First time taking my car to this location for an oil change. I was quite pleased with my experience. When I got there this morning, there were five cars ahead of me. As a result, I was expecting to be here for a while. To my pleasant surprise, I was out of there in only 45 minutes. Shout out to the employees for working quickly. I guess my only gripe about this place (and really about all auto shops in general) is that they try hard to convince you that you need to have your air filters replaced. Went to this location for an oil change and it was great. The staff were really nice and welcoming and also helped me with some education on my vehicle. As a first time driver, anything involving a mechanic and issues with my car can be intimidating, so it was nice to have people explain things. I was provided the prices for an oil change and decided to go with a full synthetic for $100. I also found a coupon online that took $10 off so that was a great value. I waited inside the waiting area for like 30 mins and it was done! The staff were also able to run a diagnostic and provide me with details of other items that may need to be changed in the near future, they were also able to note and itemize those changes so I could better plan. Are you kidding me an hour and a half waiting when there was only one car or two cars ahead of me All I needed was an Uber inspection. Uber's done with the inspection in about 7 minutes these guys had me pull in the car so they could look underneath it they had to look at all the shocks all the tires all the brakes they had to have me turn on all the lights off signals they had to check the water to make sure the windows wipers were working... What a waste of time at the other jiffy lube I thought this one would be different at the other jiffy lube the lady had to sit in all seat belts and make sure they fastened... Here's the reality jiffy lube is always there to make recommendations oh yeah even when you probably don't even need it remember when they weren't even changing the oil and they got caught in that scam a few years back come on guys an hour and a half...total bs! Decided to use a Groupon at this location for a basic oil change. It took over an hour before my vehicle was even attended to. The most frustrating part was the lack of respect and how staff were unnecessarily revving the engine. Let me start by saying that I'm not quick to run to Yelp and slam someone's business. As a business owner myself, I understand how that can affect a business. So, it usually takes a few bad interactions for me, and here we have it. So, just this week, I took three of my nine vehicles to this jiffy. The first done, right the second was two quarts low and the third I was charged $600 for a transmission service on a transmission that was already trash says an actual transmission shop that I took my vehicle to immediately after and the Transmission shop said jiffy beat me on purpose. The transmission shop said if Jiffy Tech was reputable, he would have scanned the trans first, and he would have realized that the transmission was no good. In this economy , taking $60 bucks off someone's table is tough, let alone $600 bad business read more

Really disappointing customer service. Went in at 2pm on Tuesday for an engine diagnostic. Had called prior and they said there'd be little wait. Got to the store and was told I had to wait 30 minutes for the mechanic to get back from another shop. All the while there's 5 employees on site. I later find out they prioritized a flat tire replacement that had came in after me. I might not have minded if they had mentioned it to me, but I ended up waiting 75 minutes without even having my car moved into the bay. Never checked on or updated on progress the entire time. Ended up cancelling the service. Little regard for customer time. The casualness of the employees bothered me a bit too. Overheard them making fun of a customer for how worn his rotors were. If you care for your car and want to make sure maintenance is done right, DON'T COME HERE. Manager was very condescending, the line techs were inexperience. Not trust worthy. Didn't even fill up fluids. Immediately went to a separate location and they showed us, not only did they didn't fill up fluids which we got charged for, but they left puddles of oil under the hood and did not clean it. Pretty rough experience. My last oil change was Valvoline and they were super professional and effective. This time I went to Jiffy Lube because I had a very nice coupon which cut the price in half. However it was almost not worth it. I considered leaving a few times while there... I initially went Thursday afternoon and they had a few cars before mine. No one approached my car or welcomed me, so after 5 minutes I yelled into the garage could someone help me. A man yelled "oil change?" And I said ya. Then he went away and a few minutes later he came over again. I asked how long and he said probably about an hour, we're understaffed... I said customer service-wise it would be good to greet me and say the estimated wait time. He said thanks for the feedback, and if you come in the morning we're usually less busy. So I went back at 9 the next morning, sat there in my car and no one greeted me for five minutes. Was about to leave when a man came and asked me what I needed. Then it took half an hour before I was pulled into the bay. And almost left towards the end of that time, as it looked very haphazard what they were doing and I doubted I'd be getting great service. After about 10 minutes they motioned I was done. No info offered about what they found, fluids, etc. I said what about fluids he said they're fine, I said did you check the turn signals, etc. as it says in included and he said you want that? I'm like, ya... Bottom line is I was spoiled by how amazingly professional my last change at Valvoline was. They called out checklists with two people working g on my car at once. Offered lots of communication and information about the process and their progress. Granted JiffyLube did have a sign saying they are hiring all levels, managers on down, so maybe this is a staffing problem. If I didn't have the great coupon I'd definitely choose Valvoline over this experience. Too chaotic. Meanwhile I'm sure the guys were doing their best, and I did get an oil change for a good price, so thanks. I hope management can see this and work on customer experience at this location. read more

