Ok, let me be clear... this place was not perfect. Service was spotty. Took a long time to put in our orders, and longer for them to come out, and I got my large freshly made pie well before my friend who had ordered the combo with the single slice. I suspect they realized they didn't have any supreme pizzas left, so they had to make that slice fresh--pretty easy to tell by the shape and the fact that all the toppings were grouped at the center. So why the 5 stars? My non dairy Margherita pizza was IMPECCABLE. Seriously the best non dairy pie I've ever found, in New Orleans or anywhere else. Had I not been told it was vegan cheese, I would NEVER have guessed... In fact I was stressing and expecting an allergic reaction the whole time I chowed down. So thanks, U Pizza! For restoring the joy of pizza after years of resigning myself to fakeass tasting cheese substitutes. I don't know what brand you used, or by what witchery you accomplished this, but I'll be back, and will probably make a habit of ordering delivery too. This Italian American is very happy. read more

OMG!! Distraught, shocked, and nauseous are just a few words to describe what I saw when I walked into this restaurant! A friend told me how good their pizzas are. I remember it being Slice so while out Saturday evening I decided to go try a slice. So, I entered and the gentleman behind the bar near the entrance did not greet me, he signaled for a young man to come and take my offer. The bar area appears normal except there was only one patron at the bar enjoying a drink. I stated I wanted to order one slice of pizza. The young man stated there are no slices, just whole pizzas. I turned around and looked at the menu on the wall to see if I wanted anything. I asked where the restroom was so I could utilize it. What I saw was so awful I would not use the restroom, nor touch anything, much less, eat here! THE PICTURES SAY IT ALL!!! The bathroom was so disgusting and a large sign on the wall said to not flush any toilet paper!!! The back dining area is utilized for trash, storage, piled high junk, and a motorcycle!! And there was an employee working with napkins and silverware at a table in the midst of the filth. Yes, I'm not lying! This is right by the kitchen!! On the way back on the front I realized there were no patrons dining on this section! There was a couple dining in a booth, one gentleman alone, and the one at the bar. I tried to take a pic of the kitchen area but I was being watched! So I decided to quickly leave. Upon exiting I decided to take a pic of the outside of the rest and then noticed the menu on the wall! Just look at the pic and you understand the owners standard, period. It's a Saturday night in New Orleans!! It used to be packed when it was Slice. I know why and feel bad for anyone ordering delivery from here because they have no idea how disgusting this place is!! First night back visiting NOLA we found this in walking distance of our guesthouse. Despite feeling embarrassed - all the different types of food NOLA has and we first get pizza - we are glad we did! My wife and I dropped in at U pizza because it was a short walk from our hotel and she needed a break from the spicy food we have been eating on our visit in NOLA. U Pizza was accommodating. All we ordered was a side ceaser salad, small supreme pizza and cokes. Salad was was nice and fresh and the pizza was great. Full of vegetables and meat and a nice crispy crust. Actually very good. I'm a regular here and I highly recommend! The gluten free pizza is actually really good, and tastes like a regular thin crust. All pizza comes with one ranch cup (hell yeah!). My friend and I ordered the 8 Piece Mac & Cheese Bites ($8.00) and Meatball Plate with Garlic Bread ($11.00) as appetizers. For the pizza, we ordered the 10" (which is a small) Felicity Pizza ($14.00). This pizza included garlic butter sauce, artichoke, mushrooms, and other sorts of veggies. All of our foods were made fresh and had good portions for the price. Again, I want to emphasize how great the service was! They were really welcoming to us, especially considering that we were POC customers. Our server also got us complimentary cups of water for to go since it's really hot and humid in Louisiana these days. I walked in here thinking that they sold pizza by the slice. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and unfortunately they don't sell pizza by the slice. So one of the gentleman recommended a small pizza for myself, and I'm happy he did. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. While living here in New Orleans I've tried multiple pizza places, and they were all just okay until now. I ordered the small meat lovers pizza and a paradise park to go. When I arrived home I opened the box and the pizza not only looked amazing it smelt amazing. The pizza was really good, the crust had just enough crispy and the right amount of cheese, and of course it was loaded with toppings. They also made sure to put red pepper flakes package in the box, which of course I added to my pizza. Lastly, I heated the leftover pizza up (in the oven) and it was still pretty good.
