I've heard a lot of great things about Pepperoni Ray's on Facebook recently and wanted to give it a try. We called the restaurant directly to try to place and order but they mentioned they needed us to place the order through Waitr or UberEats so we did that. After placing the order, the app said it would be ready in about an hour and fifteen minutes which was longer than we would've hoped but understandable given that many places are understaffed right now. The prices were great and I really appreciate that they offer combo deals. We got a large pizza with mushroom, onion, and bell pepper and an 8-pc hot wings. The food was ready right on time, the pick-up was simple, and the staff was friendly. The pizza was satisfying and we were thoroughly impressed with the wings. I could honestly say those were some of the best wings I've had in the city, they were crispy even after being well sauced and they were perfectly cooked. read more

@pepperonirays is the real deal. I regret not trying this pizza sooner. The Big Easy was good, but that BBQ chicken was on another level. BBQ chicken pizza is one of my all time favorites and I had the best one I had ever had in Houston. I have searched and searched for one just as delicious and boom baby I found it. I couldn't get enough. Do you ever save the best bite for last? I sure do and gosh I just had to savor that flavor. Now don't pass up on that cheesy bread. Finally tried this place tonight after drooling over the menu. We got the Gentilly pizza. It was incredible. Crust was A+ (traditional thinnish crust) and toppings balance was perfect. Gouda and pesto worked super well together. We also got the Ultimate Cheese bread, and it ruled. We gotta try the wings next. I think we found a new regular pizza place! read more

We rarely treat ourselves to pizza, and were starving on a recent weeknight. There are only two pizza places near us in the Gentilly area. We decided on Pepperoni Ray's as it looked like customary pizza with normal types of toppings (I am not into super "fancy" pizza with toppings that don't belong on pizza). You may think a vegetarian has no place at a pizzeria with the name "Pepperoni" in the title, but you would be very wrong. Pepperoni Ray's makes a delicious vegan pizza, the "Garden District", and their regular veggie is delicious sans cheese also. Perhaps a retooling of the name is in order? Pepperoni... So I have heard of Pepperoni Ray's in many of the Nola food forums and the reviews have all been positive. I still like to make my own determination when it comes to food. So when I got decided to give them a try I went in unbias. But I have drank the Koolaid : ) I got the Big Easy Pizza and the Inferno Wings. I got a small pizza which surprisingly was quite big (6-8 slices). The wings were juicy and a nice size. The taste was slap ya momma good. The quality of the food was worth every dime.