Literally sat in my car for 45 minutes while they assisted people who arrived after me. Made me get out of the third lane, where I'd been at the front waiting for them to get the invoice started, to get to the back of the line in the third lane, only to have them move the cars ahead of me in the first line (who get there after me) into that line. Then still did not process the invoice of the car in front of me (who got there about 20 minutes after me) until right now. I took my 2019 subaru crosstrek for a synthetic oils change, and they gave me a synthetic blend with a 5 dollar oil filter. And didn't put back my oil cap and while I drove home my whole engine bay was soaked with oil, they left the cap on top of the battery. Overall the damage and lack of answering the phone is horrible.I am also now missing 3 screws that connect to my air filter after my visit, I will personally go in tomorrow morning in hopes of them refunding me, or redoing the oil change and cleaning my engine by steam. I will not recommend this place to anyone who cares about their vehicle, and anyone who cares about quality products, because they used all cheap brands, and charged top dollar. read more

I understand with covid everybody is struggling but I am disappointed with these big companies passing passing their struggle down to the consumer. Why lie? I came across this Jiffy Lube when the other two nearby were not open. I knew something foul was afoot when they had me change lanes twice, Then the tech asked me to get out of the car that it would make the service easier, I Obliged. A few minutes later one of the techs came in tried to upsell me some services I told them no I just want an oil change, the tech said ok and walked back out. He came in again a few seconds later and asked which Jiffy Lube did I visited before this one? I explained that I went one near my area, I asked why? The tech said yeah your oil plug is stripped and the pit guy can not get it off and I have to go back to the jiffy lube I went to previously. Stereotypes are intriguing to me... some are wildly inaccurate, while others are spot on. This place ended up fitting the latter, with no surprise to me. And the stereotype I'm talking about here is Jiffy Lube being shady with their business practices. I was out of town the day before, when I realized the brakes on my back tires were in need of service or replacement. Once I was back in LA the following morning, I scouted around to see which shops were open on Sunday. My usual mechanic was not, so I made a call to these guys. I made my way here, and one of the guys in the shop approached me. I told them what I needed, and he asked me to leave my keys in my car while I waited in the lobby. After about a 30 minute wait, the same guy called me over to the desk to discuss what he found. He claimed that I needed to completely replace the brakes, front and back, and put blame on the person who initially installed them. I knew he was lying to me because he never inspected my car. I had a clear view of my car the entire time, and he never even moved my car from where I left it. I also recently had the front brakes and struts replaced. The person who installed my brakes is the same mechanic that I've gone to for years, who has been honest with me, and has never nickel-and-dimed me. The only other shop that surpassed this Jiffy Lube location with their shady practices was T-Tak, where some guy by the name of "Sato San" falsely claimed to have worked for the Japanese government as a mechanic. They went out of business quick. That was either an attempt at a last-minute desperate cash-grab, or they were a front to something shadier. This Jiffy Lube location has not gone out of business, however. So this is a forewarning to fellow Yelpers and all consumers out in the world. I want to start by saying that I've been going to Jiffy Lube centers for many years, starting from when I lived on the East Coast. Also, since living in Hawthorne for the past 4 years, I've been going to this particular Jiffy Lube and have been satisfied with my service. Until now. On my most recent visit on 8/24/21 for the signature service, the technician told me I needed to replace my brake fluid, and then said I needed new brakes and rotors (in fact, while he checked my tires before he told me, he was singing some tune and somehow worked how bad my brakes looked into the lyrics, which caught my attention). He said my brake pads were really worn down and that with one of them I was practically metal-on-metal. I told him that was odd because I had gotten new brakes a couple of years back. Also, my brakes didn't squeak, nor did they 'feel' off. But he insisted my brakes were worn down. Now when I arrived, I did notice a new sign that said Jiffy Lube now offers brake service, so him telling me I needed new brakes felt suspicious. He told me it would cost $840 to replace them. I told him I doubted they needed replacing but that I would take them to my mechanic to have him check to be safe (this is not the same mechanic who replaced my brakes). I did do the brake fluid service. Anyhoo, I dropped my car off at my mechanic the following morning and he called later to say my brakes were fine and they have plenty of life left in them. So that visit was a complete waste of time for myself, my mechanic, and my husband who had to take time off work to take me there and back. So after that experience, I will not be returning to that JL (will just go to my mechanic for oil change service) because I cannot trust I won't be offered some unnecessary service. Thanks read more
