Food was relatively good. I didn't enjoy my plate too much just felt like it was missing something but it wasn't made well. I'd come back to try something else. My bf's croissant sandwich looked pretty good, he said it was delicious. Little bit of a line but not a bad wait. Good came out within 15 mins. Lots of seating.

This is one of our favorite places to have breakfast, especially for our get-togethers with my beloved cousins! The food is delicious and the fact that there's a bakery here and we can purchase sourdough bread is the best. Love their pastries and lattes! Customer service is on point. Street parking available.

Been wanting to try this place out for a while now. Finally decided to take the time to find parking - (had to go up the hill to find an opening). Good vibe - Loved the open kitchen and communal type tables. You order at the counter and give a number so they can deliver it to your table when ready. Shakshuka was good, especially the pancakes, and their house bread. My daughter ordered the BLT- which she loved, and she's very picky. Only downside was their parking - 8 out of 10 for me. Enjoy.

The service was superb, the food delicious. I especially enjoyed the cappuccino, it was very Italian tasting. Next time I will come in earlier in the morning for a fresh pastry.

Penny Oven is a delicious and adorable food spot. We ordered the avocado toast, shakshuka, iced chai, and iced matcha with vanilla. Everything was delicious. Avocado toast was solid, a bit messy to eat. Shakshuka was also very yummy and came with 4 slices of the same bread as avocado toast. The shakshuka reminded me more of a curry than other shakshukas I've had before, but really tasty regardless. The chai was very sweet, but I enjoyed it a lot. My friend said the match was solid too. We had to find street parking around the corner and up a hill. It was a Monday at noon-ish, and not very packed. The food came out quickly. Would definitely return!

This spot is in the heart of downtown Eagle Rock and I'd say it's earned its spot in such a prime location on Colorado. Opted for the croissant sandwich which comes with ham, cheese, and a nice marmalade. It was a decent sized sandwich and was filling, especially with the side of potatoes. There was about a 4-5 person line when I came, but there was plenty of space and the food came out pretty quickly. Their menu was fairly large for a such a quaint shop and I'm intrigued by some of their other plates and drinks. Looking forward to another opportunity to stop by.

We came here for a quick brunch bit before driving home to AZ. Easy to find parking on the side of the building. There are so many local businesses you can walk around and visit them all. Penny Oven is so cute, cozy, & clean. When you walk in they have full size menus, that you can review before working down the ordering line. Everything I could see looked fresh and in house. I ordered the Croissant Sandwich (Ham & gruyere omelet with blood orange harissa marmalade on house croissant), Za'atar potatoes, bacon, and Red Dragon Iced Tea (House made cherry syrup bing cherries, green tea). We opted to sit outside patio. It was nice and shaded (THANK YOU)! All the food was so good and the staff was super friend and nice.

Penny Oven is one of those rare breakfast spots that combines quality, affordability, and atmosphere in all the right ways. Everything is made from scratch, but you won't find inflated prices here--just honest food that tastes like it was crafted with care. Fast casual experience, order your food at the counter and a food runner will deliver it. No surcharge added to your bill. No egg fee either. The open kitchen design adds to the experience--you can literally watch your meal come to life, from sizzling eggs to freshly baked pastries. It gives the space a welcoming, transparent vibe that's both comforting and engaging. It's also a fantastic place for groups. The tables are designed to accommodate a party of eight. Even if you're not a large group. Smaller parties are welcome to sit at these tables. There is a counter along the window . Which is perfect for one to two people. There's also al fresco on the sidewalk. I left full and happy, The side of Potatoes are seasoned perfectly and enough to share with another person. The toast is perfect for two or three. One bite and you will find it hard to stop eating the fresh housemate rustic bread paired with the perfect housemate strawberry jam. but it's nearly impossible to walk out without grabbing a few of their sweet or savory baked goods to go. Whether you're in for a quiet morning bite or a big group brunch, Penny Oven delivers with warmth, flavor, and just the right amount of indulgence.

Loved the ambiance, neighborhood, family and meet up with your friend's vibes at Penny Oven. Living in Vegas, not the same. You could say, we drove up from Vegas for this! Seriously, en route to San Diego for an event with friends, we missed our exit and long story short, I've wanted to come here for a while, so we did! It's a lovely restaurant, your order is placed at the counter and delivered to your table, you help yourself to water and silverware across from the counter. Everything was delicious, especially the Dutch baby, our mushroom, bacon and cheddar omelette, mushroom coffee and the sour dough whole grain toast. I would love to have stocked up on one of every pastry as they looked so delicious! Next time...

Penny Oven is a corner breakfast/lunch and bakery spot in Eagle Rock. It's located between Caspar ave and Colorado blvd. We came to grab breakfast and drinks. It was my first time. They have an abundant pastries, drinks and interesting breakfast menu items. I had a hot Latte and Croissant Sandwich which was thick, soft, flaky on top and tasty. A simple Sunday breakfast. Service staff were nice, competent and professional. Prices were fair for the area. Atmosphere was vibrant. They have indoor and outdoor seats. Overall, I had a good experience and enjoyed my breakfast sandwich/coffee. I recommend this shop.

Good food and really nice place to sit and eat. Their sourdough bread is so good! The eggs Benedict was yummy. The Shakshuka was a bit watery but tastes great.

The espresso leaned noticeably bitter from the first sip through the finish, and it was served a bit hotter than ideal, which made it harder to pick up sweetness and clarity in the cup. The milk texture was decent, but not quite as polished as my previous visit. That said, this is still a very cool coffee shop. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience during my visit this morning. There was a miscommunication with my coffee and my daughter's chocolate milk, as both were initially served hot. I politely asked if they could be remade cold, and the staff member kindly agreed. However, when the drinks were returned, it was clear that ice had simply been added to the hot beverages. As a result, both drinks were watered down and unpleasant. By the time I got home, I had to throw my coffee away because it tasted so poor, and my daughter's chocolate milk had the same issue. I was very disappointed, especially after clearly requesting the drinks to be remade cold. It felt like a waste of money and did not reflect the quality of service I have come to expect from Zweets Café. I am sharing this feedback in hopes that it helps improve future service, as I truly value your café and would like to continue being a loyal customer. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
