3/11/18 6pm. Since Gary sold out, this place has gone down hill. Employees are not friendly and act like customers are a burden. I stopped in and it was dead. Thry were cleaning the grill and none of the 4 employess standing around acknowledged me. He finally took my order for a loaded steak philly. Gal behind me ordered a steak ricebowl. He made my order and put it over rice instead of a hoagie. He then said to me...the CUSTOMER... "I wish you had said something at the last second". I said... I do not work here, how do i know what you are doing ? I was pissed abd left. I xalled the manager on duty abd got the GM name. Seriously, if this is how they operare now...I wont be back. read more

This place is pretty unremarkable in my opinion. I've twice tried the burrito's and both times, I walked away thinking I would have gone to Chipotle or Qdoba. The set-up is similiar, you walk up to the counter, tell them what you want on it and they prepare it in front of you. The burrito is huge but the taste leaves a lot to be desired. For being fast foodish Pepper Jax is good. Staff at this location have always been friendly and quick to serve. The Philly Cheesesteak and fries are the only thing I have ever eat here and both are good. Good place for a quick meal. read more

Pretty sure I have a bit of a love affair with Pepperjax. I'm not even kidding when I say I physically have to resist the urge to go here every time I get a BOGO coupon. The steak philly and steak wrap are the way to go. I also like to take the free croutons on the condiments bar and dip them in their housemade ranch. I'm addicted, I admit this. The BEST place in omaha for a cheesesteak, hands down. All for around $7. read more

Countless times I have pulled up BEFORE the posted closing time to find the lights off & staff looking at me laughing. The Qdoba in the next building gets more of my business then they should. Either talk to your staff or post a different closing time. read more

I enjoy my meal every single time I go! I've yet to be disappointed! When I don't feel like a steak philly, I get a steak rice bowl with black beans. They also have sauces- I love to get a few cups of mushroom sauce. Delicious! Don't get the sandwiches to go, unless you like your bread softer or on the soggy side. read more

I just Love this place. The cheese steak sandwich is wonderful. The bread is great and the steak, cheese, onions and peppers are delicious. Could be a 5 star review, but asked twice for it to be fireballed.the chicken wasn't well cut up like normal and the gal that put the chicken and stuff in the bread, decided it was okay to rip it in half. So I'll be eating this philly with a fork.. But don't worry they made sure to charge plenty extra for the cheese and chicken. $15 sandwich? I expect better. i was with my friends and we were all really in the mood for some pjax after a very long day of being out in the sun. i was unfortunate enough order to the wrong location. i called to cancel my order and order to the right location and i got zero help. there was a very nice man that looked like a tyler that tried to assist me in canceling my order but we got no where. (tyler knew how to cancel my order but the chick that worked at the location i accidentally ordered to could not assist me in doing so). i then had to drive 15 minutes to the right location just to get my meal that was superb. but a turn events happened once i got to the pepper jacks location. i was given the wrong order and they happily gave me a fresh meal that was correct. the service was AMAZING!! i will definitely be eating pepper jacks as much as i can now! read more

What an unexpected treat this evening! We went into this PepperJax for dinner. I don't eat meat and ordered a veggie salad. The guys behind the grill cleaned the entire grill, got clean utensils and offered to even get me fresh veggies from the back that wouldn't have had any possible oils from the meat off the grill on them. They went above my expectations in their care to get me a vegetarian dinner. I am impressed. We will be back! read more

The smoke was so thick that we were coughing as we waited in line. Im not sure if the vent fans were not working correctly or if it always that smoky inside. The food was good, I had a steak philly sandwich. They had added brisket and pulled pork as meat options- others in my group got chicken bowls and they said they were good. Inside the dining room it was very loud. The smoke and grease smell were almost overwelming, my throat felt irritated from breathing the air. I felt like I stunk like pepperjax well after I had left. I hope they can get that fixed and the place would be great. They cleared the dished and cleaned up quickly. read more

Great beef sandwiches; on the side you can get little cups of various juices for dipping: au jus (sp???), gravy. Fast service at the counter. The tables are always kept clean. Not as good as Portillos, but a close second. read more

The Philly cheese steak would have been pretty good if the "cook" had not loaded it with WAY to much salt. it was like eating a salt sandwich. Did not finish it and gave it back to the manager at the counter. At least ask a customer if they wish salt or how much. Left the place with a salty palette like I had spent the day at the beach. read more

1 star is too generous! I wanted to treat my son to lunch. He had early release and he wanted to try this establishment. Our first time. We enter and review the menu, someone behind the counter greeted us with a "hello". (no one is behind us in line). I proceed to the register and wait for the customer that was already there to finish his transaction, and proceed to place our order, we are told that we actually need to place our order over by the menu sign (which has absolutely no signage or instructions to "ORDER HERE" and now has a line of 4 customers) I politely ask if there is a way they can slide us over as we were already ahead of them. What I'm assuming is the acting mgr says that we can get in line & they will be happy to help us. Well, one of the gentlemen is stalling with his order and keeps referring to the friend next to him "where is so n so, he's suppose to be here. He finally gives up. Our turn, I order 1 philly steak onions only & double meet, 1 philly steak no jalapeños. That's it, simple enough! The same lady is asking me if I want all the extras 1 at a time and of course I'm already irritated with the being put to the back of the line. She asks if everything is ok. I answer NO and explain. Her comment is that she was afraid & didn't feel comfortable putting me in line ahead of the others. My reply, I was already ahead of the others and had there been instructions how to place your order I could have followed them. Also I said had you let these nice gentleman know what happened I'm sure they would understand. But NO, she was scared to do her job and find a positive solution. Next she states she's taking 5.00 off my bill. I said I would paid the full amount as it's not the food I have an issue with. She takes the 5.00 anyway. My son & I get home and I take a bite of my food, a few seconds and my mouth is on fire. WHY? I didn't order anything spicy! There are jalapeños throughout my sandwich! Are you kidding me!!!! I load back up and drive to the location which now has a line to the door. I run up to the register and let them know of the mistake. Yes they made another right away & extended another apology. I had 1 hour to spend with my son before I needed to head to MCC until 10pm and my time was taken up with this mess! Possibly this mgr doesn't understand us consumers have options for dining.
