filled our drinks once and that was it. I hate eating at places that aren't on top of the refills. It seems petty of me but I do judge the service I get on how well drink was managed. They get a two for this. All in all, it was just ok. I for sure wouldn't tell someone to go here. I doubt I'll be back. We ate breakfast ar Dennys a few weeks ago and it was better than Penny Ann's. Maybe I just got them on an off day because I wasn't all that impressed. read more

I really wanted to like the heavenly pancakes, yes they are fluffy, airy and beautiful once arriving, unfortunately the flavor, taste was just bland, nothing special. The Chile verde was goopy, not good, but once scooted to the side, the eggs and hash browns were good. Also enjoyed the Arizona omelet. A side biscuit with gravy was decent. I came early on a Sunday, plenty of staff. Food came out relatively quick, but just wasn't good. Ordered eggs, medium and they weren't even close and served very cold potatoes, which were probably fried well before I walked in the door. And they take the super lazy way to make breakfast, potatoes, deep frying them in large quantities, which neither taste good, nor are really served hot There's very limited breakfast places in Bountiful and I think that's the only reason why they're still in business. read more

While the food is great, their process of seating people is severely flawed. We called ahead and were told our table would be ready at a specific time. When we arrived and checked in, we still waited for over an hour while other groups that arrived after us of the same size were seated. Food was sub par. Potatoes are bulk purchase from Costco. The pancakes taste as if they were made from old flour and cake mix. I had the southern omelette which consisted of sausage links cut up smothered in the breakfast gravy. I guess if you add bell peppers to it makes it southern. The syrup was the best. It came out warm. Putting it on the 4 slices of toast was quite lovely. I'll pass on this place. read more

I enjoyed the food at the Draper locatio so when the Bountiful opened I was excited only to be disappointed. The server started off great but then disappeared for a bit. My food was cold and the potatoes tasted old. I heard the table behind me say the same about their food as well. Unprofessional employees, A employee came back from dollar tree with a bag of she set on the counter where customers sit, 3 of the girls huddles around as the did a puzzle book a few minutes later 2 more joined so you ahve five employees huddled around while the hostess and 1 other guy, David, cleared tables and checked on people. New location! Same great Penny Ann's! As a Long time customer and PAC fanatic I of course had to go to the new bountiful location. The highlight of the trip was getting to talk to Penny while she made the rounds refilling coffee. I'm so excited for Bountiful to have one of the best breakfast spots in Utah. It was a busy day and we did have to wait, but there is usually a wait for Sunday brunch and at Penny Ann's it is always worth it. The coffee was excellent as usual. Seriously, their coffee is my favorite and I'm so glad the sell it by the bag- beans or ground! And as far as ham steak as a side meat option, I think PAC has the best ones of any breakfast place I've been to in Utah. This should absolutely be on your list of places to eat in you're in Bountiful! read more

Good restaurant with nice staff and good food. They use a virtual wait list but make sure you check in when you get there. We sat in the parking lot and waited for the line to get to 5 before going in but when we did and checked in, we were at the top of the list. For a Saturday brunch gathering for family of 5 with toddlers/baby, probably not the best place based on service/speed. We signed up for waitlist online, waited about 10 minutes for a table. Ordered drinks first, it took a little bit for our server to stop back to order meals. It seemed like she was overwhelmed with her section. Maybe not enough staff? Idk. We ordered, it was quite a while for food to come out- their menu had a small note saying don't rush your grandma. Ok, no problem. Full order made it to our table. Big breakfast w/ hot cakes, PAC Benedict w/French toast, and side of fresh fruit. Everything did look good, like a regular all American breakfast. The one disappointment with the "time" and care it took to prepare our meal- the poached eggs were over cooked. More like hard boiled, not a runny yoke in sight. I didn't even bother complaining. PAC serves bottomless coffee, of the 3x we spoke to our waitress, she never asked if everything was good. Served only 2 cups of coffee, yes we're big coffee drinkers. We did want more. If y'all are asking patrons to be patient with prepping meals, it should be done properly and thoroughly checked before coming out of the kitchen. I give it a 4 for location because Bountiful doesn't have many breakfast places and it's awesome they're here. The staff deserves a 4 as well. Very friendly, nice and helpful. I was super excited to try PAC but was kind of bummed out. The pancake we did like ok. The middle was fluffy and yummy. Edges kind of rubbery. My omelet was not great. The potatoes were just fried potato chunks. Very simple and bland. The white cheese inside the omelette didn't taste like mozzarella. More like a white velveta cheese. Not my favorite but others might like it. My sister said her Reuben was average. My other sister said the same about her breakfast. Another sister liked her breakfast. PAC certainly isn't bad, it's average. I was just hoping it would be really good. Having said that, I am willing to give it another try and get something else this time and see if it's a different result - maybe lunch? Update: I came back and got a patty melt. Fries were fresh and good. I could only eat two bites of the melt. So greasy it was dripping and very bland. My husbands Irish Burger was average he said. I hate to leave reviews like this, but the food really is lacking in flavor (very bland) and extremely greasy. I wouldn't come back. The positive was the staff. They were so kind and our server even reimbursed my patty melt without me asking and after telling her she didn't need to. Hopefully they take the feedback and the food improves. read more

We had a friend tell us about how good the Penny Ann's was in SLC. I saw that there was in Bountiful, close to our daughters. When we arrived it seemed busy. It looked clean. The staff were pleasant and we were seated right away. The menu had a lot of wonderful sounding options. We were a party of 7 and our order was taken and service was quick. The food wasn't what any of us expected. My omelette was tissue paper thin with very little cheese. The potatoes had no flavor. One of our party ordered sausage and eggs and got only got one sausage, which was okay because it was so bad he couldn't eat it. The pancakes were thick sweet cake and were not good. We were all disappointed. Except our granddaughter said, hot chocolate was good. We won't be going back. read more

We flew into Salt Lake and were pleased to find out that the West Bountiful location opened that day. Drove in, and they had plenty of tables and plenty of help. Food was great as well as the service. This is definitely a PAC we will return to since it was so much easier to get to. read more

My daughter and I went early today, well before the Sunday morning rush. The food is good and the servers are awesome. Last time we were here my granddaughter that has been assaulted had to leave, I didn't understand. Today I got it. They have men, bushers posted at four corners. They act like pimps or pit bosses. It's a very odd vibe. One glared at me at positioned himself at 2:00. He couldn't see me, moved to 11:00 and stared. Again the place is empty. It's weird!!!! read more

Disappointing. Had high hopes after seeing the rating but its mediocre. Line was out the door at least 45 min. Was told thats a slow day. I found a seat at the bar so that was nice. Got chicken and waffles, so sad. They shred a chicken nugget and put it in the batter. You get almost no chicken. Had to order a side of nuggets to go on top. Staff was pleasant ish. No one was rude, but not a single person said hi or was smiling. Just chaos. And everyone looks unhappy. Avoid this place. read more
