The pizza is very tasty. R really loves the buffalo chicken pizza, and we've had the indian pizzas which are really good too. The buffalo wings are also really tasty, they are not saucy - more "hot wings". This was a hard review to rate because although I had stomach upset I still ate some leftovers knowing I would get sick again, because it was so tasty. Wish I could leave 0 stars. TERRIBLE customer service, the owner is extremely arrogant. This has been TWICE where I have ordered a pizza and they tell me 15 mins, I arrive in 15 mins and it's not even prepared yet (In a rush, have to be at work). So really, the timeframe is a 1/2 hour. On the second time, I told the owner about how this isn't right etc, he got upset and threw the pizza on the shelf and go elsewhere. The food is pretty good, we enjoy the pizza and the prices are good for what you get. My only problem,with the grafton location, is that there are times when they say they are open and are not. I called to order food at 9:40 when they close at 10, I live 5 min up the road and was going to pick up so didn't think it would be a problem and was told they close at 10 everyone had left and he was too and then hung up. If you close at 9:30..then write that. It is not the first time this has happened on a Friday when they are open until 11 I drove there at 10:15 to find it already closed. It is a minor annoyance since I am close by but I like if places actually stick to the hours they claim to be open. read more

This is quite possibly the most unprofessional establishment in all of Worcester County. I ordered a pizza online and called to make sure the order went through. The girl I spoke with said yes and that it should arrive in a few minutes. After 45 minutes, I called again. She said it had just gone out for delivery and that it would be there in minutes. After another 45 minutes of no pizza, I called again and the same girl answered and immediately put her manager on the phone. I was greeted by a hot-tempered man who clearly did not have a grasp on what it means to own a business. He yelled at his employee over the phone for telling me a lie, I appreciated that. My order apparently didn't exist even though she confirmed it with me TWICE. He asked me again what happened but continued to yell as I explained. He cut me off for the millionth time and asked what I ordered and that they would deliver it shortly. I said no thanks, I'm ordering from somewhere else. Before I was done telling him that he hung up the phone. Pepperoni Express, you're rude and your pizza sucks anyway. Few days ago, I happened to be at the shopping plaza where Pepperoni express is located in Shrewsbury. I was going to the right and other two cars were coming out. So I had to back into the parking space for Pepperoni express until the oncoming cars were out of the driveway. A man in Chef's uniform stormed out of this pizza place and started swearing at me in front of my kids. "Are you stupid... are you blid... you #$%$" and he went on and on without giving me a minute to tell him that I was n't parking there. We tried this place at the Grafton location last year, and the pizza was under-cooked. A year later, figuring we would give it another chance, the pizza was over-cooked, the lettuce in the salads was wilted and brown, and they didn't take our order correctly... giving us subs instead of wraps and forgetting a few toppings we specified. The subs are actually decent when they get the order right, however this time, sub-par. I should have known by looking at the empty parking lot every day and night, but at least now i can close the book without wondering if i was missing out on something. Today was my first order from Pepperoni Express. And my last. I ordered jalapeno poppers and a small pizza with pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms and black olives. The poppers were good (it's kind of hard to mess those up) but the choice to serve ranch dressing with them was weird (they have a cheddar cheese filling). The pizza was something entirely different. The first thing I noticed was a lack of cheese. Shouldn't it at least cover the top of the pizza? Not in this case. The size was good and it was a bit overcooked, but not terribly. On first bite, I knew I wasn't going to like this. There wasn't very much sauce and something tasted funny. It took me a few to figure it out but I finally did. The sausage. I'm not sure what kind of sausage that was. It was sliced very thin and had a very strange taste to it. It threw off the taste of the entire pizza. Also, the mushrooms were paper thin and there wasn't a lot of pepperoni, either. The delivery was really fast (less than 20 mins). Not sure how they did that. I called and asked them to credit my money back and they said NO. They told me I had to drive there and pick up the money. I ordered a thin crust pizza for delivery this evening and received a cold pizza with a raw crust within about 20 minutes of my phone call. I've been ordering from here for several years and have never had any major issues with the food. I drove to the restaurant to return the pizza and was offered a new pizza but declined because they gave me several different flimsy excuses for the raw pizza and none made sense. They said they refunded my money to my credit card and showed me a void slip but refused to give me a receipt. I asked them to refund the driver's tip and they actually asked the driver for the money. I refused to take it from him and considered that a cheap move on the restaurant's part. It's not the driver's fault the pizza was bad. The quality of the pizza has deteriorated over the past couple of years and I'm not sure if it's due to a change in ownership or not. Have been eating and ordering delivery at the Grafton location for years. Tried almost everything but our favorite is the thin crust pizza with chicken and roasted peppers. Their salads are excellent and the fries are amazing. Recently tried the gyro, which was even better than the calzones. I visited the Shrewsbury location with my Groupon last week. Turns out they don't accept Groupons....what? Apparently the owner of the Grafton spot cut a deal with Groupon unbeknownst to the Shrewsbury owners. The groupon clearly has both locations listed. I am not lowering my rating because of this. If what the woman working the counter said is true, they have hired a lawyer (not sure if they are going after Groupon, or the Grafton owner). I got 3 pizzas - cheese, pepperoni, and onion & pepper. ****Roach in food!!!!********This pizza place is very close to my house and I would pick up dinner here about 3-4 times a week. Not because it particularly good, but it is insanely close. This past week I ordered a large cheese pizza, two subs and their "unique" pasta dish which is: ziti pasta in a Alfredo sauce with asparagus, bacon and chicken. As Im sitting with my family to eat dinner I serve myself some pasta and take about five bites when I notice what appears to be a huge (about an inch long) roach mixed into the pasta!!!! I pass the plate to my husband and step son and they confirmed that yes, it was in fact a huge roach! Im a chef by trade and have been working in the industry for over 13 years and I have never seen such a huge bug, let alone a roach in food before! Hair, pieces of rubber gloves, small pieces of plastic yes. But a bug that big I can't even begin to imagine how they missed it! Apaulled I run to the bathroom dry heaving and very nauseated. After I gather myself I walked back to Pepperoni's with the same disposable plate I was eating the pasta on and the rest of the untouched pasta. As I approach the front door I realized the side door (only about 20 yards away from their front door) that leads to their prep kitchen is wide open! No screen or anything. I reach the front counter and hand the plate I was eating off of containing the roach in clear view with the rest of the pasta to the guy who rang me out. As I put the plate and rest of the pasta down on the counter I say there's a bug in it. The man, oddly enough had a magnifying glass on the counter grabbed it to examin the plate. At that point I tell him you don't need a magnifying glass to see it! I then go on to tell him that's it's no surprise theirs a bug in it the kitchen door is wide open! The man takes the plate and with no apologies asks me if I would like him to remake it. Shocked that he would even suggest it and angry he didn't even bother to apologize, I reply I'm all set I just want my money back! And without uttering another would the man just hands me $10. This was by far the worst display of perfesionalisum and customer service I have ever seen or experienced. No apology, not even a full refund for the meal!
