This is only the third Pep Boys I've ever been to, but I received great service here and would recommend this location if you're nearby. I went here a few weeks back for a punctured tire. I could visibly see one nail in it, but I found out from the mechanic later that there were two large nails through it going opposite directions! I was so happy they were able to spare the tire instead of having to replace it. With a patch job I was in and out within about an hour and a half and that includes time spent with them multi-tasking on other vehicles, so I was satisfied. I was a little skeptical at first, as I was not greeted immediately upon my arrival. No one was in the front of the store. After about five minutes or so, the manager came out and took care of me. After I saw what kind of customers he was dealing with though and seeing how few workers there were, it was completely understandable. I felt bad as there were customers arguing in the store and on the phone with the manager about unreasonable things - matters out of his control clearly. The manager (not sure if he's still there now) handled everything calmly and professionally though. This place also caters to bilingual needs too - Spanish and English, so that was very helpful to many that came through also. With the overall quality and efficiency of work, honesty in practices, professionalism, and pricing I would definitely come back to this location if I need to. read more

The employees at this location are very courteous and exceed expectations! I went to two different Pep Boys on the same day and received two levels of customer service. This location won my business with the way they treated me and handled the situation. I needed a new tire because I had a tire go flat due to a screw in the tire in a place which couldn't be plugged. They didn't have the tire in stock; however, they ordered one from other store, took my wheel with the flat tire so they could replace it while I still ran errands, called me when it was ready to go back on, took less than 5 minutes to do that and put my spare tire and Jack in the allotted storage area in my trunk. My car was leaking radiator fluid so my BF took it up here on 10/13. After they drained the radiator fluid and took a look at it, the Mgr came back with a quote for a job that would have cost me $700. I'm glad my BF decided to take it to another shop that ran the same test and came back with a quote of $225. He then took it to another shop and they came back with the same quote of $225. Now, I'm no expert on car repair but there seems to be a HUGE gap in quote/costs..sounds like PB was trying to RIP us off. I used to go to Just Brakes and I'm not sure if the same idiots work there but I was not satisfied the 2 times I got work done at JB and looks like nothing has changed. PB why are you trying to rip off hard-working people who come to you and put their faith and trust in you to fix their car issues?? Just think of how many people have received BS quotes from them and ended up paying sky high prices because they trust you guys!!! I'm putting you rat bastards on notice!!! I had a flat tire which needed fixing. I luckily was able to change the tire to the spare, but I didn't want to drive to Woodstock from Norcross on a spare. I looked for a tire store near me. The first Pep Boys I called on Lawrenceville Hwy was already closed (it was 6 PM). I called the next one at 4148 Jimmy Carter Blvd and they answered. I asked how late they were open (7 PM) and explained my situation. They said if I brought it down they could help me - it should take 35 minutes to fix and mount the tire. I was only 5 minutes away. I got there and was greeted by Thomas. He said Larry would be able to check my tire for me. Unfortunately, they found not one, but two nails in my tire and one was on the edge where it couldn't be patched. :( That meant I needed a new tire. They checked their stock and - as luck would have it - they found my exact tire! The only one they had! They changed my tire and mounted it back on the car. They made sure to drive it around the parking lot to ensure it was secure. They were really super! Friendly, professional, helpful - I was extremely grateful for their help. Overpriced, bad workmanship, don't count on brakes lasting or using warranty. Ricardo is full of it. Front brakes and back brakes done at same. Front brakes fine back brakes gone to point where need new rotors after 4 months. Ricardo says normal where and tear cant cover the nearly new rotors that were on truck. Bought Groupon special for oil change, rotation, brake inspection. At $12, sounded like it was too good to be true. I asked for a 'synthetic oil' upgrade. NEVER in my life did I think it was going to cost me an extra $55!!! Talk about bait and switch! The mechanic showed me the oil they would use. Halvoline synthetic, nothing special. He said its more expensive (of course) costs $7 per Quart. My Maxima uses 4.5 quarts w/filter change. When I check out, I go into sticker shock! Total bill: $93.61. After a $38.88 'Groupon Credit,' my out the door bill is $54.73, That's almost $12 per QUART! PLUS the original $12 bucks. That's $66.73 for a STUPID OIL CHANGE! Bottom line, I was robbed. Came here to get my break pads changed and my rotors replaced. The guys working here are nice but they don't have enough mechanics working which delayed our waiting time. Talked to a customer next to me and he said he's been in since morning and it's about 2pm and he's still waiting. They don't have the rotors stocked. They get their parts from the nearest Napa stores. So we have to wait until our parts come (which they can't give us a definite time). I do not recommend this place especially for those who are looking for a business that they can come in and get out quickly during time crunch. read more

