This location is tucked in a corner or an intersection with signage only when close. If I didnt yelp, I would have never known this place was here. I ordered the London broil with extra onions. My sandwich was ready within reasonable time. It was preparing to close in 45 minutes when I arrived so the chairs were on the tables and one of the employees was busy cleaning the drink and seating area. My sandwich was not with my requested onions but that was ok as they provided it in a small container. It just was messy trying to add them. My sandwich was good and there arent any issues. I had an amazing Corned Beef Bon Fresco sandwich here! They make all the bread in house on a unique shaped roll that really enhanced this sandwich. They also use a perfect spicy mustard to go along with the corned beef that complemented it so well. The prices were also decent too, not too bad for a standalone sandwich shop especially for the size of the sandwich you receive. If I could give this place 10 stars- I would. The customer service is phenomenal. Jeff, whom I believe was the person at the register at the time that I ordered, was so sweet. His energy and vibe were so contagious. He greeted everyone walking through the door like if they were neighbors that he's known for years. I ordered the London broil and a tomato soup. I was familiar with the Columbia location for 10 years as a coworker said the London Broil is outstanding. She was right! During times at that prior company & current company, Bon Fresco is always a good lunch option. My mom agreed when she visited as well. Their other sandwiches are good too as we've had lunch brought to office for meetings or just to share in break room, but the London broil is the very best! In the last couple of years, I realized there was a Bon Fresco closer to my home, here in Annapolis Junction. Once again, London Broil sandwich with chips. Bon Fresco is our favorite lunch spot in Laurel and there's a lot to pick from!! Homemade bread and interesting sandwich combos are on point!! Also please get the brownie. It's epic!! As usual arrived here and the place was packed; line out the door because it's just that good! The customer service here is top notch! The owner is always around and greets you like your family. The staff here treats you the same! Although line was long he moves it so quickly you're not discouraged. There is always fresh soup(changes daily) or a special available. Today I chose the Curry Chicken salad! Boy oh boy how I've missed this place. It's down the road from my office and since the pandemic I've been working from home and unable to get here. It's hard to describe the salad as although it's together, each time you bite into it you actually taste a different, yet unique flavor and I LOVE IT! I'm obsessed with the tomato saffron soup; I come here mostly for that. When I still ate red meat I would get the London broil often--it's very good, I highly recommend it. My current favorite sandwich is the turkey fresco, I try to explore the menu of places but it's hard to stray from a trusty favorite. That being said, everything I've tried so far (16 sandwiches) has been objectively good and great quality. The chicken can be dry sometimes but they use white meat so it's prone to that, and it's nothing that can't be fixed with a little dijonaise. I love how fresh the bread is every time, their ciabatta is the best! I go to the Annapolis junction location because it's close to work, and before I started going more regularly the main guy at the register would always treat me as if I was regular. He's so warm and friendly with everyone, very nice guy. I think his genuine good mood is quite contagious. A testament to how good the food is: this place can get pretty packed during peak lunch hours. The dining area is full of people on their lunch breaks around noon to 1 pm chattering and having a good lunch. And the line can get a little long (but the wait usually isn't). I recommend ordering ahead online, 30 mins prior to when you want to pick up, if you aren't planning on dining in. It saves me a lot of time :) read more

The temperature was a little cold so I ordered my food to go. I decided on a 1/2 sandwich & soup combo. I was going to try the Tomato soup but someone encouraged me to taste the Spicy Peanut. Well thank you Sir! That soup was hitting with the freshly baked ciabatta bread that sammich was served in! And it was a hearty half of sandwich, (they were generous with the meat. Thank you!) I've tried Bon fresco's chicken baguettes, the chicken broil, and the pollo sandwich, as my office orders this place fairly regularly for lunch and despite touting fresh made bread and gourmet ingredients, everything I've tried here has been just ok. There isn't a sandwich, baked good, or soup from this place I'd run back for and they also have a limited selection of chips to include basic options like lays regular potato and none of the more interesting types. My friend and I were fairly hungry after our tennis session and wanted to grab a quick lunch bite. This little known shop popped up in Yelp with some good reviews so we figured let's give it a try. Once arrived, the staff was very friendly and welcoming but it looked like they were about to close. I just realist that point that this place is open until 3Pm in this location. Seemed kind of odd that all chairs were put up on the table by 2PM. As a vegetarian I was thrilled to see more than one option on the menu. I decided to go with the fresco sandwich and was not disappointed. The ciabatta bread they use is amazing and the sauces inside were on point. The only downside was for $10, you get a really small size of bread. To me, the fair price would be around $7 for that size. Other than that, it was a pleasant overall experience. The friendly greeting you get walking in to the restaurant, to the amazing food you get! You order online (which can be a little wonky (the website just needs a little tweaking) ) but nothing that a few moments or a call into the restaurant won't fix. The food is delicious and always ready when ordered to be, even when they're busy. The downside is they're only open for morning and afternoon hours so I can't get more than 2 meals (unless I buy dinner the same time I buy my lunch). Cannot recommend this place enough! The chicken Caesar salad, picante sandwich, tea, and of course the London broil sandwich have all been amazing. Overall; friendly and delicious and well worth the price you pay!! read more

These guys make what is arguably one of my favorite sandwiches....the Pollo. Grilled chicken breast, olive tapenade, fresh mozzarella, grilled veggies, on a fresh baked ciabatta role. The chicken breast is always moist, the olive tapenade is just a wonderful savory treat, yummy mozzarella on a bed of grilled veggies. Got into a groove with this place... While in the area for an extended trip I was lucky to find this place and ended up working my way through a solid chunk of the menu and now I have several favorites and a few tips to share... Tip 1: If you don't like mayo then this is your place for tuna because the two don't meet here... try the picante tuna sandwich, it's healthy, mayonnaise free and delicious. Tip 2: Must love olives to enjoy the pollo sandwich because of the strong flavor of the tempanade, but if you do, it's a solid sandy. The salads and platters are a great deal, especially given that they come with a ciabatta roll. I eventually settled on the chicken platter if I wasn't getting a sandwich and would only very between couscous (for flavor) and lentils (for health)... so much healthy food for the price though. It always left me full. Tip 3: Add the soup! It's only $1.50 extra when buying a sandwich or a salad/ platter. It gives the salad/platter people something to dip the bread in, but it's good enough not to need a reason. The tomato-saffron is the best for dipping and the best in general too I think, but the spicy peanut is good as well. The London broil sandwich deserves a mention too. If you want red meat you can't go wrong with it. Last mention goes to the chocolate chip cookies... dammit I wish I didn't discover how good they were. Bottom line, the cost and quality makes this place a can't miss for lunch. read more

Hidden away in an industrial area is this delightful cafe and bakery. I was early for a meeting and I used Yelp to find coffee and this place came up. I ordered a Turkey sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich with Mocha Caramel Sea Salt coffee. The sensation of coffee after consuming the coffee was through the roof. But this just wasn't the best experience; maybe it was because I came at 1:30 so the lunch time rush had just completed but my chicken noodle soup had no chicken, just mushy noodles and my chicken picante had the tiniest pieces of chicken in them. Usually the protein to sandwich ratio is great (at columbia) but I've read their lacking at this location on other reviews before trying and def agreed.
