It was just him and one other guy working, but both were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely happy to help. I only needed a small tire patch on my rear tire, but they handled it quickly and treated me like a valued customer the entire time. Great service, great value, and excellent professionalism. I've been coming here for years with my vehicles. This location operates constantly with integrity, reliability, quality and great customer service. Their prices are lower than others in the area, they will also offer coupons without you having to ask or search for them online. My last visit I was told I still had 50 percent wear on my breaks and I didn't really need them at this time. You rarely see that honesty today. I recommend them for all your automotive needs. Waited 1.5 hours after my appointment before they started on my car. They gave me an estimate of $500, which was @300 higher than what I had been told the previous night when I scheduled for the same issues: front tire alignment and Freon in AC. I said I no longer wanted the AC fixed, and I was told I would still be charged for the appraisal. A sign in the lobby said an estimate and guarantees would be given before any work was completed. This did not happen. I stated I did not wish to pay for anything I had not approved. I looked up what was recommended for the AC and saw it was unnecessary and way too expensive. Joe at the front desk said he did not wish to complete the tire rotation either. He said he had "good customers" and "it wasn't his fault I bought a bad car." He refused to do the work I had reserved the appointment for if I didn't pay for the $500 service. He stated he had "worked there for 6 months with no complaints, and in the automotive world, that says a lot." I then waited twenty more minutes for my car to be returned to me. There was further damage to the alignment, which had been played with when I left the lot. The invoice provided only stated that I refused to pay, but nothing done to the car was noted. Blew out a tire on county line rd. A piece of metal from construction debris. On Thursday the 9th. Newer tires on my Tacoma. 2 plugs to stop leak. Till tires ordered. Ordered 2 bf Goodrich. To match my 2 others. Will be in Friday at 12. Will call me. At 2 I called. Not in. In Orlando. Will be in on Saturday. At 2 I called not in will be Monday will call you never called me so I called Tuesday. Told them forget it as it's been 6 days. That's was a 535. $ transaction lost. For Springhill pep boys. I wound up very pleased with the service. I had a German cockroach problem that I was not going to resolve by myself. I was a little concerned after the fogging because they were still there, but I was assured by them that they would follow up to make sure they were gone and they did. I thought at the beginning they were just trying to set me up for needing a monthly service which I did not want. I've lived here 10 years and I can handle everything else but German cockroaches are a different story. They even gave me one extra service to make sure they were gone. I would give zero stars if i could... Bought four brand new Michelin tires and had them installed on after market rims. Found a vibration in the front end of the car right after installation. so the car was taken to the Pepboys in Lutz where we were told we had a bent rim. The car drove fine with no vibration before our first visit to pepboys in spring hill. so after a phone call to the spring hill location the car was taken back for them to look at. The spring hill location claimed there was no bent rim and their tire machine was not strong enough to bend a rim which was contrary to what several other people who work in the tire business told me. The store manager promised a refund for the tires, only to find out later from his manager that the store manager does not have the authority to issue a refund. After going one manager higher the story changed and pepboys wanted the tires returned before a full refund would be given regardless of the bent rim. Obviously there are other potential possibilities for the vibration in the car and how a rim might be bent. Pepboys did their best to try and wash their hands of the situation by pawning us off on a third party to fix the problem rather than putting forth the effort themselves to fix what ever the problem was. We couldnt even get the store manager at the spring hill location to communicate with the lutz location about the conflicting information between the stores and what the problem even was. The manager "Steve" at the spring hill location was condescending and almost like he spoke in riddles without providing any real solutions to fix our problem. The two managers we spoke to after steve clearly had spoken with steve before they each individually called us and clearly they had made up their mind about how they were willing to help fix the problem before they even spoke to us. When the issue and our experience was explained to the subsequent managers, that was when the story started to change and the back peddling began about what they were willing to do. The third and final manager was no less rude and condescending and even ended up hanging up the phone on us which was the most unprofessional customer behavior possible. The fact remains the car was fine before the first visit and now it has a vibration and pepboys not only told miss-truths but also changed their stance on what they would do to make the situation right. The unprofessional service and lack of problem solving on the part of pepboys is totally unacceptable. Ive delt with pepboys a long time, nearly 20 years. I called ahead to make sure that I could be accommodated for the current day. I dropped off my vehicle at around 1pm and they stated that it would be done by 5pm....I got a text with a link to show me the work progression. the progress window, showed that it would be completed at 6pm. I waited until 6pm to go pick it up. Upon arriving, the guy wanted to "show me" that it needed brake work. I went in for preventive maintenance work: LUBRICATE, CHANGE OIL & FILTER. and nothing had been done. He wanted me to come back in the morning, I told him a definitely, NO! The front desk person acts like a nice guy but gives off a shady vibe. I would have given them a 1/2 star, if it were possible. read more

