Have been to PepperJax weekly for a decade now and the New ordering process makes my order get messed up every time. Very disappointed

When you are hungry for a Philly cheesesteak sandwich, Pepper Jax will fit the bill. Although there are bowls, wraps and different protein options, my go to is always a classic beef Philly cheesesteak with onions, green peppers and mushrooms. Prepared as you wait in line to pay and order sides, I ordered fries and a drink, I like being able to see the preparation and care put into the making of my sandwich. Fast, efficient, and always good--Pepper Jax has figured out quality control and trained their service attendants in the finer skills of cooking, seasoning and sharing a friendly smile. My order came in just under $15 which seems to be a bit higher than my last visit. (The reason I went with four stars). Parking was ample, restrooms were clean and there was a steady crowd at this location on a Saturday lunch visit. I will be back, but may order takeout to cut down on the expense of fries and soda.......or load my wallet before I leave home. read more

This used to be my favorite place for years and years. Shame it's gone so far downhill. I started to notice a decline a few years ago but it's steadily gotten worse. Dry chewy meat. Stale crumbly buns. My husband used to love the steak bowls but he gave up on those altogether. I don't know if it's nostalgia for me at this point or what but I can't seem to give up on this place. Well, unfortunately tonight they have let me down for the last time. Dry, crusty and gross. And I swear the price goes up every time. Very expensive. i ordered a steak philly with green peppers and onions and i reached enlightenment from it. this sandwich was the most heavenly philly cheese steak i've ever eaten in my life. i'm pretty sure i went into a coma while eating this. it was literally steaming and burning my mouth but i didnt care. i was out of breath while eating this but that didnt stop me. im pretty sure i saw angels and heard the holy trinity chorus as the flavors blended on my tongue. i died, experienced the afterlife, resurrected, and came back to life to experience the holiness of this philly cheese steak. this sandwich made me achieve true nirvana. i will be pure inside from now on because of this sandwich. read more

My family was excited to order from one of our favorites tonight - PepperJax! We ordered 5 Phillie Steak Subs on line. We were excited to have a night in and watch Ted Lasso while eating our steak subs. 4 of the subs were requested to have cheese and the 5th cheese was not picked to have cheese. Needless to say, cheese was on all subs. I absolutely do not like cheese on my sub. Therefore, we made sure that cheese was not selected for my sub. It was very upsetting that our evening of family time was disrupted but our ordering being made incorrectly. I called and spoke to the manager. He said that he clearly remembers the large order and told me that because we did not order correctly on line that essentially this was my fault. His crew didn't know what to do. He did offer to remake it and I asked if he'd add fries with it for the inconvenience. He said yes. My son went to go pick up my remade order after he ate. He came back with just a sub. No fries. My son said that the manager and crew gave him no eye contact and ignored him. The cashier gave him my sub. There was no conversation or apology. My son said that he felt very awkward and uncomfortable. No business should make their customers feel that way! Truly a disappointment and very unprofessional. I always liked PepperJax. The sandwiches are good, and I loved getting a steak burrito and loading it up. It has changed a bit since I was last in, and it's been a few years as I no longer live in Omaha. It's still excellent. I'm pretty sure they didn't offer nachos last time I was in, and I LURV nachos, so I ordered those with steak and got them loaded up with toppings and pepperjack queso. They were great. And my sister who was "not hungry" munched quite a few of them. My fiance got a sandwich as he's a big philly cheesesteak fan, and he liked it but said it wasn't the best he's had. He was super happy they had Diet Mt. Dew though. Love the sauces and dressings bar! The staff were nice here, but the place could've been cleaner. It wasn't busy, only a couple other people when we came in, and there were a lot of dirty tables, including one that was completely trashed with some kid's Cheerios spilled all over the floor. read more

At first I thought... "That's way too much food, I'll never finish that," as I eyeballed the Steak Philly I'd ordered with sautéed peppers, onions and mushrooms. I have lived in Omaha for about 6 years now and just had my first visit at a PepperJax. From my understanding, PepperJax has its beginnings in Omaha, but recently moved its HQ and operations to Denver to seek more talent or something. I am big fan of Omaha, so this rubbed me the wrong way when I learned of this last year about this company, but setting those feelings aside, here's my review. The prices are a little steep compared to other fast food stops, but the quality is higher. This specific location is clean, the service was friendly, and the food was good. I had a standard Beef Philly with the added Fireball (they cooked the meat in Jalapeno juice or something) and it tasted pretty good. You get a pretty good sized sandwich and ended up being filling even though I did not eat it with any sides or get a drink. This place is a good choice for a hot, fast meal read more

