Our new pre-show go-to on Main Street! We stopped into Ramblin Road before a show at Eccles, and honestly... I'm so glad we did. The space is huge -- plenty of room, no wait, and we were greeted the second we walked in. It immediately felt like the perfect low-stress start to the day. We spotted the Bloody Marys on the menu and said, "Why not?" They were so good we ended up ordering a second round without even thinking. Great flavor, great spice, and exactly what you want from a diner-style Bloody Mary. For food, we ordered the Breakfast Sandwich and the Eggs Benedict -- both came out looking amazing. So amazing that we dove in before taking pictures... so no evidence, but trust me, everything was delicious. Hot, fresh, and super satisfying. Service was friendly, fast, and relaxed in the best way. Between the big open space, great drinks, and genuinely good food, this might become our go-to spot before every Eccles show. A classic diner vibe right on Main Street -- love having this option. This place does a solid job carrying the torch. The menu is classic, old-school diner fare, and the portions are exactly what you expect from a proper diner: generous, filling, and no nonsense. It's in the old Lamb's location, which comes with some big shoes to fill. Lamb's is definitely missed, but this diner keeps the spirit alive. Ramblin Roads on Main Street in downtown Salt Lake City was a bit of a mixed experience for me. The biggest positive was the location, which is very convenient and only a few blocks from Temple Square. Unfortunately, that was where my enthusiasm mostly stopped. A large portion of the menu was sold out or unavailable, which at first felt promising, but ended up seeming more like poor planning than popularity. The food itself was mediocre and didn't really stand out one way or the other. Service was fine and pretty much what I would expect from a diner style restaurant, but nothing memorable. It works in a pinch because of the location, but it's not a place I would go out of my way to return to. read more

Great quick breakfast on a Saturday morning. Had a staycation with my daughter at the Kimpton hotel and this was just a block away. We were greeted right away and seated. Our orders were also immediately taken. The menu is extensive with a kids menu. The portions were also huge for the price. The decor has a country kitchen vibe, very homey. I got the veggie omelet and my daughter got the funny face pancake which she enjoyed. They also serve lunch and dinner. Only pitfall is there's no designated parking. read more

FINALLY! A diner on Main Street downtown SLC! How did this take so long?! Who cares, we are finally here and this place kills it! Just as a note, they are trying to figure out exact hours of operation. Open for breakfast, brunch and lunch, everyday. Still working out evening hours. Let's help them make this possible! Service: Spot on. Very Quick and our waitress was very friendly, quick and attentive. Couldn't have been better. We weren't waiting on anything. Food came out in the perfect amount of time. Food: umm, YUM! Came out perfectly. Eggs were cooked to perfection as poached eggs. An amazing amount of hollandaise sauce and the English muffin was tasted perfectly. The bacon wasn't over powering any other the other flavors. Ambiance: perfect main street diner vibes that we have ALL been waiting for. Mimosas: Peach mimosa, don't skip out on. So tasty! I have frequented the Midvale location for a while and just discovered the downtown Main Street location. I wondered why it took so long for a restaurant to go into the old Lambs Grill. It is nice to have a good affordable option for diner food. I have Sunday matinee tickets to the Eccles theater and because it is a Sunday, there is hardly anything open for brunch or lunch before the performance. The restaurant is just a few doors down from Eccles. I had the half sandwich (BLT) and chicken and wild rice soup, which was the perfect size since I didn't want to take my leftovers into the theater! My cousin had a salad which was ample with large candied walnuts. Service was efficient and fast. We were even able to just sit and visit after finishing our meals. Plenty of time to get to the theater. read more

Solid diner. I had the strawberry lemon crepes combo with hashbrowns, eggs, and bacon. The crepes were very good-- however more like a rolled pancake, but yummy. Hashbrowns maybe too oily but the only thing I didn't finish. Our server was kind and really on top of her job. 100% would return. read more

Must try the Utah Scone only $4.99. It's the size of a dinner plate. It is basically a fluffy double thick elephant ear, without the cinnamon sugar. Served with butter and jam. OMG you will be in fried dough heaven. Coffee was excellent and the cinnamon roll was ginormous. Also very good!! There was a lot more on the menu to eat but we were just wanting a coffee and a nice place to sit outside. read more

The downtown SLC location had posted to their website that they were open until 8 pm, so we headed over around 5:30 pm, only to find they had closed at 3. Frustrating when you consider downtown navigational challenges. The store in Layton gets 5 stars, however, as we tried them the next day. Great food, service, and plenty of spacing. read more

Ramblin Roads Restaurant 169 S. Main St. Salt Lake City Be very careful with this restaurant. We booked reservations for Mother's Day over two weeks ago and they were vague about their hours. I called back and spoke with the owner who confirmed they would be open. If not, I still had time to book reservations with another restaurant for a family of 15. It is 1:00 p.m. on Mother's Day. I just received a call from Ramblin Roads indicating they were going to close early and I needed to figure something else out for my family. Very frustrated right now. read more

I have visited other Ramblin road restaurants in both Layton and Ogden and had no idea this restaurant was even in downtown SLC until we walked by it and we decided to stop and eat our lunch. This place was very nice, very clean and the food was amazing. We had outstanding service and i would go back again. The only beef i had is the marginal parking available near this restaurant. read more
