This along with fasting and eating here every other day helped me slim down from a 36 to 35 ish and this is ontop of walking 20 miles a day. I generally like King Kong and went to this location for lunch around noon today. Fries were not the correct type of fries (the delicious crispy ones they usually serve) AND they weren't seasoned. The gyro meat was burnt and the tsaziki sauce tasted off as of it were a store bought one they grabbed to use last minute. Overall it was a huge disappointment during an already crappy work day. This was once a definitive favorite place to go for the fries and Greek seasoning with the cucumber sauce. Personally the location off of Dodge st in Omaha is a bit better than the Ralston/Papillion/Lavista (always mix up those cities). The food has not been as fresh as it once was. Fell ill instantly after eating a lamb gyro. So that was an account of failing to be fresh. The food use to burn your mouf hot! Now it is almost you have to go home and reward and that is even when driving from the drive thru to the street to exit. So yeah. My burger had a TON of bacon, pickles and onions. Wait time was like 3-4 minutes for the food. Staff was pleasant. This location is well suited to groups up to a dozen people. What's good: I like their steaks, which, along with two sides, are just $10.99 on Sundays (as of 2020). Their Greek salads are good, though the only variation is with/without gyro meat. The potatos-and-rice dish pairs well with the steak, and comes with a red sauce which contains green beans, meat, and a bunch of other stuff. The gyros are pretty good, though sometimes they really pile on the onions. What's not as good: The burgers seem to vary in quality and there are much better options nearby. The baklava can be soggy. The fries taste good but can be limp and greasy. Sometimes they close earlier than the posted hours-which is sort of understandable if business is slow (and it often is!), but it's frustrating and they sometimes miss out on huge crowds exiting the nearby Ralston Arena. Usually liked King Kong's burgers but I won't be returning anytime soon (especially at this location) My boyfriend and I were waiting for someone to take our orders in the drive through for about 10 mins, so we decided to go around to the window. The food would be a five star, but with the rudeness of some of their employees after being a loyal customer for 15 years, I will never be going to this establishment again. I have a hard time, understanding people with heavy accents, and they had someone with a very heavy accent on the drive-through and I asked him to repeat himself and he just turned into a giant jerk. I have had this problem at this restaurant so often and I have always let it go but no more whoever that guy is if he's the owner, he should be bought out and if he's an employee should be fired. King Kong is a fast food restaurant that serves a somewhat unusual combination of menu items - Burgers, Phillies, Gyros, Steaks, Salads, and Greek Pastries. They specialize in giant Burgers (King Kong!) that are at least 1/2 lb per patty, but they'll stack them up to make double, triple, and even ridiculously humongous 2 lb quadruple burgers. They serve gyros (from a real spit, or Shawarma, or whatever they call that spinning meat cooking machine), and Greek salads that look very good although I haven't tried one yet. I usually have the 1/2 lb King Kong burger and I can generally only eat about half of it (it's the smallest burger but it's big enough to share with a friend - however you shouldn't feel forced to share it because the price is very reasonable.) The burgers are very good and they taste like they're cooked on a "Burger King" type grill with a good charcoal flavor. The fries are coated, probably with some type of batter I think - not my favorite, but I don't have a strong objection. My only major complaint was that they don't offer brewed iced tea. I recommend you should definitively check this place out when you have a King Kong sized appetite. read more

The inside is odd, with stuffed gorillas all over the place (still not sure how King Kong, burgers, and Greek food all go together). My husband got the King Kong burger (just as huge as advertised) while I got the chicken gyro plate. The chicken was extremely dry and underseasoned, and the burger was ok. The side salad, pasta, and baklava were average. On the other hand, the fries! I would make a return trip just for the fries. They were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cashier and all employees didn't wear masks. They were rude and even though they were speaking in Spanish pretended not to understand instructions in English or Spanish. The ac ventilation on the right side of the restaurant was dripping water on 1/3 of tables from their ac to our food. It was disgusting. Thr cashier refused to refund our food. We threw it out. Asked for a leader and it was refused. Told to call tomorrow. Multiple health and sanitary violations at a time when cleaning and hygienics are pivotal in food service.
