I am not a big fan - they have done a couple of repairs for me and the service is below par. They have issues diagnosing a problem and seem to just keep replacing stuff until it is fixed. I would not bring my car here for anything again. read more

I advise you people not to go to pep boys Warwick !!! Their management sucks and they drop the ball on you when they did the damage and won't take responsibility of it. Well, I have gone for oil change and left rear coil spring replacement, they drove inside their garage, after the work they told me the key got struck in ignition. Fun part of it is, they told its not their responsibility and I have take it to a dealer to fix it. Added to that, they behaved in a harsh manner when I addressed them to fix it. i had my front end aligned yesterday. They didn't leave me with a feeling of trust. There was no print out of the work done to my front end. The manager said his computer printer was broken. They quoted me $99.00 but charged me $10. more. On the receipt was printed that they informed me of the price increase which they didn't. I'm not sure they did the alignment. Like I said, nothing about the manner in which they do business left me with a sense of trust. I should have read the customer reviews before I scheduled an appointment with them. read more

Wow, reading the other reviews makes me wonder if I was at the same place... Justin took care of me and my car!! I happen to have a 2008 GXP G6 Pontiac, I stopped in to have them check the battery as I was having issues with starting and electrical lights and it was both the battery and starter. Apparently parts for my car aren't easy to find anymore- so it took a lot longer than expected, but - I have to say I was happy with the service and attention to my needs. I don't think they are sexist, I have experienced this before, I think they are earnest and hard working. read more

Went to Pep Boys on Bald Hill Rd in Warwick just to plug a tire. They were rude and unprofessional. Like I was wasting their time. Guess they don't need your business unless you are spending over 200 dollars. I suggest you go to Town Fair Tire. They had 4 people at the service desk and were happy to take my business. read more

Bought an alignment program, had my car aligned every oil change for 1.5 years yet tires were unevenly worn, three other mechanics told me all parts in my cars suspension and so on were proper so only diagnoses is alignments weren't done. They refused to replace my 1.5 old tires that had metal showing on interior tread line. End of story they are not a place i will ever support again. read more

I'm very happy with the service at this Pep Boys.. The crew are all very friendly and accommodating. I recently took my car in to get 2 new tires which were put on in a very reasonable amount of time for a very reasonable price! No one tried to up-sell me on tires that I didn't want, and I didn't feel taken advantage of like at most auto shops. The only thing that I will say is that they weren't as knowledgeable as I would have hoped. I asked for the new tires to be put on the front (as my car is front wheel drive) and they told me they always put new tires on the back. I asked a mechanic friend who told me they obviously have no idea what they are talking about.... oh well. read more

Either going to a dealership, or a chain mechanic shop, the prices are going to be the same - while they may be a bit high, you figure you're getting a professional level of service. Such is the case with this PepBoys location. I choose to pay a little more strictly for the service. Today I needed new brake pads and rotors and was given excellent service from Benjamin. They also kept to the schedule. I made an appointment for 3pm and they took the car right away and had it fixed in 90 minutes. They're my go-to car shop! read more

went here for a quick oil change two weeks ago, went pretty quick, thought all was fine. After getting the oil change I was away for a few days, once I got back I thankfully needed a new tire, while getting the new tire, I come to find out I had an oil leak. Whoever changed my oil here did NOT change the gasket and left an old plug in. Not only that they did not put my stroud back on my engine and therefore all the oil leaked all over the bottom of my vehicle which would of been prevented if they had put it back on my car! This is one of those instances where I wish you could give negative stars! I went here 2 days ago to buy 4 new tires for my truck. The first guy I spoke to at the tire counter was decent enough, at first. He helped me locate the 4 matching tires, which were in 4 totally different areas of the tire dept. He even made comments about how disorganized the area was. After finding them all, and pointing them out to me, he just left them where they were. We then made an appt for 1:pm the following day (yesterday). I had the truck there on time, I sat in the waiting area for an hour, then decided to take a walk to get a coffee. By the time I got back it was after 230, and my truck hadn't moved from where I parked it. So I went to the counter to ask about the hold up and was told they could only find 3 of the tires. When I told them that I had seen all 4 the day before with the other guy that was not there at this point, I was told that sometimes corporate management will just come in and take a tire out of the store for no reason. That made no sense to me but what do I know! So at this point, I was there for over 2 hours and was told they could order the 4th tire and have it for today, but at this point, I've already decided to make my $1200 purchase elsewhere, but that didn't stop 3 of the employees from bad mouthing everyone else in the store, as a way of deferring the blame to someone else. It was a complete side show act from a poorly run circus. I took my business to a well known tire store not far from there and was taken care of immediately. Thanks Pep Boys, you definitely taught me where not to go when I need something done professionally and correctly! But on the bright side, I would have saved $60 at Pep Boys, lol, that's not even worth the 2 hours of my time that they wasted!!! read more

Came in to have a headlight changed. The answer I received was a flat out "no." No alternatives offered, no future service times, not a thing. For a company in the service industry, this is not a good way to make and retain clients. A headlight change takes approximately 5 minutes, they could have charged me a premium and I would have paid it, but just a flat "no" is an unacceptable answer 100% of the time. read more

