I give this business 2 stars kindly because they will get your car back to you within a good amount of time, most of the time; however, I brought my car in for an oil change recently (have a 2015 accord sport 2.4l), and it's not like it's the first time they've seen me and taken care of me, which is neither here nor there - it's besides the point and rather, that shouldn't be a problem either. I've been a reliable and good customer to them for about a few years now, getting alignments, new tires and brakes, pads, rotors, tire rotations, etc.. The shit they pulled on me last time was the final and only straw needed to prevent me from going there again - $90 for a synthetic oil change! My car takes 4.4 quarts of oil. They use a $36 jug, which comes new with 5 quarts, so they don't even use the whole fucking jug, and they charge $90. These people are scam artists/conmen, and honestly since I paid cash last time, I feel like they tried pocketing the money for themselves! But I couldn't let that go. I went back in the next day to get $30 in cash back, and originally the manager said he'd return $40 back to me after arguing over the phone for 20 minutes. So all in all, I paid roughly $60 for a full synthetic oil change. That's still ridiculous when you can do it yourself for cheaper, and it doesn't require much work at all. Or take it someplace else to get it changed. I hope this place either gets demolished or goes out of business because the people in charge there are incompetent, unloyal and disrespectful. They're idiots working on people's cars. Don't go here. I'm done with this place - boycott it. Their big thing is they'll install parts and a bunch of extra shit you don't need, and then they'll say "your total is $$$," when you honestly don't even know what they're putting on your car, or what parts they're using. Bunch of scumbags working here. $90 for a oil change. They can lick my balls - change your oil yourself people. It only takes about 10-15 minutes, and they charge like $40 just for labor. Fuckin "Scamboys" is what the place should be called. I can't stress this enough - Pepboys will rip you off beyond belief! Also too, George C and Vladimir that work at the auto repair front desk should be fired. They're uncaring, unprofessional, arrogant, selfless pricks with only one intent - to charge the customer the most money possible and try to get away with it. I had gotten my oil changed there previously; full synthetic for about $40-50, can't remember, but yea - they're pricks. They'll try to take advantage of you in any way possible. Screw this place, and the pictures on Google look nothing like the actual building. What place charges $90 for a Honda Accord oil change? Never goin back here again. I should give it 1 star, but the manager José and another guy, Nathan, were always nice, professional, and actually knew what they were talking about. Go check out Scotty Kilmer's YouTube channel. Just trying to save people some money you don't need to spend! I'd much rather give a homeless person $40 cash to go buy a nice bottle of liquor, cigarettes and/or food, than give $40 to a crooked mechanic/crooked business all over 20 minutes of labor to change the oil. Excellent service provided. That and the best price around town when it comes to tires for your vehicle. So I have an Audi Q3 2018 and after taking a rep to the dealer, I was told that I had to replace the 4 tires and the dealer priced it at around $2k. Then I decided to shop around and found this Pep Boys location and wow!!!! They charged me half the price for everything, got my new tires installed in about 1 1/2 and let me just say this, the store manager, Jose Días and the service technician that worked in the car, they both provides excellent quality service. Would recommend this place 110%, and remember ask for Jose, and make sure Mariano services your vehicle. read more

Took my car there to have a screw removed from my tire, 5 hours later I had to call them to get an update and was told the screw couldn't be removed and I needed a new tire- the screw was inn the center of the tire nowhere near the side wall. I told them no way in hell am I buy a new tire because of a screw in the tread, but he did tell me they found a screw in another tire that they were able to remove which is complete bs because I religiously check my tires for nails and pressure. When I told them ok what do I owe for that "nail" to be removed I was told don't worry about it we are not going to charge your for that. They knew they were caught in a lie red handed. This place sucks don't waSte your time or money here, they are dishonest thiefs. Corporate needs to shut this place down or clean house! George is a complete scam artist at the Davie Location. I had an appointment for work to be done , which they layed on me when I went in for an oil change. I made an appointment a few days in advance.Made sure the quote was for the same amount. Guy says " yup got it right here on the computer" " Come in early so we can get your car done sooner" I did. When I got there . George called me over. I knew I was screwed instantly as he ripped me off on brakes last time I was there. And sure enough. George had NO IDEA who I was. Came here WITH an appointment asking them to simply put my rear view mirror back on after it had fallen off, and it took them 2.5 hours while I waited in the waiting room. They didn't even take my car back for an hour. No one had any sense of urgency, and when they finally put the slide piece on, it wasn't centered or installed correctly. I came back the next day for them to slide the mirror on the piece, and that took them an hour because only one person in the entire shop knew how, was on a "test drive" for over an hour, and no one wanted to touch it. Never coming here again. Came in for 2 new tires and was told it would take 2 1/2 hours ( which shouldnt take that long at all BUT there could be a long line so it was totally fine since I came in the morning well before work or picking up my kids ). 