    Gyro Salad French Fries

Food was delicious! Portions are huge. I brought my grandkids and had to cut the burger in half and split it between two kids. My two granddaughters split their chicken strip meal also. I ordered the gyro salad salad topped with tomatoes, olives, Feta cheese and dressing topped with a pita bread. Their fries are always crispy and hot. Dining area is clean and spacious.

Best cheesesteak I have had in a long time. I ate a little over half for lunch and saved the rest for dinner. It was even better!

Only been here once, but the gyro plate did not disappoint. Fresh salad, fries, and tasty gyro hit the spot. Quick service and the decorations are great.

    Kids King Kong Burger

Stopped in to this location for a burger. I got the King Kong w/bacon and a kids King Kong burger. I thought it was little pricey for both but the portions were huge. My burger had a TON of bacon, pickles and onions. Wait time was like 3-4 minutes for the food. Staff was pleasant. Only thing I didn't like was there was no ketchup anywhere in the dining area and had to wait for a staff member to bring it out.

Omg. It was a gyro. How simple can that be. The meat was bathed in salt. It managed to be bland and salty at the same time. Just awful.

Way too expensive for the quality of food. Plenty of other Greek restaurants worth the money.

Looking around of other patrons of the restaurant, you know you're going to get the real deal for Greek food. The place was painted in a light blue with some decor to remind you of Greece. Im not an expert in Greek food, so I got the Greek combo and everything on my plate was delicious. Someone in our group got the Greek trio and when I saw the dolmades, I was dang.. that looked good too. If you come here, you have to get the Saganaki... not only do you get a show, but that cheese is tasty as he'll. Definitely would recommend. Again, not a Greek expert, but it was all good to me. Plus our server was great, which made the experience that much more enjoyable.

I have been coming to Greek Islands for a number of years, and this is a much-needed review of my…read moretime in the restaurant. Greek Islands, I consider the gold-standard for Greek food in Omaha and I'll explain why. First of all, the ambiance of inside of the restaurant is one of the reasons it sets it apart from other Greek restaurants, where more and more restaurants put less effort or really no effort in the decor. You actually feel like you are somewhere in Greece with the high temps for Omaha summers but no Sea. It's also a great restaurant to cater to a larger dinner party. Secondly, I have never had to wait very long at all to get my food. The Service is always friendly and fast! I sometime forget to not fill myself up on the complementary bread...but it happens...and I'm pretty sure it's Rotella's bread! I love a restaurant where the servers are attentive to refilling drinks like soda and especially water. Lastly, I am a creature of habit, and I usually choose a Gyro platter...this platter is so massive it's more than two servings, which is great for leftovers. And when your servers ask, "Are you interested in desert?", you don't say, "No", you say "Yes, the baklava please!". The prices are very reasonable for a nice dinner out. I will also add that it is very noticeable that their take-out is very strong here, on multiple occasions I've seen so many people come in the restaurant just for take-out. If you want what I consider to be the best Gyro's in Omaha, check out Greek Islands.

The gyro was flavorful and cooked perfectly, while the Greek potatoes were seasoned just right. For dessert, I enjoyed the baklava with an ouzo, which was the perfect way to finish the meal. The atmosphere was great and inviting, the music fit the restaurant perfectly, and everything was clean and well-kept. The staff was friendly and made me feel welcome throughout my visit. If you're looking for authentic Greek food in Omaha, I highly recommend "Greek Islands" restaurant. I'll definitely be coming back again! Also, if you can, you can check them out at the 2026 omaha's original Greek festival coming on August 20th, 21st and 22nd. Come say hi!

I opted for the chicken kebob platter. It came with a salad, rice, chicken, pita bread and some tzatziki. The first thing I began to eat was the salad. I don't know what kind of dressing it had, but it is similar to a balsamic but not as tangy. It was really good. Then, I tried the chicken by itself first. It was really tasty! Then I tried it dipped in the tzatziki sauce. It was even better! The rice was flavorful as well! Not just a plain white rice!