I will never bring my car here ever again. I came here December to get new front brakes. The guys that work here kept trying to add extra unnecessary items so I can pay more money. They put incorrect brake pads on my car which causes my brakes to grind on my rotors. I brought my car back and they made up excuses other than the actual problem and they tried to get me to pay $50 extra dollars for "premium" brakes. I am a Disabled Veteran and my income goes towards my normal bills and medical treatments not covered by insurance. So I cannot afford to waste money on bad breaks. I spent $138 on my last visit. Instead of fixing the issues they tried to pacify me because I am a woman. It is unfortunate that this business tried to take advantage of me. read more

Was surprised when I entered yelp to see the rating so low. Today was my second experience using Just Brakes in Norcross and I think John, the manager was exceptional! Previously at another location, I took advantage of a special offer that meant lifetime pads and labor. I expected hidden costs, I expected upsell. What I got was my brake pads and labor for free. John seemed genuinely concerned for both myself and another customer while I was there. She needed struts, and he shopped around to find her the best price. He also talked to me about a repair I needed, told me what to expect when the part finally went, and alleviated any concerns I had. He also provided me with a competitive quote. I have had both brake work as well as oil changes and an oil pan gasket replaced there. It is a good option and the manager shares my ethics. He provides trusted recommendations. There were many times at "Honda" where I sat in the waiting room hearing customer after customer being told they needed the same thing. Either Honda was traing staff, or getting rid of old inventory. You know there is something wrong when 10 people in a row need an oil pan gasket change. You don't find that behavior with this manager. He wants you to have a safe and reliable car to get on your way, and will work with you to make that possible. He knows that if he is fair and honest, you will be a steady customer and come back. The service rep was very nice. My problem is that I ordered tires on-line. The website indicated that they were available in the store, so I bought two. I then set up an appointment on-line to have them installed. A gentleman called to confirm the appointment. I arrived the next morning and the tires had not arrived. He did not know when they would arrive since they would be coming from the Buford Highway store. He offered to call me when they arrived. And he did call two days later!! I don't understand why one would verify an appointment but not have the ordered items present by the time of the appointment so I went somewhere else. read more

I was told I needed new brake calipers on my car. when come to find out they did not lubricate any brake parts when they had my car the first time. GOT CHARGED $91.14 FOR A STANDARD OIL CHANGE AFTER DECLINING UNNECESSARY UPSELLING. Asked for $99 brake pads and an $20 oil change. Shop called me back with an estimate of $919. I told them to forget it, I was coming to get the car. They said they'd "work with me" and just put the pads on and the oil change and it would be $327. Ninety nine plus twenty does not equal 327. I told them nevermind, I was coming for the car. They said they'd just do the oil change then. I agreed. Final bill to get my car back was $91.14. Receipt says at bottom that a complimentary multi-point inspection is included, but I was charged 59.99 for a multi-point inspection that would "be refunded if I got all the work done". Estimate for work "needed" was now at $867.44, though the clerk said something that cost $100 was added twice on the estimate (though nothing is duplicated) and it would only be $767.44. Estimate shows, among other things, that I needed all calipers replaced and power steering fluid flushed, etc... KICKER: THIS IS A RECENTLY-SERVICED CAR WHICH DOESN'T NEED ANY OF THIS.