I was told when I got there that they wouldn't be able to do my tires that day despite the fact that I had booked a 2:30 appointment online and had already paid in advance. If I could give the place negative stars I would! I came in for a tire change on ONE TIRE, I then get a call while they're fixing it that there's something wrong with my tire pressure valve and that they can't even put the tire on without it being replaced, which is going to cost me another $108.00 dollars. I have them replace the the tire and the tire pressure valve. As I'm driving home all of a sudden, out of nowhere, the Tire Pressure Light comes on! I call them immediately and I'm told to bring it by tomorrow, it probably just needs to be reset. I bring the car in the next day and I'm told I'd have to wait for the manger to be in and he's not in until tomorrow! I go in AGAIN the next day. Mind you, this is the THIRD day I'm now here in a row. They tell me to take a seat and they'll check it out. An HOUR later they really have the audacity to tell me that they replaced that tire pressure valve with the completely WRONG valve! And that they were working on it now. I wasn't offered any type of discount or anything! I will never go back there and I will advise anyone to go elsewhere!!!!!! read more

Went to pep boys for the first time and felt like I was stupid, the workers there were not very friendly in my opinion. I felt like I was looked down upon when I was saying what was going on with my car. I simply asked for my tire to be looked at because it was losing air constantly and to have my strut checked. However, they told me (without showing me) that I had a screw on my tire where they couldn't patch it. They wanted to put another tire on that wasn't the same as my other tires on my car but I told them I just wanted all the same tires. They told me they couldn't find my tire in their warehouses to be shipped in and that they'd call me the next day to let me know what was going on and if they had a tire for me. Never received a call, and got an email a couple days later stating that I missed my appointment? So, after that waste of time, I went to Toyota to have my tire checked out and they said there was no screw in that tire to even begin with.. read more

Make sure you read your repair order and alignment report before you leave. They had my car for 8 1/2 hours to change two tires. They charged me for an alignment and when I read the report it showed that they didn't actually adjust/align anything. Needless to say, I called them back Monday morning to complain and without even arguing they said it was a simple mistake and to come back in and they would refund me the $84.99 I paid for the alignment. Apparently they were counting in the fact that since I'm a woman I wouldn't know any better or how to read the report. Shame on Pep Boys for trying to rip people off. read more

I just dont know about this store. I had an oil change and new wipers put on. After paying I got in my car, all seemed fine. But, there was a turd on the passenger side floor. It looked human in origin. I couldnt even bring myself to bring it back to see who left it and why. I just drove the car out to the beach, got out and let it roll into the sea. read more

I brought my car here as a last resort this past Saturday because my exhaust pipe snapped. After looking at it they called and told me it would be $672 to replace the catalytic converter and the rest of the exhaust system behind it. The story changed as soon as I handed the phone to my boyfriend although the cost didn't. My catalytic converter had been replaced just over a year ago so I wasn't buying the story. Needless to say I picked up the car and brought it somewhere else. The machanic I brought it to fixed the snapped pipe for $75 instead. I'll never step foot back in Pepboys again. read more

Got an estimate for what i thought should bea minor repair for $1900 which they suddenly cut to $1600 when I said that sounded high The whole incident seemed strange so i went and got two other estimates (one cost me $50) both of whom said it the issue was minor wear and that i didnt need any repair at the current time. Went to there to get simple oil change 2 months later drain plug came undone after less than 200mile driven. I came up to RI from DE for a day and a half to see family. We just happened to get a flat tire (which we couldn't replace ourselves because the lugnuts had been put on too tightly) and BARELY made it to pep boys but we figured this place was reliable and standardized so we'd most likely get in, get out and get good service. Well, an hour after checking in we went to the front desk to see why they hadn't taken our car back, we were told we were next in line. A half hour after that they take the car back and soon after tell us they don't know why it's flat. We tell them to just replace the front two tires anyways. Long story short, we've been sitting here for over 3 hours and still have not been checked on or apologized to for the wait. To add insult to injury, people who came in after us were serviced before us, and we've been the only people in the waiting room for two hours. I understand there may be other cars being serviced whose owners are not here, but 3+ hours to replace two tires?!?! Worst costumer service I've ever seen! If you can avoid coming here, please do. It's not worth it. By the time I finished writing this it's officially been 3 hours and 45 minutes and we JUST walked out. I will never go to a pep boys again read more

Terrible customer service. I was in the store on a late Sunday afternoon and witnessed 2 employees yelled at a clueless customers bc she apparently entered an employee-only area. Her boyfriend then said that they should have some sign up that says "employed only" or "restricted area" and then the employee snapped at him and said that they should know better not to. Seriously? They left the store looking pissed and without purchasing anything. I would have done the same exact thing. There's no reasons for them to snap at anyone, let alone a customer. This manner is absolutely unacceptable and should be addressed the next time they have employee training. read more

BOBBY & crew here are very nice, and on a Sunday morning when I woke up to a flat on my Benz, and then while trying to remove the corroded cap I snapped the valve stem off. I thought I would need a new to tpm sensor which they had in stock awesome.... ($179 for sensor) but they were able to replace just the valve stem and fix my flat. So instead of dropping $230 , I only spent $49.00 add I managed to pick up 2 screws in one tire... read more

I have always gone to the same place to get my oil changed, but I had a coupon so I thought I would try Pep Boys. While I was there I decided to inquire about snow tires as well. As soon as I walked in Ryan greeted me. He took the time to talk with me about different types of snow tires and even checked out all the tires on my current car. He was friendly, honest, and knowledgable. My oil change was also super fast. It felt like it took less than 10 minutes. When checking out, Michael offered to walk me out to the car to ensure that complimentary windshield wiper fluid was added because I was worried I was low. Best customer service I've seen in a while. Dropped off 4 wheels to have tires replaced. They mounted 2 tires with the inboard side out.. 45 minute drive back there for them to mount them correctly not one apology or anything. Took 45 minutes to mount and balance 2 tires.... Set me back a ton of time for the day for something that could have been easily prevented if they had just looked at the tire before mounting. For over $100 to mount and balance tires it should be done right the first time. I understand people make mistakes but they were not apologetic at all. Won't be returning. read more
