The prices are very reasonable and the stock was not your average thrift store stock. They had some very unique and top end items. On top of enjoying a treasure hunt in a well organized and clean environment the money you spend helps animals in need. Make it one of your pop in spots. You never know when your next treasure is waiting which may just be a friendly visit and good conversation with the staff!

Because…read moreI had forgotten to pack my brand new snow boots (I know...), my husband's friend suggested that we check out Goodwill to see if I can find anything. But she did warn us that this locations often times inflate their prices, in which she nicknamed "greed-will". The day we arrived, it was snowing and a little windy. Definitely a cold winter day and not the best idea to forget your snow boots at home, in California. Anyways, with any thrift store, you just have to look and see if you find anything good or anything you are looking for in particular. There was a nice pair of black snow boots with little wear on it but was surprised to find that the pair was $25 at the register, as the item was not marked. I paid less for my new boots that I had purchased online (and my shoes were even thicker quality). But my friend did get a 20% off since she is a senior citizen so we were able to get a slight discount to save a little bit off (although later on I found out that there was a hole on the soul and really should have gone to purchase brand new show shoes... oh well, lesson learned... don't leave your snow shoes at home while on a road trip, during winter). We did purchase other items, which did seem better priced. So I am not sure what is the mindset of the prices marked in the store. Some toys and books that I saw were brand new and priced very cheaply (which I did ended up purchasing a few things) and then some items, like clothes were heavily marked up when clearly those items were worn. But just as my friend had told us, she has found plenty of great stuff at this Goodwill before and will often browse. And if she finds something that she wants, and if it is at a good price, she will purchase it. I think if we lived in this area, most likely I would come back to browse since I do like to thrift for my DIY projects from time to time. Please note that on the receipt, there is a 7 day return policy. But customers will only receive store credit that is good for up to one year, based on the date printed on the original receipt. If you return items without the purchase receipt or tag attached, you will only receive $1. Also returns are not accepted on discounted items, new or seasonal items. So purchase wisely.

This is a new Goodwill that opened up last year. The store is bright and clean and a pleasure to…read moreshop at. One of the first things I noticed was the lack of fitting rooms. There are none. The only way to try things on is over your clothes. That works for tops, but not so much for pants. Other Goodwills in Arizona keep their fitting rooms locked. That used to be due to Covid, but now they won't open them due to people trashing them or stealing in them. I have found some great bargains here. As with most Goodwill's, pricing is inconsistent. Some clothing items are overpriced. Kid's clothes should not be priced as high as they are. But their prices seem to be largely better than the competing Goodwill on Iron Springs. One of my better finds was a duffel for the gym. Paid $4.99. Books are also priced well. The employees are friendly and helpful. Parking is ample. This is one of my favorite places to shop. Nice clean bathrooms too.

Then he stuck my big beautiful vein and managed to get air in the line so the blood was contaminated, bruising my arm and dismissing very quickly. Very bad and I won't be donating to the Red Cross again.

It's around $15 for my son and I to and swim, I like that they have a family room where you can store your things in lockers, they have bathrooms w/showers in the family room, I still bring all my belongings out in the pool area, you can bring your own snacks which is convenient. My boy who is 11, likes to swim in the deep area, he did have to take a swim test his first time to make sure he can swim in that area, once he passed, they made him wear and orange bracelet, now anytime we go, we just tell a lifeguard he passed and they're ok with him just grabbing a bracelet and putting it on every time, no need to take test again. When we would go, on weekends, water slide doesn't open till 11, overall this is a convenient place to go when you feel like swimming. With it being indoors though, the chlorine smell is strong, but tolerable. The lifeguards are very nice as well.

I grew up going to summer camp in Prescott during my teenager years. Not long ago, I had an…read moreopportunity to volunteer as a cabin leader at UCYC during the summer. It was my first time at this particular camp and it brought back many memories of my camp days growing up. UCYC is a non-denominational, non-profit organization that is affiliated with the Independent Christian Churches in both Arizona and Nevada. UCYC (United Christian Youth Camp) started in the 1950s. UCYC has both summer and winter camps. They offer a number of activities for the kids. Activities include a zipline, swimming pool, basketball, paintball and archery. The campus is pretty large and includes a dining hall and main auditorium for larger gatherings. My only knock about this camp is the long walk from some of the cabins to the other side of camp where the dining hall is. Walking that far three times a day for food got old quick. But the food wasn't too bad for camp food. I am big fan of kids unplugging from their devices and going to camp to have fun and meet new friends. Some of my best times as a youth were at camp. It is a great place for kids to grow in their faith too. I had a blast being a leader and getting to know other leaders while I was here at UCYC.

We donate many items to them because of their commitment to the local community. We know of several folks that volunteer by working at the facility. You must get donations dropped off before 2:00pm though. We have also found items to purchase for use at home eg replace a broken crock pot top, a lost appliance cord. Etc etc. We are downsizing and selling items on eBay, Craigslist, FB etc is a pain it's so much easier to donate and you can get a receipt for tax deduction.