Warning! Do not go here! I brought my truck in and told them I had a leak in my ac and already had a buddy run dye thru it and just needed it fixed. They call me at the end of the day and tell my my break lines are about to burst, I need axel repairs, and that the ac was fine and needed Freon . After scheduling thousands in all these repairs I pick my truck up and the ac is blowing hot. After a 15 minute argument of them trying to sell me on another $800 ac part they re checked it and sure enough it had a small leak which would have been a few dollar repair. They charged me $220 and sent me home for the weekend with no ac and I still have not heard back from them. I then took my truck to Take 5 in Brooksville, they said my breaklines were fine and sealed the small leak. This pep boys is the definition of a dirty new York car mechanic. Recently, I had a flat tire. It was after hours and road service was able to do was install the small spare tire. The next day I called Pep Boys to get the tire repaired and installed back on my car. It was about 8:30 AM when I called. They said they were extremely busy, but they would try to work me in if I showed up at 11:00 AM. I arrived at 11:00. They said it might be several hours. Since I didn't have a ride, I had to wait. The staff were super in working me in. After about an hour my tire was repaired and back on my car. They also placed my small spare tire back to where it is stored in the car. My thanks to everyone at Pep Boys for great service. read more

I went in for a regular full synthetic oil change and this dude tried to charge me double the price for "fuel injector service" without even telling me. The only reason I caught it before it was finished is because I scheduled the service through an app called car advise. When I asked him where the fuel injector service came from he said it was "included with the synthetic oil change". Out of every oil change I've ever gotten in my entire life I have never been charged double for "fuel injector service". Then again I've also never had my car serviced at Pep boys until today. I most definitely won't be trying it again. I had a 10 AM appointment for a tire rotation and tire repair. I left the truck there at 9:40AM, they said it would take about 2 hours to complete. I called at 12;30 to see how long it would be and I was told they hadn't even started on my truck. I td them to cancel the work order and I will come and get my vehicle. When I picked up my keys their excuse was they had a job that took longer than they thought. I quess a phone call to me would have been to much trouble. I was on my way back from picking up my teen from volleyball practice with my toddler in the car. The noise coming from my front tire was concerning and I intended on addressing it as soon as I could spare a few hours. I was planning on talking it in over the weekend hoping it was an easy fix like brake pads or something but the noise just increased and I felt unsafe driving it for the twenty minutes home let alone a few days. My car Was in a good condition after I did the oil change here, now is leaking oil after the service and didn't want to respond for the damage. They're only apologized to me saying that they're had another's technicians that was not doing the right job and that is the reason that they're not longer working there. The customer service is five star. As I waited for my oil change, I overheard Nathan interact with numerous customers, in person and over the phone. He was professional and polite with everyone. Tire rotation is included in price of oil change (I've had to pay extra at a competitor *JL) Although my wait was a little longer than anticipated they kept me updated and apologized - the manager made me more than happy at check out! My father took my car to get a new set of tires. They replaced all 4 but they went through my glove box and center console and removed EVERYTHING including my registration and just left it all on the passenger seat and floor. They went through all of my personal belongings and it was completely unnecessary as my vehicle was well organized before this ordeal. When I got my vehicle back it looked like I had been robbed. When I asked about it, they said they were looking for my wheel locks. A simple question to ask where they were would have sufficed. They were in the package where they belong. They then made a big deal about putting them back on saying that in Spring Hill no one is stealing tires. After getting my vehicle back I noticed that they never put a cap on the air valve and that all 4 of my rims were absolutely filthy and they even scratched the rim. I called and asked for a manager and was told there was no one. They never compensated me for anything or even addressed the issue or apologized. I've been extremely busy the last few months and haven't had time to do my own maintenance on my vehicles so I took them to the pep boys service center. The mechanic told me that I would need a battery soon, they did a load test and the cca's are a little low. My wife was leaving work about two days later and her car wouldn't start, fair enough he did tell me a needed a battery but the amount of corrosion on the terminal was insane. I'm really not sure why he wouldn't have cleaned it off or mentioned it. Next... after replacing the battery and cleaning the corrosion off I figured I'll double check the fluids. The coolant was below the minimum and so was the oil. They obviously don't care about the most basic of preventative maintenance so I definitely wouldn't trust them to do anything more difficult. read more

I sent my husband to Pep Boys this morning anticipating an expense of between $20-$50 for a tire that needed to be patched due to a piece of metal I picked up while driving yesterday. He brought my car in unannounced and was immediately greeted and taken back for service. After a very short wait, the serviceman came out and handed him my keys and said he was all set to go. My husband was extremely confused. He spoke to the manager and was again told he was good to go. These amazingly kind and talented gentlemen repaired my tire at absolutely ZERO cost and had my car back on the road in a half an hour. My husband insisted on paying something and they all refused. They did a great job and told us that they were happy to help. I was awestruck!!! Please if you ever need any assistance with your vehicle, stop by and check them out. I purchased 4 brand new tires, waited four hours. Next day noticed one of the tires was different. Made appointment for it to be changed. Got a call that they didn't have it and they would call. One tire sensor stopped working, was working before my tire change. Finally got call the tire came in and now waiting close to three hours just for them to fix their mistake. Although the staff has been very cordial this mistake should never have happened. Also, store is not busy. read more