4 hours go by and still no call from anyone so at this point I had to pay for an uber and pick up my kids and ride back to check on my car. I ask why I havent gotten any calls yet or at least to know what's going on with my car and was just told "it's next". I asked why after 4 hours it hasn't been touched or why no one at least told me if it was going to take longer and seemingly frustrated he replied, " 2 guys just went on lunch, your car will take another 45 minutes to an hour after they get back". I came to pep boys to get an oil change I found online for $49.99 w/ a $20 coupon I got online and I brought with me. When I get to my appointment, he tells me it's $99 then $20 off. I tell them when I booked online, the price was $49.99 and for them to pull it up on their website. After 20 minutes of going back and forth w/ and employee, he decides to pull it up online and see what I actually booked. So finally he decides to honor my price, but not until he tells me the filter for my car is going to cost me an additional $12.99... at this point I'm already here for. Half hour, frustrated and ready to just be done once again w/ a crappy oil change experience. Why are these places so shady? Don't come here. There are better options. I sat down in the waiting room and all 3 other clients said that they were happy I stuck up for what I saw online and made them honor it. apparently I should have read some reviews before I called. It is now 9:45AM on a Monday. I called this Pep Boys directly just before 9:00AM. They answered after approximately 2 minutes of hearing the phone ring, a message telling me to hold, the phone ring, a message telling me to hold....someone finally answered. My exact words were "How much to install rear brake pads on an 08 Accord?" I was told (not asked) to wait...and I have sat here with them on speaker phone for 45 minutes. I've been getting work done and had already decided this was a CRAZY long wait for such a simple question...but I was curious how long it would take them to answer. At 45 minutes I just hung up. 9am appointment, staff didn't show up until 9:15 and opened the doors at 9:20 and didn't even greet all of the customers waiting outside. Then took customers who walked in, instead of taking those with appointments. Store needs to change management, and should probably hold a few training sessions on customer service. I went in here for an oil change. When I left, my car felt a little strange and my air conditioning wasn't working. I popped the hood, and the mechanic had left the cap open, the engine unplugged (I drive a VW), and didn't bother to put anything back! When I came back, they took a look and apologized saying that they forgot to put it back when they were checking the filter. The Russian manager during this process was extremely rude and flat out refused to take a look. It was only one of the mechanics that looked at it for me. My car's check engine light came on, so instead of going to my normal dealership (because it was literally just there) I decided to take it to a Pepboys around my house. My car had been making pretty terrible noises so I thought something extremely bad was wrong with it, and was expecting a pretty high payment (2012 Range Rover Evoque). Turns out my oil was completely empty! Scott, one of the employees at Pepboys, was so incredibly nice to me about the entire thing. I am only 26, it was my first time bringing my car somewhere new without my parents help, and he did not take advantage of my age, lack of car knowledge, nor my wallet! He constantly contacted me throughout the day with updates. He was so thoughtful to show me which oil I needed to buy for my specific car, since it has a turbo engine, and he educated me on how easy it was to maintain myself (may seem like a small task to a car person, but for me it was learning it for the first time)! Went to my local Pep Boys in Davie Florida to get a specific connector to a battery tender that I have. First I called and they were very fast to say that they did not carry that part. I took a ride anyway and showed them the tender and they said "no" we do not have that part. I walked around the store and found the battery tenders and it happened to be the same brand. Next to the tenders was the exact connector that I needed for $7.99. I think the store needs better help that knows their products that they sell. This is not the first time this has happened at this store. Very disappointed and will do my best to give my business to other similar auto part stores. read more

The estimate provided was more than fair for the work to be performed. Dealer would have charged me double that amount easily. Rolando was very professional and courteous. Don't waste your time and money coming here this people are not trustworthy and they take forever to take care you, last time I was here they took aprox 2:30 hours to start working on my car on a Thursday very slow day and they were not busy at all that is why I don't understand why they took so long to start working on my car. I drive an older Tundra, but it has very low mileage. I began hearing a squeaking sound several weeks ago and it was getting progressively worse. I brought my car to the dealership to have it checked out. They wanted to do a ton of work and charge me several thousand dollars. For a second opinion I went to Pep Boys. Bob and his team were wonderful. In less than a day, they fixed my U-Joints slapped on new tires, and still saved me more than 2/3 of the dealers estimate. I can't speak for anyone else, and I can't say that every person will have a similar experience, but mine was wonderful. I know that I'll continue to go back there as long as the service and skill set continues to get the job done well and for a fair price. read more