Okay, so I don't normally write reviews for big chains like this so I will keep this short - this place is FILTHY. We went in for dinner and trash/leftover plates were still on the tables even though there were times where there were no new customers and the staff behind the counter could have gone and cleaned up. The floor had food debris and garbage all over it and you could tell it hadn't been swept in a while, probably days. There was a significant amount of dust accumulated on the exposed duct work and beams. There were no forks available at any time we were there even though multiple people went up to the counter to request them. If you want Pepperjax, head to a different location. read more

We arrived late for dinner thinking the place should not be busy but once we walked in the line was still rather long but we were fine with having to wait. Obviously everyone had the same idea . I try to add less calories by adding salsa instead of ranch but see a lot of people adding ranch to the bowl. Fries are possibly the best in town. Funny how one angry clown can ruin so many peoples family dinner. I went to the Pepperjax on 120th & Blondo and there were 3 people working. The 2 guys were friendly and helpful, however there was 1 girl that was on the grill and the first person that people interacted with when they came in. This girl was wearing an extreme amount of makeup, so much that I think it was a joke. The girl was very rude and uninviting to every person that went to the counter to order. She forced people to hurry with their order and screamed everything angry and sarcastic causing everyone to be uncomfortable. She would pick things off of the grill and throw them on the floor also, making it a mess behind their counter. She was like an angry Ronald McDonald... I know it's tough to find employees these days, but either get her some social skill training, or have her on cleaning and trash duty. You can not let someone like this interact with the people that keep your doors open. If I decide to eat at the Pepper Jax on 110th & Blondo again and I see her working then I will just go next door to Qdoba. read more

I am a huge pepperjacks fan but something is going on with this store. I go to this restaurant 2 to 3 times a month or more but the quality has recently been going downhill. went there today and just a few min after open, the place was filthy food on chairs. no silverware out of napkins. must of had a little bit of mushroom gravy so thy just added water. horrible. worst of all, did you change the quantity and quality of the meet. flavorless and seems like half the meat. worst philly I have had in years. id rather pay more for what they used to be.. my first job was at the chartruse caboose on 90th. and I remember they were the best and I hope that this restaurant chain ups their game to what it used to be. one more chance and I will find somewhere else to spend my money.. thanks troy read more

We were in a bit of a hurry and real fast food (i.e. McDs, BK, Wendy's) is off our radar. This place caught our eye so we stopped in. I ordered the grilled veg wrap (hold the rice filler, please) and my lunch companion went with a grilled chicken salad. The veg wrap was filling and salty (puffed up like a tic the next day). The salad consisted of grilled chicken and veg atop a mound of shredded iceberg. Service was fast (order at the counter) and friendly, so I can see the appeal over the lunch hour. Looking around at the other patrons, it seemed the meat philly's with fries was the way to go, but I'm guessing they were puffed up like ticks too. read more

Maybe only 3 stars. Love that they are very careful about handling food for gluten-intolerant people. But not crazy about the way they put way too much cilantro in the rice and the steak has the same seasonings as any other meat, which ruins the flavor. But the prices are fine and the servings are ample. I've been here twice. I am usually a big fan of this place and specifically this location but yesterday left me baffled. We went in around 5:15pm and there were maybe 8-12customers in the place. I saw 5 people working behind the counter and 2 working in the back. All went smoothly with the order but when we rounded the corner to find a table all of them except maybe 4 had trash and food on them! We sat at a table that had no trash but was still dirty. After sitting there 15 minutes and a few more customers came in someone finally came out and picked up the trash but NEVER wiped any of the tables. Let me specifically say this place was never so busy during my visit that they could not spare someone to come out front and cleanup the dining area. If this is how the front is cleaned I would hate to see how the kitchen areas are cleaned. I think I will have to change locations! read more

We hadn't been to PepperJax for quite awhile, but it has always been our daughters favorite restaurant. We were very disappointed when we went last week. We ordered the regular chicken rice bowl for our daughter and it had only half of piece of chicken and a little less than a tablespoon of peppers. When we went down to pick it up at the end of the line, there was hardly any rice or beans. The same was true for my husband. We also ordered fries and they were making fresh ones. They had told me it would be two minutes, but when I went back up to check on them the clerk was just reading a comic book. We definitely will not be going back to this location. read more

I just recently has a Philly steak and fries and I got violently ill. It was a DoorDash delivery. Within 20 minutes of eating it I became violently ill. I've eaten here before and everything was fine. The meat seemed pretty dry so I wonder how fresh it was. read more
