I highly recommend going to Morgan Crabtree in Zone 3 for your services. I've had two different services with her so far a facial and a lash lift and tint and both were excellent. She makes sure you're comfortable throughout the entire process. I've had lash lifts and tints done twice before at other med spas where my eyes burned both times, but I experienced no irritation at all with Morgan. The results are also the best I've ever had. I have had multiple bad experiences at this school. I've been going to beauty schools all my life for haircuts and colors without incident. But this place is a nightmare! The students are rude, easily offended and unwilling to admit when they make a mistake. The staff unfortunately backs them! I made a request of one young lady and she ignored me. Just flat out didn't respond. When I said "please respond when I speak to you" she just walked away. Then the instructor came back and said "I'll be finishing your service today. You offended our student." So much enabling it's just horrifying! I've never had such bad experiences in any hair service place in my life! Another time they turned my hair from Auburn to Black without apologizing. They blamed it on my hair. So unprofessional! And when I said it was black they argued with me. Apparently it's more important to be right than to be polite to your client there. Stay away and save yourself the trouble! read more

Generally, when managing employees, your first response would be "I will look into this- and IF we find any wrongdoing, we will rectify the situation and take appropriate measures" - instead she completely denied & gave me a weak platitude devoid of any warmth or sincerity. Oh my goodness! Terrible Student Salon. I thought I had lowered my expectations enough. I went in for color and cut. Arrived at 9:25 for a 9:30 appointment. 40 min later they told me the original student was doing something else so they found a new student Jane and said they would comp the hair trim. After the nightmare of a day I FINALLY left the salon at 4:50pm!! That's 7 1/2 hours. Yes you read that right! Seven and a half hours. The student clearly had not had enough practice on dummies before taking people and the other student who later started assisting her was enjoying being chatty about everything but my hair and not paying attention! I have color spots all through my hair. It's not even the color I asked for. They should have paid me for sitting in their chair that long! ALL DAY!! I had to cancel a Dr appt that afternoon because I still had foils in my hair. And then they ran out of time before closing so no free haircut. OMG never ever again!! Horrible! No I'm not going back to allow them to fix it. Now I have to tell my hair guy what I did and have him fix it. read more

I absolutely recommend Penrose. It's always great to be able to give back to the community and help to train individuals as well as get really good service for a fraction of the price. My only complaint about Penrose is that the parking is absolutely atrocious. Like beyond atrocious. It's so bad that they warn you about it and then you're pretty much left to your own devices to find parking. If you're five minutes late and getting a Med Spa treatment, they'll just move onto to the next client. This is all disclosed, but I'm here to tell you the parking is worse than I could've ever imagined. So leave plenty of time. read more

It took longer than a facial at a regular salon, but that is not surprising since these are students and the supplies they use are not close by. You certainly can't beat the price.