My boyfriend had a nail in his tire and it was really bad and needed a new one, we went to two places that turned us away before coming to this pep boys. We drove 10mph to get here because his tire was almost running on the rim. We couldn't make it all the way to the store and were stopped in the parking lot at Best Buy a little away. So i walked over to pep boys to see what they could do and the manager and an employee named Darrell were happy to help even though this was 25 minutes before their closing time. I came here instead of my normal loyalty to autozone because they were having a wiper sale. Once inside I was impressed buy the friendliness of staff, and the cleanliness of the store. What I didn't like was the organization. There are displays scattered around the store with items on them (such as wipers) that are not in the regular section, so good luck hunting them down. Also, the normal books that I use to figure out wch wipers I need are no longer on the shelf. I had to find a guy who looked it up on the computer. Which is the positive part. I did not have to look for that guy. By the moment I realized there were no books the clerk was right there looking up my car on the computer to give me the specs. So the service was great and I found my wipers tight away. But still, the organization and the lack of do it yourself books, not what I really want in an auto store. So I was minding my own buiz for an hour and didn't get any call so went back to store and only to find out my car was in exactly the same spot where I left there and NO mechanics were present. Erik would not say a single apology to me and said he cannot tolerate customer's complaint and gave me my car key and told me to leave. Waited 40 minutes in line when we had an appointment. Paid for an oil change and tire rotation. Asked them numerous times if they completed the tire rotation and they said yes. Went to pick up the car and no tire rotation had been done at all, they also didn't use the coupon we gave them. Had to back to get them to use the coupon, cashier lied to our face about applying the coupon, had to have another associate give us our money back. I will tell you that I am a person that loses everything and I rely on my husband a lot of the time to find stuff because I can't see things right in front of my face and my fibro fog definitely does not help with that. lol ANYWAYS. I lost my phone, backtracked my steps, looked (almost) everywhere, and couldn't find it so I just started freaking out. Employees called it, looked on the security footage, and helped me search the store. Just when I was about to full on start crying at the thought of losing all of the pictures and videos of my kids, one of the employees walked up with it in his hand and made me the happiest person (and most embarrassed hahaa). I've been going to this location for over 20 years. Went to get some touch up paint. First walked in the cashier was playing with his phone and wasn't helpful (no initiative). However, once I made my way back to the parts desk I was amazed at the taking of ownership to service the customer. The parts advisor walked me over to the the paint area and made several attempts to find the color I was looking for. Unfortunately the manufacturer didn't make the color I needed. Made 1:00 appointment to purchase and install 4 tires. At time of appointment/purchase, I was told that service would take 2 hours. There was one vehicle being worked on and mine would be next. Pep Boys would phone me when ready. 4 hours later (5:00 PM) I called to check status. The vehicle was now finally being worked on and would be ready in 30 minutes. 5:35, I arrived, vehicle was still on lift with tires finally being installed. The paperwork was started while they were still installing on the lift. Magically they finished just before quitting time and backed the vehicle out so I could drive away. 5 hours is much too long for a promised 2-hour job. Also, they never did the "electronic alignment" that I paid for. I purchase 4 tires including installation. I selected tires on-line before visit with a $311.00 total price. At counter, the price was approximately $99.00 higher. The explanation given was this was for a required "electronic alignment" that was required or the warranties would not be valid. Reluctantly, I accepted this was overprice service. Unfortunately, I did not check the clerk's arithmetic and found that I was being charged not only the extra $99.00 but also another unexplained $$22.91 for a total of $432.91 or $463 with sales tax. When I checked out, the clerk tried to charge $585. When questioned, I received the answer that it was sales tax with was clearly fraudulent. I objected and they reconfirmed. I then really fussed and demanded a copy of my signed estimate and they magically found that they could correct the price to $478. I still objected and they then reluctantly (after I threatened fraud) Pep Boys reduced it to the originally agreed $463 estimate. Despite this, the "electronic alignment" was never done. read more

Too bad theres nothing less than one star. This is probably the worse experience I ever had getting a gift card. Please do yourself a favor and stay far far away from this place. I purchased a gift card for $500.00 yesterday. As soon as I got it and my debit card went thru something happen to Their system and the gift card was invalid, basically they couldn't figure out how to put the money I already paid into the gift card. So they gave me an empty gift card and told me is ok, everything went well. When I called gift card department they told me the gift card didn't have any money so I came back to figure it out. After an hour of Eduardo, who by the way was the ONLY person at pep boys that wanted to help there was no resolution. He first called the manager Franklin Fernandez who basically told him I don't know call the IT department which he did and they told him call the gift card department which he did none of the department or manager knew what to do or couldn't he bother to ever find out and figure It out.... the bank can't do anything as now I have to put a claim for the money and wait... this is how we ended: so sorry, nothing we can do, bye. Worst customer service I ever experienced, Eduardo tried, nice guy, but he didn't know what to do. I'm short 500, no gift card and no resolution from pep boys!. Great job guys. I am a female and healthcare worker who had the unfortunate experience of getting a flat tire after my 12 hr shift ended. Drove slowly to Pepboys in Davie, and waited in the lot until they opened. When Jose arrived, he came over to see what i needed and said give me a few minutes while I open. I was so tired and overwhelmed. After he opened, came out brought me inside, took my keys and brought my car right in for inspection. After the tire was removed, he came right over and explained the extent of the damage and provided options. I decided to get a new tire which was very reasonably priced and got everything done in less than an hour so i could go home and sleep. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone that needs tire repair, servicing, etc. They are not only professionals, but realizes everyone's time is very important and do not waste it.
